“ Brand: Sanex / Type: Roll-on / Suitable for: Body / What it does: Vitalizes, Protects „
Usually I buy aerosol deodorant, but I decided to try something new for once. I wanted to try a roll-on. Sanex seemed to have quite a big range and this was attractive to me because I like a product that has other ranges that I can try out if, for example, I like some aspects of the product, like the scent, but if I don't get on with that particular type. So yeah, this was one I definitely wanted to try.
Availability - You can get hold of this deodorant in most supermarkets as well as Boots, Superdrug and Wilkinson. It is a good price at around £1.20 and is usually on offer.
Effects & Advantages - When I started using this deodorant, I was surprised that it had such a lovely scent. It is quite strong though, so people with sensitive noses might not like this aspect. I wear this all day to work and as I work in retail, I'm always running around getting items for customers, so sometimes I do tend to get quite hot. I feel like the scent of this deodorant really stuck around all day and I didn't feel like I needed to reapply, although I would have done if I was going out in the evening, to freshen up. I also like the shape of the bottle. I know that is something which is quite trivial, but to be able to hold the bottle easily when applying the product to your underarms is a welcome bonus.
Disadvantages - I would like to say that there aren't any bad things about this product, because I really do like it, but that just wouldn't be being honest. The one thing that I could really do without and I think the reason I started using aerosols in the first place is the drying time. After applying the product, you have to wait for a while before putting clothes on because it is quite thick and gloopy and have made slightly greasy stains on my clothes if I put clothes on while it is wet. I usually just apply the product when I'm out of the shower and then I do my make-up before getting dressed.
Overall Thoughts - I love the scent of this product and I think this is important due to the nature of it. I like the way it lingers and doesn't fade away because obviously I want to make sure that the scent stays all day. I would say to just make sure that you are careful to let the moisture dry on your skin before putting clothes on though, mainly to avoid getting any on the material. Aside from this minor problem, I would definitely recommend this brand, and it will be my firm favourite for a long time to come!
I bought this deodorant because the one I usually buy is usually a BOGOF deal, but wasn't when I needed a new one, and I decided to try something new.
I thought that this was very reasonably priced and that was, as I've implied, a factor in my decision. It cost about £1.30, compared to the £1.99 that the deodorant I usually buy cost. I also recognised the brand so I thought I would take a look at it.
Unlike the one above, mine has a green lid and says that is has 0% alcohol in it. I don't know about the issues surrounding using alcohol in things like deodorants but I know I've heard things about it being bad for you so I thought that was a plus.
It also says that it offers 24 hour protection which was better than the 12 hours offered by mine and just means that if I go out straight after work then I don't need to take it with me and reapply it in the bathroom of a pub!
I thought all these things were good so far, so I decided to smell it (and for those of you that read my review of Alberto Balsam's Tea Tree Tingle yesterday, you'll know I can be sold just on smell!). It has a lovely, light and fresh smell. It is also somehow a summer smell. (Aren't smells hard to describe?!)
So, with a good price, no alcohol, 24 hour protection and a lovely smell, I decided to buy it!
I used it a few days later when my regular roll-on had run out. I don't like using new deodorants because no one wants white marks or to have sweaty underarms and when you have a deodorant that you know doesn't cause white marks and protects you, it's good to stick with it. So, I was apprehensive.
I put it on and it took five or ten minutes to dry which is about average I suppose. I could smell the light smell and was pleased with that.
During the day I checked a couple of times to make sure I didn't have white marks, and I was really pleased to see that I didn't.
I was also aware of having dry underarms all day and into the evening.
I don't think that the protection really is 24 hour though, because late in the evening I did feel that it was wearing off.
I have been using it everyday since and have been really pleased with it. This is a name brand deodorant that offers protection for at least twelve hours and does not leave white marks. I'm really happy with it and highly recommend it, and I'll buy it again.
Thanks for reading my review.
I have tried many deodorants and i think that the Sanex dermo re-vital brand may be one of the best ones i have tried. It contains no alcohol so it does not irritate the skin. it also works for 24 full hours tried and tested.
I am an active person who is a little overweight (lol 3 stones over) and because of this activity i tend to sweat alot and get quite heated.
The version i choose to review is the Zinc and Magnesium one which has a burgandy top, the label says it is dermo active which means that the ingredients work actively to keep you fresh for longer throughout the day or night. The fragrance is fresh and flowery and not harch like some other.
I have not noticed any white marks under my arms while using or white marks on my clothing, so i would definately recommend the Sanex dermo re-vital Anti-perspirant deodorant it really does keep your skin healthy and fresh from daily ups and downs.
There are four different sprays, two excel products which are half the size and 5 roll-ons. They range from sensitive to extra protection.
One thing i did not realise is that mens skin is thicker that womens because of the testosterone in their systems, and because of this they need a stronger concentration in their deodorants to keep their skin fresh.
If you need further information you can visit their website which is www.sanex.net
As I have sensitive skin I struggle to find products that don't irritate me too much. I used to use Dove deodorant but after a while this started irritating the soft skin under my armpits. As deodorant is something that I use everyday it is vital to find the correct one for me.
About 2 years ago I saw Sanex dermo sensitive anti perspirant roll on deodorant on the shelves, it attracted me because it was sensitive, also because it has a unique bottle and the bottle is actually upside down so that the deodorant is always ready to use!!
I purchase this in my local cheap shop for £1.29, as previously mentioned the deodorant is a roll on, but this is upside down and clicks into a clear plastic section, this means that there is no more shaking the roll on and waiting for the deodorant to make an appearance, you are guaranteed that this roll on is always ready to use. The roll on comes in two colours, peach and purple, now these two have different scents but it doesn't state what they are on the bottle, so im afraid I cant give any more information on that. I have the peach one at the moment and it has quite a floral fragrance, which is very pleasant. I have tried the purple one also and this too smells nice. I also have to say that it lasts a long time, the bottle I am currently using has nearly run out but I have had it for roughly a month, so is great value.
Sanex Dermo Protector offers 24 hour total protection for any skin type. I have found that this is the case, especially on a sunny day, with some other deodorants I have found myself having to re-apply but not this one, it keeps me fresh all day long. On the bottle it states that Dermo Protector prevents body odours through biological action that regulates underarm skin flora. This active, fresh formula with minerals protects and respects your skin and contains 0% alcohol. Your skin will feel comfortable and dry, all day long. Sanex is also available in a spray, but I personally prefer roll on, as I usually get white marks on my clothes with a spray
Deodorant is something I use (like most people) every day. Therefore when ever I'm about and see an offer on decent deodorants I buy them whether I need them or not. I have stacks of them and my preferred type of deodorant is spray on one's as a rule but recently every spray on one I've used has not only turned my clothes white but made my underarms feel dry. So when I saw this deodorant (Sanex, Dermo Revital Roll On Anti-Perspirant Deodorant) on offer in my local Sainsbury's for £1.17 (buy one get one free) I picked a couple up to try.
For me Rolls on can be a wet, sticky and damn well horrible stuff to use so I was apprehensive but at this price it's worth a go!
The bottom is a frosted clear plastic and the roll on part slides into the top and is a burgundy colour with little dented holes in it. To make it secure you have to click it into place. The roll on part is white shiny plastic. The front labelling is white and clearly stated who the product is by and what it is and tells me this keeps skin healthy. The back label is also white and again tells me who it is by and what it is and also tells me....
'When getting older skin changes, which can make your under arm skin feel less fresh and elastic. Sanex Re-Vital:
Actively works with your skin to give it the extra protection it needs (24h)

I'm also given contact details for Sara Lee (the manufacturers of Sanex and the ingredients.
Well the roller ball is quite large. First time you use this you have to rub for a couple of seconds before the product comes out easily (as you do most roll on's). The smell of this is really, really nice to my nostrils. For something you stick under your arms it's a really sophisticated smell. It's smells to me of orchids and has a sweetness about it that takes away what could be a rather sickly smell.
It comes out really well and gives an even coverage, easily. A couple of wipes is all you need and it doesn't come out soaking wet, just a layer of quite thick liquid that dries within seconds.
This is definitely a ladies deodorant and the only off putting thing to me about this deodorant is the packaging. It's not very attractive and is really quite bulky and it's a shame because it doesn't scream buy me off the shelf next to other products when your looking at this type of thing. Personally I wouldn't give this a second glance unless it was on offer. However the product does give off an 'I will work look'.
...and work it does!
Everything about this deodorant other than the packaging is flawless. Simple to use and quick drying. It dries quick and is nicely moisturising. When I use a deodorant I like many people need it to work for me all day long and don't even want to think about it. I want to use and go. With this all that is needed is one application and and I know for a fact (for me) on more than one I've needed it to work more than the 24hrs and it does. Not once have I felt sweaty (or smelt it) or felt clammy and yukky. With this deodorant as well I have found the fragrance to stay for quite a while. Not 24hrs of course but I've found the smell to linger on my armpits for about 6 hrs and when the smell is gone it's still working.
The brilliant thing about this product is that not only does it keep armpits smooth and silky, fresh and dry but doesn't get clothes white! At all! I mean sure let it dry for a few seconds first before dressing that's only sensible after all but really there's no residue left on clothes. This is really important to me cos I wear a lot of dark clothes and nothing worse than being out and realising your armpits have dandruff!
If you something that works and you want to kind of moisturise as well be fresh this is for you. If your the sort of person where appearances count (the packaging) then this isn't for you. It's a hard working, decent size (50ml), secure packaged product and meant to help with the signs of aging. You can use it in confidence and it smells lovely. What else do you want? Your still here? Thought you'd be gone to Sainsbury's lol
2 for 1 at Sainsbury's at the moment £1.17 for 2.
Can be found in all good supermarkets and chemists and do look out for offers!
