What a lovely smelling deodorant! The first time I sprayed it I realised that there was really no point in using my perfume whilst wearing it as the smell was so nice on it's own. Some might see this as a disadvantage I know, but it is a lot cheaper! Not only is the bottle pretty, but you also feel nice when wearing it. Well, apart from the stickiness of it. Now, I don't know whether this is because I sometimes forget to shake the bottle, but unfortunately the biggest disadvantage to this deodorant is that the lovely smell seems to be coming from some sort of glue substance, that seeks out your body and clings to it all day. It's especially annoying when you have to wait to put your top on because it is taking forever to dry. It isn't very comfortable, but I would have to say it is almost worth sacrificing nice soft armpits for the scent. Almost.
This deodorant is by far by absolute favourite one of all the ones on the market. If the bright pink can wasn't enough to suck me in in the first place, the smell is lovely too. Unlike many others, it doesn't have that usual 'deodorant' smell which my partner often describes as 'overpowering' and it smells more like a body spray or perfume than a deo. This product will keep you dry all day long. And you will only need to apply a small amount (one or two squirts do the job just fine!) for it to do it's job, which then means the can will last about a month. Just make sure you hold the can about 15 cm away and shake it well before use otherwise you will end up with some classy white marks on your arm pits and/or your best top! but I guess that is the same with any deodorant. I am not committed to any brands but I would always buy this over others, although I do find it quite pricey so I always stock up when it is half price. One of the major supermarkets or pharmacies always has this on half price so definitely worth keeping your eye out. If I ran out and had to spend the full amount on this, I wouldn't hesitate as I could definitely rely on this to keep my dry and smelling fresh all day long!
Along with my other daily essentials I always apply deodorant as part of my morning routine. I am not brand loyal when it comes to deodorant, but due to the good prices lately I have been using Sure a lot more recently. === The Deodorant === This deodorant is 'Bright' from Sure's fragrance collection. It is possible to get the same fragrance as a roll on, but this review is for the aerosol spray. There are other scents in the fragrance collection that you may wish to consider if 'Bright' isn't for you. === Packaging === This spray is available in the larger sized spray cans, but the one I am using is one of the 'compressed' 75ml cans. The packaging is the same for each size. The cylinder shaped can with an indent towards the top is white/pale pink in colour with the Sure logo and Sure 'tick' in pink. There are also pink flowers going around the can. Then of course you have your standard ingredients list, etc. printed onto the can. I'll admit it was the colour scheme of the can what attracted me to this in the first place - it's pink and girly (I'm not always a girly girl... honest). It is really easy to spot this one on the shelves which has been useful when out shopping in a rush. The compressed cans are 75ml, which supposedly have the same amount of product in them as a larger 150ml can, just compressed further. I prefer to have smaller cans so I can just chuck one in my bag without it taking up too much room. It may also be worth bearing in mind that anything 100ml or less is acceptable in your hand luggage when flying. Seeing as I wanted my deodorant with me (just in case... you never know!) it was especially important for me to have a smaller can on my last purchase. It is also more environmentally friendly to use these smaller cans (less packaging, more cans can be transported in a smaller space, etc.). Aerosol cans are recyclable depending on your local facilities. === Price and Availability === Most recently I bought this spray from Superdrug for around £1.20 for the compressed 75ml can. At this price I do feel the product is good value for money. Sure is a big brand name and is as well as Boots and Superdrug is generally available anywhere that sells these sorts of products: supermarkets, chemists, stores like Wilkinsons, etc. I have seen a range of prices and offers so keep an eye out. If the size of the can isn't a problem I have found the larger cans to work out be the same price, if not cheaper, than the smaller cans in terms of mls of product per pound, but as previously mentioned I prefer to have smaller cans. === Usage === You use this the same as any other deodorant spray - hold a distance (recommended 15cm according to the tin) and spray. As with any spray I would recommend doing this in a well ventilated room. The spray has a nice floral scent to it. It does also have a vanilla like sweetness to it, but in my opinion this is not overpowering. This may just be because I happen to love sweet things (both to eat and scent wise!). The scent does stick around for a couple of hours or so after applying, which I love. Just wish it was longer! I do sometimes spray this on my clothes to help the scent stick around. In terms of a deodorant and anti-perspirant though the effects thankfully last longer. The tin claims they last up to 48 hours - I can't say I've tested this out - but an application in the morning is generally enough to make me feel protected all day. I would then normally apply again in the evening if I was going out anywhere. This seems to have been fine for your normal standard days. I did have a couple of issues when on holiday. In the Mediterranean heat this product was going to have a tough fight on it's hands. I must admit though generally I felt sticky more than sweaty - if that makes sense, possibly aided by the fact I was constantly covered in sun cream. I kept the can with me so I could have a nice floral top up if I felt I needed it. A quick spray and I'd feel a little refreshed, but nothing felt better than a cool shower after a busy day sightseeing. On a different note though, I like to take my dog to the park on my bike - Both my dog and I have more of a work out than if we just walk. At a slow to medium pace (my dog only has little legs, have to give him a chance!) and a relatively unfit me this deodorant is enough for me to not feel like I have drenched underarms, though I do get a little sticky and always shower afterwards to freshen up. === Summary === I love the scent, and I love the product. For general day to day use this product is long lasting. There is also the added bonus of I have not found it to leave white marks on me or my clothes like some other sprays. I am happy with the product, have re-bought it, and most likely will again. The only gripe I have is that I wish it would perform a little better during exercise and in hotter climates, which is why I have dropped one star.
I am quite faithful to the Dove Deodorant but I do find it to be a bit on the expensive side. Because of this, whenever I find myself running out, I will try a cheaper alternative. That cheaper alternative happened to be one of the Fragrance Collection Deodorants by Sure as I found it on offer. What does the product do? The product has been designed to stop you from sweating and to stop your armpits from smelling unpleasant for up to 48 hours. It comes with an added fragrance to keep you feeling extra fresh and clean. It is alcohol free and dermatologically tested. Range There are a number of deodorants in the fragrance collection. I chose 'Bright' which has the fragrance of white flowers such as Jasmine, apricot and warm vanilla. Also available is 'Radiant' which has the aroma of Raspberries and Magnolia with woody notes and 'Glimmer' with the fragrances of Lime, Cassis mixed with vanilla and musk. How do you use the product? The product needs to be applied to clean and dry armpits. You need to shake the can and hold it 15cm from the armpits and spray. Packaging As well as the product being on offer, the packaging was the main thing which caught my eye. It comes in a white can which has a slight curve at the top making it resemble a bottle of coke. It has a pale pink colour at the bottom and some pink flowers and the pink tick at the top. Some extra information is given about the product on the back of the bottle. The top of the bottle forms into a point where there is a pink button with grips on. You need to slide the button and push down. There is no lid with the product. The product will usually cost you around £2 for 250ml of the deodorant but I found it on offer in Tesco for £1. It can be bought from stores such as Boots and Superdrug, larger supermarkets and also from a range of online websites. Application and Performance The button on the product is hard to use and I am still getting used to it. You have to push and slide to make it work but once you've pushed it, it's easy to keep going. The aroma of the product is completely delicious and it is another of the reasons why I chose the product. It is really sweet but it has a lovely warmth to it and it is not unlike a perfume that I would wear. It is evident from the second you spray the deodorant and I really love it. The aroma stays on the skin for a long time after application and you can continue to smell it when you move your arms which I really like. The product comes out as a very powdery mist and it does make me cough and sneeze quite a bit so you need to use it in a well ventilated room. No matter how much I shake the can, it leaves white powder under my arms to the point where bits drop off. The white marks also transfer very easily onto your clothes so you need to take care when dressing so that you don't mark your clothes. It does leave the underarms feeling silky and smooth. As for the important bit, it does stop you sweating well. I sweat a lot and even when working in the temperatures of today, it kept my underarms as dry as possible and smelling really nice. I can't comment about the 48 hours claim because I don't go that long without washing but it does keep working for the whole day. Conclusion All in all, I do really like this deodorant. The aroma of it is so delicious that I would wear it as a perfume and it stops me from sweating too. The product does leave white marks on my skin and clothes, and it makes me cough and sneeze when using it so I'm knocking off a star for this. Other than that, I would happily repurchase the product.
I bought this 250ml Sure Bright deodorant spray when my previous deodorant ran out. I had previously been using Sure Cotton Fresh, which comes in a similar can. ~ Price ~ I am not brand loyal when it comes to deodorant and usually just go for what is on offer. This was on offer when I purchased it in Superdrug for £1.63 reduced from its usual price of £3.26. It can also be purchased at Boots as well as most supermarkets and chemists. I think £3.26 is quite expensive for a deodorant, although it does last me a few months.# ~ Packaging ~ It is quite a large can containing 250ml. I don't imagine it would fit in many women's handbags, but my handbag is huge so it fit in mine no problem. It comes in a white aerosol can with a pink pattern wrapped around it and the Sure 'tick' logo in pink. The button to spray the deodorant is large and pink and it has a rubbery feel. The spray is released when you push the button. The back of the can says that this 'combines antiperspirant protection from Sure with an extra-ordinary fragrance with the scents of flowers and apricot.' It also claims that it gives long lasting protection, is an incredible fragrance, is alcohol free and has been dermatologically tested. ~ Use ~ The Sure Cotton Fresh deodorant I had previously used was very effective, more so than other brands I had used, but I found it was choking and I didn't enjoy using it for this reason. I didn't expect the results to be too different with this Sure Bright deodorant, but I bought it anyway because the Sure Cotton Fresh deodorant was the most effective deodorant I had used and I didn't expect this to be much worse. I was impressed to find that this deodorant isn't choking at all and it is just as effective as the Cotton Fresh version and leaves me feeling fresh all day! The can advises you to shake well before use and hold the can 15cm from your underarm. It has a light, floral scent which is pleasant. I am not a fan of apricot, but can't detect it in this fragrance. I have found this anti-perspirant a lot more effective than others I have used such as Dove, Nivea and Right Guard for women. It does not leave white marks on my clothes (even when I sprayed it directly onto my black top for the purposes of this review) and I have found that it does last a lot longer than other anti-perspirants and does not usually need reapplying during my 8 hour working day, which I haven't found with any other deodorant. I am really impressed with how long this keeps me feeling fresh compared with other deodorants. Even if they were on offer I would be reluctant to buy another brand of deodorant again. It is worth paying £3.26 to stay feeling fresh all day rather than your deodorant wearing off half way through the day. ~ Overall ~ Overall I do think this is a really good deodorant - the most long-lasting I have used. I have found Sure's deodorant's to be head and shoulders above what other brands are offering. The scent is fresh, floral and pleasant. Usually £3.26 would be more than I'd feel happy to pay for a deodorant, but since this is the only one I have found that lasts all day I would be happy to pay £3.26 for it. I will stock up next time I see it on offer.
WHAT IS IT? An aerosol deodorant from Sure. It is one of their fragrance collection and it is the Sure that is packaged in a pink tin. IS IT EFFECTIVE? This is a very good deodorant because it is also an anti perspirant and that keeps me dry as well as stopping me from smelling. I spray it on after I have had a bath in the morning and I do not sweat all day even if I have been very busy with a lot of rushing around. WHAT I THINK I use a lot of different deodorants because they all work for me but I like very much the fresh smell of this one because it is powdery like baby powder but smells grown up also. It has got a very feminine fragrance that I like but it is not strong so if I wear perfume it does not take away from the smell of my perfume. I like also that when I move my arms the fragrance builds up again so I can keep this clean smell on my body for a long time. This does not leave white marks on my clothes and dries as soon as I have sprayed it on. I usually wear tight clothes on my top half so I am glad that the Sure deodorant does not leave any marks on the fabric because that ruins clothes and looks very bad when it happens and somebody notices. When I spray it on it feels gentle on my skin and I have never been sore or anything in this area when I use Sure because it is kind to my skin. I have an active job because I am a beautician so I am standing or walking for a long time in the day but I never sweat at all when I use this deodorant, I always stay smelling fresh and clean also even if I have done more activities than usual. Sure say on the tin that it will work for 48 hours but I do not know about this because that is a long time to go without washing my body and I do not think I could stand to do that. I usually wear my deodorant for about 10 hours and it is still working then. ANYTHING ELSE A 250ml tin of Sure Fragrance Collection costs about £2 but it is very often on price promotion where it is usually half of the price. 5 Dooyoo Stars.
Being a woman we all can go through tons of anti-perspirant in our life time (not good for the environment I know!) so whenever I see them on offer in Superdrug I am always quick to take advantage of the offer. I bought this one some time ago and a 250ml canister costs about £1.50. The design of the can is quite attractive as it comes in a simple white canister. It has the distinct Sure logo and has a brilliant "slide to unlock" feature so you can turn it to reveal the nozzle and spray the deodorant, then swivel back. I can often find that lids of these fall off so it is quite a good feature to have and I know that in my bag this won't be spraying itself out and about! The spray is easy to use, hold about 15cm away from the underarm (careful not to use immediately after shaving!) and spray onto skin. I find it comes out in an ample amount so I do not need to spray excessively, just a little squirt is enough to do the job and it settles instantly so I don't have to wait about flapping my arms like a chicken for it to dry! I find I can get dressed and it doesn't leave any white stains/streaks on my clothes which is a result! As an anti-perspirant/deodorant this is is a good product as it leaves me feeling refreshed and dry. Even on my active days when I am up and down this prevents me getting all hot and sticky and gives me good protection and peace of mind. It is advertised (as most are these days!) to give 48 hour protection but for this I cannot agree as I am yet to go 48 hours without washing and only using this spray as a deterrent from an awful BO smell haha! The best thing about this is that the smell is lovely and is really subtle and fruity. It is advertised as "jasmine and rich rose, coated with juicy apricot and warm vanilla" and it combines for a really unique light smell but I can mostly pick out the rose and vanilla. It is quite reminiscient of a body spray and can be overpowering but I find that after a few seconds it really dies down, and I can spray my perfume and it doesn't conflict to be too suffocating. Overall I would definitely recommend this anti-perspirant deodorant from Sure and it is available from lead chemists/supermarkets.
While lurking in Tesco last week I decided to pick up a new can of deodorant. I had been dabbling in roll on deodorants prior to this but was fed up of waiting for my under arms to dry each morning. A girl has more important things to do each morning than flapping her under arms for 5 minutes. The deodorant I popped in my basket was Sure Woman 'Bright' this one jumped at me from the shelf as the can is an attractive shade of pink with a band of pink and purple leaves on the front and the regulation Sure tick, It was also a £1. For my £1 I get a 150ml can and I am promised long lasting protection with a scent of flowers and apricot and that this anti-perspirant offers 48hr protection (The only time I will test the 48 hour protection theory is during the Zombie Apocalypse). The back of the can tells me the deodorant is alcohol free and dermatologically tested. The can also contains the usual health and safety warnings that should be followed at all times. To use the deodorant is simplicity itself, just direct the can under your arms and press down on the spray button to release a cold jet of micro fine deodorant particles. The deodorant sits comfortably on my skin leaving my under arms nice and dry so I am able to dress immediately. The scent is very floral and sweet when first sprayed, I can detect a slight hint of apricot now that I know it is in the scent. Within a few minutes of applying the deodorant the scent has settled down to a comfortable powdery sweet smell which I find suitable for wearing with perfumes or scented body sprays. Sure anti-perspirant works very well and it kept me fresh and sweat free while I cleaned the house this morning, which is all I ask of a deodorant. Overall I find Sure 'Bright' to be a pleasant enough deodorant, it smells nice and keeps my under arms dry and fresh between showers and for a £1 you can't go wrong. Thank you for reading.
How often do you buy something just because the packaging looks nice? I know it's a bit sad but the packaging is for me a big part of the purchase and so it was when I saw Sure for Women, Bright, sitting on the shelf all pink and white with flowers as well, even the Sure "tick" was pink. The aerosol can did look lovely and seemed to be also a bit of a body scent spray promising not only long lasting protection (48hours active), but also to be part of their fragrance collection with scents of flowers and apricot, sounded nice to me. Into the basket it went. The canister itself, besides the lovely colouring, is slightly shaped to fit easily in the hand with a pink button on the top which you depress to access the spray. On the reverse is a bit of advertising blurb saying " No matter what you dare to do, Sure won't let you down" How do they know what I get up to? Anyway it is long lasting and alcohol free and also dermatologically tested and promises to have an incredible fragrance too. To unlock the spray you have to push forward with your thumb which I did with no trouble at all, there is a little diagram indicating how to do this on the back of the canister. You're also told to give it a good shake before use and to press down firmly on first use. They also suggest that you hold the can about 15 cms from under your arm and then spray. There is also a list of ingredients and some quite scary warnings for one such as me who has used roll ons almost exclusively for many years. Do not inhale, use in short bursts, Use in well ventilates areas, Keep away from children, don't spray in your face and in capitals PRESSURISED CONTAINER. Do not expose to temperatures of over 50c . Do not pierce or burn even after use. Extremely flammable, don't smoke when using or shortly after. Goodness! it's more a weapon of mass destruction than an anti-perspirant! Flower Power, my opinion. Scary warnings apart after a good shake and dousing all naked flames I indulge in a short spray under my arms. The spray as normal feels a little cold and the perfume is quite feminine, a powdery scent but flowery too with a bit of vanilla in it. At first I couldn't make up my mind if I liked it or not I think that it is a bit too sweet for me but I have grown to like it after using it a while. As an anti-perspirant I found it to be very effective. It dries very quickly and has not left any marks on my clothes. The fragrance holds for a few hours and I have enjoyed it as a change, it is much more feminine than my Dove roll-on.I have to admit that I shall return to roll-ons after this as I like a protection that I can take any where, on a plane as hand luggage, or not worry if I have left it in the car on a scorching hot Spanish Summer day. If you would like to try this feminine and effective aerosol anti- perspirant I believe it is on half price sale in Morrisons at the moment, I paid around 1.50pounds for mine which is the 150ml size. I believe ther is a bigger 250ml size as well. 3 out of 5 stars from me. Thanks for reading my review, I also post on Ciao under splishsplash.
Sure Bright-Anti Perspirant. I was attracted to the pretty container when I bought my first Sure product, and am now on my second can. Previously I had always used a roll-on type deodorant and must admit that when I first used my Sure bright, with scents of flowers and apricot it was something of a shock to my system! Maybe because it was a cold morning, I don't know, but spraying your underarm area after a lovely warm bath with what seems like an evil form of icy cold torture, takes some getting used to, and it simply took my breath away at first. Now however, I am becoming hardened to it and I am a reformed character as far as anti-perspirants go. I simply love the scent which lingers for a long time after I have applied it, and somehow it seems to blend in with the perfume I wear, and there is no clash of fragrances. I love the scent of Sure Bright with scents of flowers and apricot so much, that I often spray a little in the bathroom or the washroom at work when I leave, and people often comment and say "What's that delightful smell?" It lingers for several hours after spraying just a little. Beautiful!
I find that Sure roll ons work the best for me but I like to alternate between these and sprays so when I saw Bright and read the blurb on the back it really appealed and I thought it sounded beautiful,as far as deodorant sprays go of course. Bright prides itself on containing "a soft layering of white flowers including jasmine, and rich rose, coated with juicy apricot and warm vanilla" and comes presented in a slimline upright standing aerosol can. The colouring is instantly seducing with predominantly a pink hue on a white background and the whole appearance just being very 'feminine' in soft shades of pink and white. The can itself holds 250ml of anti perspirant and apart from it being slimline it also veers in slightly towards the neck giving a womanly 'hour glass' shape which makes it easier to grip when applying to the underarm area. There is a slanted integrated nozzle at the top with a large button for pressing and once pressed the aerosol emits from an opening at the tilted side of the lid in a fast and furious manner. I purchased this product from my local Superdrug store where they recently had a sale on a lot of their toiletries which were less than half price and this 250ml can just 99 pence. I definitely recommend it!
I bought this recently after going out to buy some deoderant, I usually buy Nivea but that was over £2 for a small bottle whilst the big bottles of sure were half price at £1.98 and this included the new fragranced range. I chose the one called 'bright' simply because it was pink and looked, look pretty and stood the most, whilst waiting at the counter to pay I read the back and saw it had warm vanilla scents in it among other things, and I assumed I would like it. It sprays out really easily from a little button on the top that you slide forwards to unlock and then press down to disperse the spray. It comes out really pressurised and fast so you only need a very short burst to get a good amount on you. It dried immediatly on my skin and didnt leave my underarms feeling wet which is what you want from a deoderant really. I will say though that if you dont give it a really good shake beforehand you'll end up with a bright white spray going all over you. This deodorant keeps my dry throughout the day and smelling clean and fresh, and I dont really need to re-apply it at all either unless I am doing anything that particularly works up a sweat. It definitely lasts me throughout a day at work though when I apply it in a morning. The only thing I dont like about this deoderant is the scent, it smells quite strong and almost as though I have got body spray on. The scent is meant to include iasmine, rose, apricot and warm vanilla - i cant smell vanilla at all, and it smells just like a chemical flower smell to me, which I really dont like, I hate being able to smell this on myself and my clothes. Though I dont really understand why I thought a deodorant from the 'fragrance' range would be a good idea as I like my deoderants to just smell clean and suble,a bit like soap. Overall I would recommend this as a good deoderant in terms of keeping you dry and smelling fresh, however the scent is not for me.
This product comes in varying sizes, usually the larger one is more value for money, but then you have to spend more on it in the first place, so that's just a judgement call depending on how much money you have in your purse at the time! I personally do buy the larger one because I find it lasts me absolutely ages - obviously depending on how much you spray at a time, and how often you do it a day - but I've had my current one for a couple of months and it's only just starting to run out and I spray it quite a lot. The design of the can is quite attractive, not just straight up and down and the colours all suggest femininity and are complimentary meaning that it doesn't look horrible on your bathroom shelf. It also has a nifty "slide to unlock" feature so if you put it in a bag it's not going to spray all over itself and you can't lose the lid (which I am prone to doing) as it doesn't have one. The scent of this deodorant is not over powering at all, you can tell that you've sprayed it as there's a vague hint of it, but it's not going to choke anyone, which is always good news. I have also found this to be the only anti-perspirant so far that has lasted all day! This even includes days where I go to the gym and have forgotten to bring my spray with me (don't judge me!). This is really all you need a deodorant for, to stop you smelling, and my old deodorants have needed a respray halfway through the day which can get a little awkward when you're in a crowd of people... It is quite expensive however compared to some brands and to supermarket brand deodorants at around £4 each time. I have decided this price is worth it though due to the longevity of the scent and how long the cans last at a time.
I normally stay loyal to Nivea anti-perspirants however I do like to use different products if they catch my eye. This was the case with this Sure anti-perspirant. It caught my eye whilst doing my weekly food shopping in my local Sainsbury's supermarket. It was then advertised as half prices and I liked brightly coloured can and since it was on offer I put it in my basket with very little hesitation. This anti-perspirant is from Sure Fragrance Collection which comes in the aerosol can. Bottom of the can is pink in colour and also has lovely pink flowers on it. I thought it is very eye catching and very girly looking. Can doesn't have a lid but instead it has integrated button, also pink in colour to match the design. I actually prefer this as I tend to have in my bag which always results in lid getting loose in my bag. To use this anti-perspirant, you should shake the can well and hold few inches away from underarm and spray by pushing down the button. This antiperspirant should only be used for the underarms. Anti-perspirant has the scent of flowers and apricots. I was not sure if I am going to like it but was pleasantly surprised by it. It smells lovely, fresh and clean. I use it few times a day I must say even though it is advertised as 48 hour protection, this actually doesn't deliver this but I do not think any anti-perspirant would. I don't mind to re-apply in the day anyway just to refresh myself and I especially love using it right after the shower. I normally put my clothes on before I apply it may leave some white marks, I have noticed white marks when I sprayed it on the other day but I this was whilst I was applying it when wearing black sleeveless top and bit of a spray went onto the fabric. I have just rubbed it off with no problem. I think it may depend on how much I use, the other day I didn't apply as much and I was left with no white marks. In terms of protection, it really didn't let me down. I do not sweat a lot but it provides enough protection for me and although I do not think it would last for 48 hours as advertised, it keeps me from sweating and in addition, it smells gorgeous. Yes, I do re-apply during the day but this is not because I have to. I actually do this with any anti-perspirant as it makes me feel refreshed especially on very warm humid day, it gets really really hot in our office which doesn't have air con. Sure anti-perspirants come in many varieties and can be purchased from any major supermarkets and chemists. Also worth mentioning is that this anti-perspirant contains 0% alcohol and is dermatologically tested. I have used it on freshly shaved underarms without having any stinging sensation afterwards or rash but I do not suffer from sensitive skin. I would not pay full price for it as there are always offers available; I have purchased my third can of Sure Bright Fragrance Collection today from Boots which currently sells it half price for £1.64. This is for the bit 250ml can. There is also smaller version available which I also used before; this is perfect for the hand bag to use on the go. I will continue using this product until something different catches my eye in the shops.
When it comes to deodorants I'm far from brand loyal though I profess to sticking to either Sure or Dove, mainly as they rarely let me down and I know that the majority of different products in their ranges work for me. A few weeks ago I spotted 'Bright' which is part of the Sure Women Fragrance Collection and apart from the attractive packaging was the equally attractive price that came with it - £99p..too good not to try at least at less than £1. I find that Sure roll on deodorants work the best for me but I like to alternate between these and sprays so when I saw Bright and read the blurb on the back it really appealed and I thought it sounded beautiful..as far as deodorant sprays go of course. Bright prides itself on containing '..a soft layering of white flowers including jasmine, and rich rose, coated with juicy apricot and warm vanilla.." and comes presented in a slimline upright standing aerosol can. I purchased this product from my local Superdrug store where they recently had a sale on a lot of their toiletries which were less than half price and this 250ml can was as mentioned just 99p with a normal RRP of £2.09. Bright contains 0% alcohol and offers 48 hour protection once applied with 'incredible fragrance'. It is also dermatologically tested and certainly ticks all of the right boxes..but is it any good? **My experience** I don't drive so walk quite a lot of miles on a daily basis, particularly during the school terms when I do repeated walks back and forth to drop/ pick up my two sons. We live about a 25 minute walk away from school so an effective and good quality deodorant is essential for keeping me dry and smelling sweet. I've tried many different brands of deodorants over the years but Sure is my fail safe and I know that it 'wont let me down' just as it's blurb often tells us. I am a fan of the Sure Cotton Fresh anti-perspirant and was going to buy it until I saw that the deodorants in the Fragrance Collection were all under £1 and never one to turn down a bargain I decided to at least try it. The deodorant emits at quite a rapid pace once the button is pressed and comes out in a flurry of white, which I have to say didn't impress me as I assumed it would just leave white marks all over my clothes. I found that two or three quick sharp sprays under each arm seemed enough to cover the area and I was pleased that the deodorant was a dry one and didn't leave my under arm area feeling wet. Bright applied very easily and didn't leave any white chalky residue once applied which was a relief as I presumed because of the colour when sprayed it would. My underarms felt silky smooth and velvety as though talcum powder had been applied and I was pleased with the whole application process. The fragrance is simply stunning as far as deodorants go and smells more like a premium body spray than simply an anti-perspirant so it certainly wins points with it's floral aroma. There is a strong overtone of Rose and Jasmine with an injection of warmth from the Apricot and Vanilla, and having been torn between choosing 'Bright' or 'Radiant' (Peach & Wild Raspberry)- the other in the Fragrance Collection which was also on offer - I think I definitely made the right choice as the fragrance is similar to what I would choose in a perfume or body spray. **Results** I was really impressed with the fragrance of Bright but sadly found it's anti-perspirant qualities were certainly lacking. Having applied the deodorant as per usual in the morning I proceeded to walk to and forth from school. I purchased this just before the school holidays began and the weather was very average and more on the cooler and damp side so it certainly wasn't put to test in red hot heat. On arriving at school I was aware of the pretty fragrance but my underarms felt tacky and by the time I arrived home I found that the deodorant wasn't working as well as it should. If it cant handle a gentle walk on the school run how would it fare if using for intensive exercise? I'm not a sweaty person at all but was disappointed that a simple 25 minute walk in drizzly weather caused such a malfunction in a product that is supposed to last 48 hours. As I don't go that long between washing I cannot comment but it's fair to say it didn't last more than 2 hours for me so I dread to think of the results after 2 days of constant wear! I changed my top on my arrival home and as it was dark was dismayed to find it was covered in white marks so it instantly lost points again for this. I really love the fragrance of this product but I have found it to let me down on each occasion I have used it which is a big disappointment as Sure rarely does this with me. I have used the remainder of the can up but from now will stick to my usual Sure Cotton Fresh from now on.
