“ Brand: Revlon / Spray / Type: Body Spray / Suitable for: Body „
I get lots of confidence from smelling good and feeling fresh so I use a lot of perfumes and body sprays. A recent body spray to find its way into my Asda trolley on a shopping trip was Revlon Charlie Glam Body Spray and it will not be the last time I buy it. Charlie is a name that has been around for a while and the old Charlie red used to be a big favourite of mine in years gone by, so when I saw this body spray it was a no brainer for me to give it a try. This Charlie glam body spray is in a very pretty eye catching white aerosol can, it contains 75ml and would normally be priced at £1.99 but Asda had it on offer at £1.19. the can has black writing and what looks like a picture of a jewelled necklace. The fragrance is a fruity one and the main scent appears to be one of raspberry, it is not overpowering or super sweet as many fruity scents can be, it is instead a subtle but long lasting, very pleasant aroma. I would say this is more of an everyday scent rather than for evening wear but it will see you through an 8 hour day no matter how stressful or energetic it might be. I am not sure it fits its glam and sexy billing but that aside it is a very nice body spray!
Charlie Glam Charlie Glam is one of my favourite body sprays of all time and that is because it smells great. I love its jewellery design spray can because it is so unique and girly. It has a very fun and sweet fragrance. It does actually smell of sweets! I always use Charlie Glam before and after i finish doing P.E at school and so many people have asked me what i have just sprayed on, one girl even asked me to buy one for her birthday even though (i don't really know her.) It's great for getting rid of the B.O smell because it is quite strong and i think the smell lasts for quite long, too. And it only cost about 2 pounds, a bargain! For me, i think that there is absolutely nothing bad about Charlie Glam. I buy it all the time whenever the first bottle gets finished and i never get bored of the `sweet` smell that it has.
Body spray. Well a girl surely can never have enough of the stuff, unless that gal is me! I own bottles and cans of the stuff because I simply adore them. I use them as all over freshness and fragrance in the summer time when our usual scents can react with sunlight (not that we get much of that but you know what I mean lol) and I use them for burst of overall fragrance as a body spray (my main purpose). I do like my branded sprays as I prefer the fragrances usually as they aren't so harsh when you spray them but also I find when paying that little bit extra that they tend to last a bit longer too and me well I've said it before and I shall say it again... I have a life. Although I like nice things I wanna use them and go and forget all about them and the products I use to quietly work for me, it's that simple! Charlie to me is an old fashioned range. I'm slightly familiar with it cos my Mother used it when I was a kid and when I was growing up I fell in love with Charlie Red , perfume etc but to be fair their wasn't a lot of choice in products back then like there is now (crumbs I sound admitting that old lol). I was surprised when I saw this funky looking can in my local Boots. I paid 99p for it on offer but it's normally about £1.99 a can in Boots and Superdrug etc (so do look out for offers such as it being half price or buy one get one free or buy one get one half price etc). Like I say though I was quite surprised when I saw it was Charlie and felt the need to buy and try it! The Packaging.... 75ml aluminium white aerosol can with integrated plastic push button. On the front all in black writing I'm told it's Charlie, 'Glam' Perfumed Body Fragrance, Deodorant Parfume and there is a picture of a jeweled necklace. On the back of the can I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use, given some warnings, then everything I've just told you appears to be written in a foreign language, contact details for Revlon are given (the manufacturers of Charlie products), the flammable and recycle symbol are on there along with the size being stated and finally there is a bar-code. Nice 'posh' looking tin I must say! About The Product.... According To The Back Of The Can.... Dress to impress with this new Charlie Glam! A glamorous cocktail of bergamot and raspberry....just bring on the jewels and you'll be red-carpet ready! The Charlie collection. A fragrance to suit every mood, giving you the confidence to do your thing! Directions For Use... Hold can 15cm from the body and spray freely all over. My Experience.... Well using it is as easy as you would expect it to be. I spray this all over my body (or where desired) at sort of arms length. It goes on quite wet but dries very quickly and doesn't dry the skin out nor make it greasy and is none irritating. No residue at all is transferred and it takes a few seconds to dry (if that). The fragrance is that of a fruity aroma. Charlie say this is a bergamot and raspberry blend but I have to be honest with you all I can smell is sweet, fresh raspberries although it's still not an in your face fruity smell that's overpowering. Once applied it is extremely fragrant but in a none fake or hard/harsh way and that smell really settles down and lasts on the skin a couple of hours. It does get into clothing and bedding etc but it does wash out easily and wash off the body simply too. Overall.... A nice fruity smell that doesn't hang about too long. It is unusual and although it is made up of a fruit smell it isn't cheap or in your face in any way shape or form but red carpet ready after using this? No. To me this is a spray that freshens you up instead of making you feel 'glam' and sexy. However it is a nice daytime fragrance but not my favourite one by miles!
Santa has been so good to me that I wanted to come along to Dooyoo and share my wonderful good fortune with you. New Charlie Glam body spray is way up there as one of the most beautifully fresh and provocative body sprays of all time. Let me tell you how my love affair with Charlie began (psst., don't tell anyone, but my husband's name is Nick!)....it was 8 years ago when I first moved back to Nairn. Times were hard, and I had just started a new job. I had been out of touch with the real world, and it had been some time since I had got myself smart but casual for the purposes of going to work, this includes fragrance, make-up, etc. So now I had to do this....I had a very tight budget, and so I bought a body spray (as I cycled to work, I was very conscious of the fact that I had to be extra fastidious about my personal hygiene!). It just so happened that the first ever body spray I bought was Charlie Red....ooh, wow, what a gorgeously sexy oriental aroma that had! Its simple, really, ever afterwards, my lovely husband decided I should have a new Charlie for Christmas. He said he had to feel a right Charlie to know which were "right" for me!!! He did, and ever afterwards, he has purchased not one, but two for me for Christmas....Christmas 2008 saw him giving me the new Charlie Glam, which is just out of this world....it comes in a 75ml aerosol distinctive slimline body spray with the also-distinctive Charlie logo on the side....NEW! in large red letters and the word GLAM underneath and then a lovely chunky necklace of stones and beads and the words PERFUMED BODY FRAGRANCE DEODORANT PARFUM. The back of the can yields the words "Dress to impress with new Charlie Glam! A glamorours cocktail of bergamot and raspberry....just bring on the jewels and you'll be red-carpet ready! It is so true. Whilst I deplore the new celebrity culture, I can definitely see myself in pomp and splendour wearing this perfume. It is so me....it has the most incredible hit of powerful raspberry and as I have never come across bergamot before and do not know what it is, I cannot say if it smells like this, but suffice it to say that there is a beautifully distinctive strong Charlie perfume smell and the raspberry is what really lasts for such a long time afterwards. I put it on today at 11am and it is now 2pm and I can still smell the raspberry....so wonderfully festive too...makes you want to go find some tinsel and dance around the room to your latest "Now..." cd....catch my drift?! Do treat yourself....you will be so glad to feel a right Charlie ever afterwards!!
