“ Brand: Sure / Type: Antiperspirants - Spray / Gender: for women / Suitable for: Body / What it does: Rejuvenates, Protects „
I usually buy Nivea Pearl however I have become less impressed with it as time has passed and decided to try something new. I assume the bottle has recently been slightly rebranded as it is now in a much sleeker shape with a different style top. Despite the more attractive look of the product it was more the smell that attracted me to the Sure Biorhythm antiperspirant.
I have been very impressed switching to this brand and product, in particular I notice that I smell much fresher for longer, with no underlying smell of sweat - this leads me to believe that it is genuinely working in sync with my body to keep me fresh. Even after sport I still smell pretty great!
My only slight niggle is that if sprayed too close to the skin this can cause white marks on clothes, this never used to happen with Nivea Pearl, however this could be put down to the fact that I need to use it slightly further away than other deodorants.
Biorhythm is a new deodorant from leading brand Sure, and is available from most good supermarkets and chemists. A 150ml bottle costs £1.79.
I was attracted to this product as it makes some impressive claims and these are the types of things that I would look for in an antiperspirant deodorant.
Sure say: "You cannot buy a more effective antiperspirant aerosol for women. Sure is intelligently balanced to work in sync with your body.
Long lasting protection against wetness and odour with a light fresh fragrance.
Alcohol free, pH balanced and dermatologically tested.
Body responsive, 48 hour expert protection."
The deodorant comes in a standard aerosol spray can, and has a clever alternative to a lid. The can uses a sliding lock system to allow you to open or close the spray nozzle. This is very practical if you are going to be carrying the deodorant in your bag or taking it away with you, as it avoids any accidentals leaks or spills and you don't have to worry about a lid falling off.
Directions for use: "Shake well. Press down firmly on first use. Hold can 15 centimetres from underarm and spray."
The deodorant is very easy to use, simply shake well and then hold the can in position to reach your underarm, then spray as required. It is cooling to the skin during application and has a fresh, clean smell that is very subtle and will not intrude if you wear a perfume or body spray, it is quite easy to mask.
Unfortunately one of the biggest downsides about this product in my opinion is that it does not dry well and can quite often leave white flaky clumps of powder on my skin. Even when it looks like it has dried properly I still end up with awfully obvious white marks on my clothing, which is inconvenient and time wasting when I am getting ready in the mornings. I wear black clothes often so I prefer something that does not leave marks on dark coloured fabrics.
As for protection from sweating during the day, it seems to do a reasonable job, but by the time I'm on my homeward bound commute I am usually feeling sticky and the effects wear off well before the proclaimed 24-hour period. I had hoped that the deodorant would kick in and become more powerful when I needed it, as it claims to be responsive to your body. However I was still breaking out in a heavy sweat when exercising of even just going for long walks. Maybe more appropriate for light protection or during the cooler months. The claim that it protects for 48 hours is plainly ridiculous. It saw me through the day as long as I wasn't being too active, but was not enough to keep me fresh and clean when I exerted myself, and I did have to re-apply every day.
All in all I think this is an average antiperspirant, but I have to mark it down a little more as white marks are one of my biggest annoyances. I wouldn't use it again, although I have had better experiences with other Sure deodorants.
I found this reduced once, for one pound fifty and I knew I had a performance next week (as I am a drama student and performing is hot and sweaty work) so I thought I'm going to need double the deodrant I normally use. And I saw the forecast for the week and saw it was going to be hotter than last week! Which was nice for some, but not when you're an actor but at the end of the day you have to perform in rain or shine!
However I wouldn't say that this is the best deodrant to use cause if you are wearing black clothing (which was my costume sadly) it leaves a horrible white mark, but it does brush off, as well you may need to rinse it under some water to get rid of it, but it isn't actually too bad in a way.
To be honest I do not like the smell, as it smells a bit like air freshner rather than deodrant - so this was a put of for me buying this product again. Also the smell was too strong.
When performing I got a feeling that the deodrant didn't last cause I still felt sweaty and hot after performing, so the deodrant didn't last the two performances. Very annoying!
This might just fit in a handbag but you're probably going to need a big handbag for this to fit as it about 200 ml. It is sold in superdrug, Boots, savers, wilkinson and various supermarkets and it sold for about two pounds however wilkinson and savers will probably sell it a bit cheaper than other stores. Or offers are one for about two for three pounds.
Overall, this isn't the best deodrant to buy and if you want a deodrant that last don't buy spray ones, it is always better to buy roll on ones cause they usually last longer than spray and as well it is pricey in some stores too.
I've always had a bit of an obsession with making sure that I'm smelling fresh and, especially in the summer, am constantly checking that I'm not too sweaty to keep the dreaded B.O away! This obsession probably stems from months spent travelling on public transport and being suffocated by the body odour of certain people who don't seem to have the same hygiene standards as most people. This has resulted in choosing which deodorant to buy becoming a very important decision.
The main reason that I chose to try this product was because I had recently decided to change from using spray on deodorants to a roll on one. I've heard quite a lot about the possible health effects of spray on deodorants and their possible links to breast cancer and although this hasn't been proven yet I want to be on the safe side! Also roll on deodorants are better for the environment so all in all switching from aerosols seemed a good idea.
Sure deodorant has always been a brand that I trust and they have a large range of different products to choose from, all claiming to control body odour and sweat in different ways. Sure 'Bio-rhythm' deodorant is both a deodorant and an anti-perspirant, meaning that it won't just mask body odour but will also help to stop you sweating too much too.
One thing that I really like about this deodorant is it's fragrance. Some other brands that I've tried have had really strange smells that aren't particularly pleasant and for me, the smell is definitely important if you have to wear it all day. This product has a really light ,feminine smell that reminds me of fresh laundry and lasts all day thanks to Sure's 24 hour protection promise.
The aspect of this deodorant that supposedly makes it different to other products is it's 'biorhythm' feature which basically means that it reacts to your bodies temperature changes and increases in sweat throughout the day to keep you smelling sweet. I must admit I haven't really noticed anything different in this aspect, but then I don't do much sport so never really work up too much of a sweat.
The container for this product is much more convenient than the old style Sure roll on bottles. There is still the standard concept of a container filled with deodorant with a ball at the end to roll the product onto your underarms but the container stands upside down so you don't have to wait ages for the last little bits of deodorant to come out when the bottle is nearly empty.
Sure Biorhythm is not a very expensive deodorant and is often on offer in supermarkets for £1 which is when I always stock up. Overall it is a good deodorant for keeping you smelling lovely all day and lasts for weeks which for me is more economical than spray on deodorants. I would definitely recommend it!
I don't have a car so the only way I get to work everyday is powerwalking over 2 miles every morning, which does leave you feeling hot, sweaty and bothered by the time you arrive. Because I sweat a lot (lovely i know!) I have always been very self conscious about smelling bad at work or turning up with wet patches under my arm. I have tried all sorts of deodrants - Dove, Nivea, Sanex and Vaseline Intensive Care (as I have eczema under my arms I need a deodrant which doesn't sting and is sensitive to my skin). I ruled out roll-ons ages ago as they just leave you feeling clammy.
I then tried Sure Biorhythm (because it was on offer) and it knocks all the other anti-perspirants off the shelf! The smell is very fresh and sweet without being too over-powering. With other deodrants like Nivea and Dove, I felt I had to keep checking (sniffing) under my arms to see if it was still working. They didn't smell fresh and as a result, I would keep re-applying and therefore use more. Whereas, I apply Sure Biorhythm in the morning before work and it leaves me feeling dry and confident all day. Come 5:00pm I can still smell the freshness! Another bonus is that it doesn't leave those horrible white crusty bits under your arm (that I seem to get from Nivea deodrant especially).
I would definitely recommend this to all women who are active or who sweat excessively and need that assurance that not only will their deodrant work all day long, but will also be gentle on sensitive skin. And of course not forgetting it has a lovely smell too!
I recently bought this deodorant for £1 in Tesco as an alternative to my all time favourite, Dove, which are usually quite expensive so I stock up when they are on offer.
The Sure Biorhythm is a deodorant which claims to work in sync with your body, so this sounded good, so I bought it.
The packaging is a light lilac with a cool little slidey thing (I don't know what else to call it!!) on the top to lock the press down spray so it won't get wasted if it is in a bag or case.
The smell is very fresh and quite sweet so may not appeal to everyone, however I love the smell and it stays put all day. When I put my arm up for something I get a lovely smell of my deodorant (sounds weird, I know!!!!). But I have tried many deodorants that go on smelling lovely, but by lunchtime the smell has completely gone!!! There are no horrible white powders that get left behind or any white marks, which is a plus as many deodorants leave me with huge white stripes down the sides of my clothes!
Now to how effective the product is....I am not a big sweater under my arms and mainly sweat on my neck and under my lip for some reason!! :) But when it does get pretty hot my underarms become a bit moist. Sure Biorhytm promised me "long last protection against wetness" but I have found that I still sweat with the deodorant on. So that was a letdown as Dove always used to control my sweating so that it didn't show through my tops, however Sure just didn't do the same! There was no odour, just wetness under my arms! :(
All in all the deodorant smells lovely and has some good claims, but it just isn't as good as Dove!
I first bought this antiperspirant because i was intrigued by the advertising that promised a deodorant that worked hard when you do. interesting, i thought.
i work in a super humid office, so anything that could help in the battle against underarm wetness is a good thing in my eyes, so i decided to buy this and give it a try. nothing ventured nothing gained!
i bought it from boots, in the smaller size (it comes in two sizes, one handbag size and the other a full size version). instead of having a cap it has a slide on the side which locks or unlocks the spray, which is quite useful if you plan to keep it in your handbag like me, the last thing i want is white marks all over my purse.
it has quite a pleasant scent, light and fresh like cotton or linen, and the spray is constant and even. it doesn't leave obvious white marks like a lot of deodorants, but it's not completely invisible so best to apply it to dry skin and give it a couple of minutes before putting on your top if you're one of those people who always ends up with white stripes all over your clothes.
all in a all, it's a great deodorant, and i definitely felt like i was drier and fresher by the end of the day compared to what i was using before. altho it doesn't completely cure wetness, there was definitely no odour at all, so i'm going to give this one a thumbs up.
