“ Brand: Soap & Glory / Body Care Deodorants / Type: Deodorant Spray / Subcategory: Soap / Suitable for: Body „
I love soap and glory products, and therefore I (luckily) get lots of Christmas and my birthday as they are an easy thing for people to buy me. I got this deodorant as part of a home made hamper my Mum made me packed with goodies. I try and keep my new toiletry presents for special occasions to make them seem like a treat, so the next holiday I went on I made sure I packed this.
Soap and glory products always come in funky packaging and this was no different as it was decorated with the cool retro style and cute pictures. The name was also a play on words and was called glad pits.
The deodorant was a spray in a metal container. It was easy to press the button down and apply. It was not too cold or shocking to the skin like some deodorants are, and applied evenly, easily!
The deodorant smelt gorgeous, nice and almondy like a lot of the soap and glory products I liked. I hoped this would be a chance to retain the gorgeous smell on my skin for a bit longer than the moisturiser and other products lasted.
I waited a while and put my top on, but still got a few white marks, so it's best to let your deodorant fully dry before you put your clothes on, to avoid last minute panic with a wet flannel!
At the end of the day I could happily say my armpits, and clothes I was wearing did not smell sweaty and horrible like I had overdone it. The deodorant had passed the most important test it could!
In conclusion this is a fantastic product. It smells great and works well at keeping me smelling great. The only downside is that it is slightly more expensive than the mum and sure products I usually buy when they are on special offer in Tesco and Boots! Therefore I will be saving buying this for special occasions and will really look forward to using it!
Soap & Glory Glad Pits deoderant
I am a really big fan of all of the soap and glory products and I have tried loads inlcuding the body scrub and body butter. They all smell so nice and they all do what they claim to do. One thing that I like about the soap and glory products is that they are made in the UK, most of my cosmetics and bath products are not but these are made here! Another thing that I like about these products is that they are quite quirky and different to most of the other products on the market and they also have little puns on there packaging.
Glad pits is there new deoderant which smells really quite nice and smells a little bit like some the other products in the range. It also says that it is 'low whitening formula helps prevent tshirt streaks' This is true as I have not really had a problem with white marks on my darker clothing.
It comes in a retro style pink bottle and it also contains aloe extract. It says that it is a 24 hour anti perspirant and in my opinion it does not last for 24 hours. But it does last for most of the day and it does smell really really nice, unlike some deoderants I have tried.
But for a spray deoderant it is a ok and it is normally £4 at boots. But it is now 1/3 off so it is £2.67! So it is really worth a try.
*Nice retro style packaging
*Available at boots - 1/3 off
*Smells really nice and contains soothing aloe extract
*Does not last for 24 hours but it lasts most of the day
*Did not really leave any white marks on my darker clothing
*Made in the UK
*But unfortunatley there are better deoderants on the market
Thank you for reading my review
I love the write up Soap & Glory have given this product:
A single spray will turn your unruly underarms into Glad Pits !
Dew or Dry? With Odour-Armour built-in for fresher underarms!
Normally, I wouldn't dream of spending 4.00 on a deodorant but it would have felt rude not to take advantage of the recent 3 for 2 offer at Boots. The ingredients listed for this product are aloe vera extract, odour armour (?) and parfum. As you can probably tell I'm somewhat intrigued by the odour armour description !
I couldn't wait to put the deodorant to the test. Soap & Glory claim that it's a 24 hour anti-perspirant with a low whitening formula. The deodorant is in the very distinctive and girlie Soap & Glory pink packaging and the first thing I noticed when spraying the deodorant was the Soap & Glory smell ... very fragrant, floral and sweet. The deodorant felt much lighter on my underarms than my regular product (soft & gentle) and my skin felt soft and not clogged.
I put the deodorant through several tests, a day in the office, a day xmas shopping wearing several layers and carrying lots of bags and a day at home. I found that regardless of my activity, the fragrance tended to wear off after a few hours ... either that or I just stopped smelling it. However, more importantly the deodorant performed really well with dry underarms and no white marks. I even felt like I didn't use as much of this as I would my regular deodorant; however, due to the cost of Glad Pits I haven't used it everyday so I don't know if it would last longer than my regular deodorant.
Glad Pits performs really well, it left my underarms feeling soft with no trace of any white marks but the cost does let it down. As per the other reviewers I will continue to use Glad Pits but will save it for special occasions unless of course I decide to see how long it lasts in comparison to my regular deodorant and then I will edit my review.
Since I have recently found a job after years of trying I like to try and treat myself to a few things each month that before I wouldnt have been able to really afford so a lot of the Soap & Glory products fall into that category and this particular product was no different. It was one of about three items I treated myself to last month because I think £4 for a deodorant is a little excessive. But hey off I went home to try it out.
This product is in just the same shape can as most normal deodorants with the push down aerosol button at the top. It comes in typical Soap & Glory retro design being pink in colour and having the usual black & white photograph on the front.
Not only does this spray claim to give you wonderful smelling armpits but it promises to last for at least 24 hours and not leave you with any white marks or stains on your clothing. So pretty much everything you could possibly want or need from a deodorant.
The first thing you notice when you spray this is the gorgeous smell which smells a lot like other products in the S&G range, very fruity but has floral tones when the smell dies down. I know with a lot of deodorants they can smell artificial and chemical but this one really doesnt and it actually stops you sweating and smelling. I find that the smell lasts around 2 hours but it carries on working for around 6 hours before you need to re-apply. Well that's how long it works for me anyway, and that's on a day when I'm at work and doing a lot of things so it lasts even longer if your not really doing much. And white marks? What white marks? I was really impressed that this didnt leave any marks or stains on my clothes because that is one thing that irritates the hell out of me!
As mentioned in the other review on this product the instructions on the back of the can did give me a right chuckle "If product gets into eyes rinse well with water immediately, and perhaps consider some training to improve your aim"!) That's a reason to buy the product if nothing else! Lol
Overall this is a fantastic deodorant that does exactly what it says on the tin. However I think £4 is just to much to spend on a product like this for everyday use. I will buy one can and only use it on special occasions, I simply couldn't afford it every time I need a new spray.
For the reasons above I do have to knock of two stars but other than that it is really hard to see where this product is going wrong!

I had always been tempted by the Soap & Glory range, but it always seemed a little bit pricey so I never bothered with it until I saw that Boots was selling all products in the range on a 3 for 2 offer. One of the products I decided to try was 'Glad Pits', a '24-hour anti-perspirant' with "'odour-armour' built in for fresher underarms". What appealed to me about this product was the claim that it contains a 'low-whitening' formula to help prevent white marks. As my current deodorant, excellent though it is, isn't too good in the white-streaks department, this sounded good.
Another thing was the packaging. I really like the Soap & Glory packaging anyway, with its use of black and white retro pictures on a pink background, but considering that most deodorant comes in very dull white packaging this one really stood out. The funky name and description on the back ("If product gets into eyes rinse well with water immediately, and perhaps consider some training to improve your aim"!) made this product stand out even more.
I tried this deodorant one morning, and can confirm that it does not provide white marks! I was very impressed with this, as let's face it most deodorants fall down in this area, but there was no sign of any. The smell was really nice too - I can't put my finger on what it is but it definitely smelled better than the artificial scent most deodorants have. It lasted all day too - not that I generally have the habit of sniffing my underarms, but I did want to judge the product!
The deodorant was very effective too, and I felt clean and fresh all day. It wasn't quite as good as the extra-strength ones you can get from Dove and Sure now, but that's only to be expected. Compared to normal deodorants, it definitely comes out top.
I have deducted one star for the price - £4 for 150ml is a bit more than I want to be paying for an everyday deodorant. I'll carry on buying it though - even if I only save it for special occasions!
