      not that icy

I don’t tend to remain brand loyal when it comes to anti-perspirants and this was one I grabbed when I was in a bit of a hurry when shopping. They are now in a compressed form in order to reduce packaging etc. The can I bought is 75ml for £1.30 the tin claims that this is the equivalent to the older 130ml non-compressed size can.

The can comes with a twist lock thing below the spray mechanism which can be used to lock the can so if traveling it can’t be sprayed by accident. To start with even with this in the unlocked position it was hard to get it to spray as the button seal was a little hard to break but this is now much easier to depress.

The writing on the back is quite small and black on grey is not the easiest thing to read. If this had been printed along the length of the can rather than the width (if that makes sense) then this could have been a bit larger and the lack of any curvature along each line would have made it easier to read.

The jet does cover a reasonable area of my arm pit and a quick squirt is all that is needed. There is a slight cooling effect as it goes on but it isn’t too uncomfortable although those with sensitive skin my notice it more. I find it to be quick drying which is a major plus if I am in a hurry.

The scent isn’t too bad and it not overpowering. It is more of a clean soap like smell rather than overly scented. I find that the scent does not linger too long which can be a drawback for some. As for its performance well it does cope well with preventing underarm sweat and prevents odour during the time I am at work. As for the 48 hour claim I am dubious about this but as I don’t tend to go 48 hrs without washing or showering I can’t confirm or deny this. Unlike some anti-perspirants there is no sticky feeling under my arms when I have used it. The product has not left any white or yellow marks on my clothes which is a big plus.

In the ingredients there are no parabens which is a major bonus but it does contain Aluminium compounds which I know will be a major disadvantage to some.

      Disadvantages

      Perfect for every day use!

Over the years I have gone through many various anti-perspirants, and although most work to some degree for sweat protection, my major issue has always been with white marks, and residue on your skin after application.

This is where Sure Invisible Ice excells! It leaves almost no visible marks, and has definitely reduced staining on my tops.

On top of this, Invisible Ice lasts for ages, I generally only apply it once, in the morning and that lasts all day. The smell isnt going to win awards, but it is fresh and subtle, and certainly not overpowering. For me that is all I am after in a male deoderants perfume.

You may not think that much about what you spray under your arms, but if you want a product that is effective, smells nice, and leaves very little white marks on you or your clothes, then I cant recommend any other spray than Invisible Ice.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

For everyday use this is really the best option

Without getting to excited about a deodorant I'm pretty sure I will never use any other anti-perspirant or deodorant than this, unless it's for an extra special occasion. I am an incredibly active person who really does appreciate both the strength and the finesse of this product. Not only this but the fact that it is invisible is possibly my favourite thing. Other brands normally leave white marks on your armpits but this does not. Meaning I can wear any top or shirt without having to worry about either white marks or sweating. I mean what else could you possibly ask for from a deodorant.

I cannot write this review without mentioning the smell, it is refreshing, possibly not the greatest smelling deodorant of all time, but after all it is for every day use. It smells fresh and honestly does keep my armpit dry for 24 hours. I apply in the morning and the next morning I am still dry and need to wash it off as I shower.

The only downfall really is that it can get a little sticky when first applied if not dry enough after a shower, but that is a price I will pay for the comfort and security of knowing I will not sweat or smell for 24-48hours if need be. Perfect for your every day use.

My Other Half was using the Lynx deodorants for years but the price was going up and up and the size of the can was staying the same so I suggested he try another make. He works long hours, is out of the house for 14 hours when working, so needs a deodorant that will last all day long without having to re-apply. Also in the summer months the antiperspirant part of it needs to work well too to save those embarrassing wet arm pits on his shirts.

I was using the Sure for women deodorants so I suggested he try one of these for men. He was a bi sceptical at first about trying it but decided to take the plunge and go for it on a day when he wasn't at work to see how it worked.

We decided to buy the Sure for Men Invisible Ice variety as it said it contained no alcohol and it wouldn't mark his shirts.

The can comes in two sizes, a large can which is 250 ml and currently selling in Boots for £2.50 and a smaller can which holds 150 ml and this is currently selling for £1.99 also on Boots. You can often find them on special offer though if you look about, we bought our last one from Wilkinson and it was only £1.99 for the big can.

The can is a bluey colour which goes well with the Ice of the brand name. The spray has a slide switch on the back which you move over to let the spray out. When it is locked the plunger wont press down at all. The spray comes out nicely and goes where you want it to go as long as you are spraying in the right direction that is. It feels cold to the skin (I have borrowed it when mine has run out) but it is not an unpleasant feeling and if you have shaved it doesn't sting (more for the ladies borrowing them than the men using them).

The smell is really nice, it is a good clean smell, not overpowering, and it doesn't affect the smell of an aftershave or an eau de toilette as after a few minutes of having it on you can't really smell it that much.

It does work for the whole day, which is excellent for a men's deodorant, my Other Half comes home from work in the evenings smelling as sweet as he did when he went out in the morning.

I would recommend this spray to anyone looking for a decent deodorant that lasts all day.
