Advantages: Smells Beautiful, applies easily and sinks into the skin
Disadvantages: Too pricey and the fragrance wear off
I got the Girligo Body Moisturising Mist as part of a gift set a few Christmases ago and it was a product that I had never really looked at from the S&G range even though I have tried a lot of the range. Although I like the fragrances of the S&G products the body mists never really appealed as I love the Impulse Body Sprays and Natural Collection Body Mists that much. As I had a good stock of these, the Girligo say at the back of my bathroom cabinet for nearly a year. It wasn't till I was having a clear out that I came across it and figured I use it basically to use it up out of the way...I don't like throwing stuff away as I feel it's a waste so I would rather plough through them than chuck a full product away.
S&G say that Girligo will give "temptingly fragrant, softer, smoother, more supple skin". It comes in a 250 ml bottle that is a traditional spray applicator. The bottle is a cloudy cream colour with "Girligo" on the front in black writing and stars surrounding the S&G logo. The 250ml will cost you around £6.50 from Boots (but it is often on the 3 for 2 offer). I have noted that the picture above shows the bottle as coming in a box, but in my local boots it is supplied without the box, as was the Girligo I received within a set. I found this to be quite expensive for the 250ml bottle and if it hadn't been given as a gift I probably wouldn't have bothered buying it for the price. I normally find the S&G range to be realistically priced, and you normally get huge tubs of the stuff for your buck but Girligo is an exception.
Its ingredients include:-
Bergamot
Peach
Strawberry
Jasmine
Mandarin
Musk
I found you could pick out most of these fragrances particularly the Strawberry Jasmine and Muck. It is a lovely blend and the fragrance is beautiful!
I started using it after a shower at the gym as I found that on these occasions I was taking 2 showers a day and my dry skin would tingle and become very tight after the second shower. And as I was at the gym I just didn't have the time or inclination to apply a proper body moisturiser. So I threw the Girligo in my bag. After my shower I sprayed it on my arms and legs (these are where I have the worst of my dry skin) and gave it a quick rub in. It smelt great, a nice aroma which smelt like strawberries and jasmine, which are key ingredients. It applied well and only needed a slight rub to sink it in the skin. I was impressed with its moisturising quality and it stopped my arms from becoming tight as they normally are. Although my arms and legs felt better than if I hadn't moisturised at all, after a few hours the moisturiser did wear off as did the lovely fragrance and my skin returned to feeling tight. I continued to use it at the gym and found the bottle lasted around 2 months with a daily spray to my arms and legs.
Overall, it is pretty good for dropping in your gym bag for a quick pick me up after your shower. It is not moisturising enough for my dry skin but smells and feels great on your skin. It wears off quickly which is a shame as it smells great, and it does seem expensive for what you get. If you used this all over your body it wouldn't last long at all!
Summary: Not a S&G product for me
