I bought a can of Sanex dermo sensitive lactoserum for the first time a few weeks ago. I have always liked the Sanex brand - for me it has been a guarantee of good quality; so I was happy to part with the £1.99 for the small 150ml can from Sainsburys. I expected great things. I must admit however, that I was disappointed by the very ordinary results I got from this brand. The blurb on the can was encouraging: it claims to provide 24 hour protection, works against odour causing bacteria and respect the skin's bacterial flora with it's bio-response formulation. All very impressive and scientific. It advises to apply only on healthy skin and hold the spray 15cm away from the underarm - the usual type of advice you get with these products. Well, my skin is healthy and I applied as directed but I guess my 'flora' didn't fit. It didn't seem to provide 24 hour protection for me. At the end of a hot day I was in desperate need of freshening up. Perhaps you are supposed to put far more on than I did but I wasn't bowled over by the results I got. I wasn't keen on the scent either - it's light, floral but smells more 'artificial' than some anti-perspirants I've used. On the plus side it was gentle on my skin and didn't stain my clothes. It contains no alcohol and is designed to keep your skin healthy, offering smooth, moisturised skin. I felt confident with it on for about six or seven hours - then it seemed to start to loose it's effectiveness somewhat. Perhaps that's just me - lots of others have given this product rave reviews. I'd give this product 3 and a half stars but the rating at the bottom doesn't cater for it. For me - it's O.K. but it doesn't rock my world.
Im never overly impressed with deodorants and find that I tend to just buy what is on offer at the time because as of yet I have not found one that works well enough that I go back to the shop looking for it. In fact I sometimes wonder why I bother using deodorant atall. The 3 main problems I find with deodorants is that 1) they at leave white marks on my dark cloths 2) they irritate my under arms 3) after running around after my 2 year old or at work I notice I need a top up which is not always possible at the time. but has sanex dermo sensitive managed to break this trend? Read on to find out :) I would not necessarily say that this bottle of deodorant is atall eye catching on the shelf up against other deodorants. Sanex dermo sensitive comes in a bottle size of 150ml which is a fair size for a deodorant. Other brands of deodorant do have bigger sizes avaiable but I would not say you would need a bigger size. And sanex only being available in this size does not effect your decision when buying it. This bottle design is very simple it's not a straight bottle design it has a dip that goes the whole way around the bottle about 3 fingers from the top (my fingers obviously this will vary for everybody) I'm not sure what the purpose of this dip is but I have found that when using this deodrant my thumb and finger next to my baby finger fit nicely around this dip with the finger next to my thumb comfortably resting on the spray part of the bottle so maybe this is the purpose of the dip. On the front of the can there is the blue sanex logo taking up the 3 finger space above the dip. This does Stand out on the bottle as the colour of the bottle it's self is white. Under the dip there is the word dermo in the same blue as the sanex logo. Under this in slightly bigger text is the word sensitive in peach. It also claims on the bottle that sanex dermo sensitive offers 24 hour protection. It also claims it keeps skin healthy. there is also a picture of 2 bubbles which I think is to symbolise the fact that it is sensitive. On the back of the can You have the sanex claims for this product which are; Protection: effective protection or 24 hours Moisturisation: for softer and moot her skin Balance: allows your kin to breathe There is also the directions of use which are the same as every deodorant. The spray part of this can is peach and a chunky design with a nice dip in for your finger to rest on when using this. I found this is so easy to use you don't need to apply as much pressure as you need to with other products as it has been designed to be used easily. It has been disigned so that you do not need to push it down far for the deodorant to come out which is great as I have found with previouse deodorants that I have had to use more than one finger to apply enough pressure to get anything out. So far so good. The smell of this deodorant is very neutral and fresh there is nothing that stands out about the smell of this but you kind of expect this from a sensitive product I have found in the past that anything with to much fragrance is not very sensitive on your skin. The spray comes out with a dispersed effect and I have found that holding the can in one position covers all of my under arm so there's no need to move the can around to ensure coverage this also prevents wastage of the deodorant. This deodorant dries very quickly and instantly feels smooth I have been using this everyday for 2 weeks and have not experienced any irritation at all. So this deodorant has already ticked one box. So now for the cloth test. So I grabbed out my tight black tshirt which was sure to rub against my under arm and I was thrilled that there was not a single which mark left on my top. So thats the second box ticked. Now for its staying power. Which is the important one I have been making my way through the deodorant aisle trying to find a deodorant that actually kept me feeling and smelling fresh for the whole day. This deodorant had already ticked 2 boxes was it about to make it 3. So I started the day with my spray of deodorant managed to put on my cloths without any white marks now to complete the house work and chase around after the 2 year old. When we hit about 1pm after applying my deodorant at about 7am I gave a little sniff to see if I needed to reapply and I must say I was extremely pleased that I still smelt and felt as fresh as I did when applying it. So then 5pm came and it was time to get ready for work the freshness smell had started to wear of but I was not in any way 'smelly' but I did decide to reapply the deodorant before I headed off to work where I spend 6 hours running up and down a supermarket. So along came midnight and it was time to go home and yes I sill smelt fresh. This deodorant has been impressing me everyday since. I can actually not find a fault with it at all. I bought this deodorant in m locall tesco simply because it was half price for £1 so usually in tesco it is £1.99. I have since been back and stocked up while ts on offer but I would not hesitate paying full price forth is when I do run out. The price may very in different shops and can be bought in all supermarkets, shops selling deodorants and online. This is a widely available product. All in all this is my deodorant I have spent years searching for it and just wish I had tried it before I have absolutely no fault in this so have to give it 5 stars. I would recomend this to everyone!
~*~*~Introduction~*~*~* When it comes to deodorants I am not a brand loyal person and will usually pick up a can of whatever is currently on offer in Boots or at the supermarket when doing the weekly shop. In the run up to Christmas I spotted Sanex anti-perspirant on offer in Morrisons for 89p for a 150ml can. Anything under a pound catches my attention, especially when it is a good brand so I threw a can in the trolly. ~*~*~*What is it?~*~*~* I chose the dermo sensitive anti-perspirant Lactoserum as the peachy coloured lid caught my eye, the claim of 0% alcohol pleased me but I have absolutely no idea what Lactoserum would do for me. A quick look on the back of the information packed can tells that the anti-perspirant offers me 3 benefits to keep my skin healthy. 1) Effective protection for 24 hours. 2) Moisturisation for softer smoother skin. 3) Allows my skin to breathe and is dermatologically tested. I am still none the wiser about Lactoserum, maybe it is the scent. ~*~*~*How to use~*~*~* As with all spray on anti-perspirant you need to give the can a good shake and then point it under your arms and spray. The dispersal of the product is very good and comes out in a nice strong shot. Once on the skin the product dries almost instantly leaving virtually no white residue. ~*~*~*In use~*~*~* I find the can very easy and comfortable to hold, it is a fairly small can with a nipped in section near the top giving it a slight hourglass look. The lid pops off easily and is easy to replace. The colour combinations on the can work well and the information on the can is informative enough without going into the realm of jargon. The anti-perspirant works reasonably well it keeps my underarms feeling fresh between my showers each evening. I am very sparing in my use of anti-perspirant as I like to use perfumed body sprays. I have not noticed any staining of my light or dark coloured clothes from the anti-perspirant and it has also been very gentle on my skin, my underarm area is reasonably well moisturised and I have suffered no irritation. The scent of the anti-perspirant is floral and powdery; I don't think it is a scent for younger people, it actually smells a little old fashioned for me and I am 34 but it is subtle enough for me to use with my favourite body sprays and perfumes and it keeps me fresh and dry all day so I am happy enough as I paid less than a pound. ~*~*~*Conclusion~*~*~* I have been using the anti-perspirant on and off for nearly a month now and I still have a third of the can left but I am very light handed in my use of anti-perspirant preferring the scent of my perfumed body sprays to be the dominant scent. The anti-perspirant has been very gentle on my under arm area and does not sting when used after shaving. The anti-perspirant works reasonably well at keeping my under arms fresh and dry between showers but if I have a very active day where I am blitzing the house or carrying shopping home from town I do notice a little bit of dampness but I still smell fresh. Priced at 89p I think it is a good anti-perspirant but I would not pay full price for it as I don't think it is anything exceptional. I never worked out what the Lactoserum referred to, if it was the scent it is a very strange name. Thank you for reading.
For the past few months I have really been struggling to find a good antiperspirant, one that lasts all day long! I've never before had much need for an antiperspirant, but lately I do. I've tried a variety of products on the market, roll-ons and spray, from small boutique brands to big names. But have not had much luck and find myself needing to spray again around 15:00 in the day. Then, about a month ago, I found Sanex on offer in my local supermarket and decided to try it. I can honestly say that I have never been so delighted with a deodorant as I am with this one. The smell is light and fresh, with a slight hint of a powder/talcum smell. The spray doesn't cause any white build-up under my arms, which I have found to be the problem with quite a few antiperspirants. This Dermo Sensitive spray is definitely sensitive on the skin, even after just shaving. It lasts all day and in the morning I can still smell the faint hint of powder/talcum. Finally I can be confident all day long without the unnecessary stress of possible body odour.
For a while I had been using Nivea pearl spray deodorants as I found they worked well and smelt good but the price of them got abit too much for my budget, Sanex is a brand that is frequently on offer on both the large and smaller cans so it's great value for money. As I can often having sensitive arms after shaving I was a little worried that I could have a reaction to a new deodorant but Sanex sensitive was brilliant! It doesn't have an overpowering scent with it as many can which is very off putting, it doesn't leave white marks even if sprayed lightly over clothing at a reasonable distance of course and the style of the spray head means you can still use it any way round and get a burst of freshness. It lasts a long time throughout the day so there's no need to carry it around if your going out and about and worried about being caught out. It leaves you feeling clean and fresh for hours. A great product at a great price that really does work well for sensitive arms.
I am having a huge problem finding an antiperspirant that: A) works B) smells nice and C) doesn't bring me out in a rash. I've tried loads of the ones for sensitive skin and at the moment I am giving Sanex Sensitive a go. It cost me £2.50 for a 250ml can, though it also comes in a roll-on. I've tried both and they both gave me the same results. The first time I used the spray I instantly liked the scent. Not too overpowering and a fairly pleasant perfume. It felt a bit wet as it went on, but there were no powdery deposits on my clothes, though it did take a while to dry and felt a bit clammy for a while. I have to say, that unlike some of the other so-called 'sensitive' antiperspirants, this one has not brought me out in a rash, so that's a plus for me. The only problem I have with it is that it really isn't all that effective. After about 2 hours my underarms were wet with perspiration and starting to whiff, so I had to spray again. This continued throughout the day. At the rate I was using the stuff I would need to buy a new can every other day! I don't consider myself to perspire any more than is usual for a woman of my age, so I was a bit disappointed that this antiperspirant wasn't very effective. A big thumbs-down from me, I'm afraid!
** Sanex Dermo Sensitive Anti-Perspirant Deodorant ** Sanex deodorant seemed like a good change of my other deodorants. It promises to be a soft deodorant that is also suitable for sensitive skin. The deospray has ingredients like milk proteins that should give extra care to the skin. It also contains Dermo active complex which have three key benefits for the skin: protection, hydration and maintaining the natural balance. This complex protects the skin's natural pH and improves the protective layer of the skin and should restore the natural balance of the skin. ********************************************* The deospray comes in a rather narrow and long metal can with white and salmon pink color. The salmon-colored cap is removable and protects the spray system. The cap can fall off in your bag but because it's length its not really suitable for a bag anyway. At the front is the logo of Sanex in white letters on a dark blue background and on the back you find all the product information, ingredients and more information. ********************************************* It is a colorless spray that smells nice and fresh. The smell is hard to describe but it is not overwhelming and more soft, fresh and sweet. It is a fresh and pleasant deodorant spray that is not overly strong. Your skin stays the whole day free of sweat and odors and remains soft. The smell is very discrete so this way you can still use a good perfume without being influenced by the deodorant. ********************************************* It is a good and effective deodorant for you to use for the whole day. I did notice that you might need to apply it more than once during a very hot day or excessive exercise. It doesn't seem to irritated or dry out my skin. The smell is lovely but very discrete so you can easily use a perfume. There is no alcohol in this deodorant so if you use this immediately after shaving without any irritation.
-Introduction- After being dissatisfied with a sanex roll-on, I thought it was sanex spray next to try. As usual, it was on offer in the supermarket, so I bought one. I have sensitive skin, especially after shaving, so the Dermo sensitive was appealing. -Positives- It is really sensitive to the skin. I hate that stingy feeling or sharp coolness that hurts with some other brands. This was really nice though. Even straight after shaving it did not sting! I love the design, a nice big bottle with a cap and spray mechanism. Nice and simple and lasted ages! The pinky peach colour of the bottle and spray mechanism is a lovely feminine touch I think. The deoderant lasted longer and was more effective than the roll-on sanex. I also thought it had more of a fragrance than the roll-on, quite pleasant but sutble and fresh. -Negatives- I did find that this product did not last as long as some of the other spray on brands, I understand this may be a trade-off against being soft for sensitive skin, but still I had to reapply in the day. It didn't last all day as other makes do. The bottle is really a bit too big to be taking round with you in your bag. A smaller bottle may be more practical as it doesn't last so long. -Conclusion- A definite for sensitive skin but not as great value for money as other well known brands.
If you have problems using other products due to the ingredients etc, this is a very good chocie. I have been using Sanex Dermo Sensitive anti perspirant aerosol deodorant for the last 6 months and can say at this stage I am really glad I went for this product . You can find this anti perspirant in many supermarkets and shops and it usually retails at about £2 for 150ml tin. I usually bye my tins from tescos as they are usually on offer most of the time. Sanex really is a brand I trust as I have had no problems at all with the product, the scent, availability and cost are all beneficial to me To anyone reading this review, if you're after a good quality deodorant that smells good and doesn't ruin your clothes, try this out. The only downfall I find is that tinned deodrants don't last as long as roll on but I have just found out that there is also a roll on version on the market - great news! The spray is very easy to apply to the body, just ensure when you spray you are half a foot away from the armpit otherwise getting to close can be rather cold. A good thing is that when applied you don't get lots of the spray turning to a white type powder and failing from under the arm like snow flakes, this spray generally sticks to the area where it is applied. The idea of the spray is for those persons who a proven applicant that can keep out bad smells and also be kind to the skin at the same time, the product contains mamy natural ingredients which really are good to the skin. When the product is applied, it is very effective. The spray gives off a lovely fresh and clean type odour which isn't too strong and works well for me. This really is a good anti perspirant and is well worth trying if you are looking for something that little bit different.
Because I do suffer with excessive sweating particularly when nervous I have tried in the past deodorants that cater for this problem with little success. My husband finds it very hard to find a deodorant that does not irritiate his skin and he had tried the sanex range but they did not suit him. Even the natur protect for sensitive skin (reviewed here) caused irritation and itching for him so he stopped using them. I thought as the smells were quite neutral and therefore unisex I would give them a go. I used his Sanex excel Fresh concentrated anti-perspirant first which works really well for me (will review it if I can find it in the catalogue) and also the one for sensitive skin when that had run out. This deodorant contains the mineral alum which helps to protect against body odour whilst allowing the skin to breathe as well as being a very effective deodorant against wetness. There is something quite reassuring about something that uses natural products that are deemed more caring for you especially in this otherwise very chemically overindulged world. Changing from Mitchum (a deodorant that is supposed to give 48 hour protection but didn't) to using Sanex products which do but only state 24 hour protection, I am really chuffed that I came across this brand. Although it didn't suit my husband (so it may not suit everyone) it certainly suits me and if you are affected by sweating under the arms it's defintely worth a try.
When it comes to buying deodorant I usually always opt for Dove products. Since using Dove, I have been more than happy with it, so opting for a different brand is not something I have considered for some time. However, when out shopping recently with a friend who suffers from sensitive skin, she was stocking up on Sanex bath products in Boots whilst they were on offer and also picked up a couple of Sanex deodorants. Sanex products are the choice of many like my friend who suffers with sensitive skin, but it is not a brand I have ever given any thought or consideration to as I do not suffer from sensitive skin myself. My friend recommended I tried some Sanex deodorant as although I do not have sensitive skin, she said it does leave the skin under your arms feeling really soft, is a great deodorant and has a nice fragrance. I replied I was quite happy using Dove, but she pointed out the Sanex was on offer at buy one get one free, meaning I could buy two 150ml cans for £2.09. I decided I had nothing to lose by trying it and purchased two cans of Sanex dermo sensitive 24 hour anti-perspirant deodorant, as this was the one my friend was purchasing herself. There are a few different Sanex deodorants available in both spray and roll-on form. The packaging isn't anything really eye-catching, in fact I think it looks 'sensible' and rather bland. Sanex promises to keep skin healthy and their unique Dermo Active 3 Complex offers 3 benefits :- Protection - effective protection for 24 hours Moisturisation - for softer and smoother skin Balance - allows your skin to breathe Sanex deodorant contains no alcohol and is dermatologically tested. It is to be used only on healthy skin and you are advised to spray 15cm from your underarms after shaking the can and allow to dry before dressing. The first thing I noticed when I came to use this, was the very strong fragrance. I think because the lid is a peach colour I was expecting it to smell peachy, but I would describe it as a heavy floral scent which I actually found quite sickly! I must admit the fragrance put me off. I do not like it at all but I sprayed it on to my underarms and hoped the smell would quickly disappear. After spraying, it seemed to take quite a while for the deodorant to dry. I don't know if this is because of the 'skin breathing' formula, but it did seem to take a lot longer to dry than my usual deodorant and even when I came to put on my top, it still wasn't totally dry. Under my arms felt a little sticky throughout the day. I can't say my skin felt any softer, it just felt sticky! The fragrance did disappear quite quickly, which I was pleased about and the deodorant gave me decent protection, but it did not last the 24 hours it promises. I did need to re-apply later in the day. The next morning, after my shower, I returned to using my usual deodorant as I really wasn't very impressed with this at all and to be honest, I really couldn't face using it because of the fragrance. I gave both cans to my friend who pointed out that deodorants work differently on people and results vary from person to person, which is fair enough, but I did tell her I found the scent rather sickly. To be honest she was chuffed to be getting another two cans of her favourite deodorant from me and joked she will recommend products to me more often! Sanex dermo sensitive deodorant isn't something I will buy again but I am aware a lot of people do like it. It's just not for me. For those who do like Sanex deodorant, it is available from Boots right now on a 2 for 1 promotion.
Sanex Dermo Sensitive Anti Perspirant Deodorant I feel as if I have tried every single deodorant on earth. Some I do not like the smell of, some are way too expensive to buy on a regular basis and some simply just do not work. A brand that works for your sister, friend or mum might not work on you so how do you honestly choose! I am not an overactive person so I do not have a problem there. My main problem is going from a warm car to the cold platform of the train station, having a 20 minute fast paced walk and then back into a hot office. This can leave me feeling a little sticky sometimes. Sanex Dermo Sensitive Anti Perspirant Deodorant is just one of the many deodorants I have tried because they were on offer - I believe this one was available for £1 at Tesco. Sanex is one of my firm favourites and we always use the bubble baths and shower gels so thought that this is sure to be a brilliant product. The packaging is really quite plain and boring but this design is carried throughout their range so they are easy to spot. As this particular deodorant is for 'sensitive' skin it is shown in peach with a peach lid and label. On the front of the tin it states that Sanex gives you effective protection for 24 hours, cares for your sensitive skin, does not contain alcohol and that it actively works with the skin whilst still allowing it to breath. Directions Spray for a few seconds about 30 centimetres away from your armpit and then repeat on the next one. I usually leave to dry for 5 minutes of so to stop the spray coming into contact with my clothing. The smell of this product is girly and pleasant After a day I certainly did not smell but the deodorant did not keep me dry. In fact the deodorant didn't feel as if it dried from the get go. It felt very greasy on my skin and I was quite upset to find that it had also stained my very expensive favourite dress and no amount of soaking can remove the stains much to my dismay. Price and Availability This product is available at most well known chemists and supermarkets and retails at around £1.79 for a 250ml canister. It certainly worked for me in terms of keeping odour at bay but was not happy with the fact that it was very greasy and did not dry. I have even tried drying it with the cool shot of the hairdryer and this did not seem to make a difference either. But just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean that it's not fantastic for others. I probably would buy this product again but not whilst wearing anything expensive or black! www.sanex.net Sanex is well known for their work alongside the British Skin Foundation.
