Introduction: I have never been very brand loyal when it comes to antiperspirant, some times I find a really good one and sometimes I find ones which work terribly. Thankfully sure for men quantum was one of the good ones I have tried! I was intrigued to try this one out as I found the can very appealing and manly, it is matt grey in the majority and looked nice. I have tried other sure for men antiperspirants in the past, but never actually tried quantum. I am glad I did as this is one of the best I have ever had. I will now go into more detail on this product and tell you why I recommend this. Price: I got this on a 2 for £3 offer. They usually range anywhere for, £2 to £3.50 each depending on where you shop. I usually purchase mine from tesco in my weekly shop. This is good value compared to some of the other antiperspirants on the shelf such as lynx. These are competitively priced and almost always on some form of offer in most places I go. You get 250ml of antiperspirant in each can which can last you a long time. Does it work?: This is meant to be a 24h plus antiperspirant, and I have to say it does work for some hours. The can is very easy to use with a plastic top which you press down on. My top tip for this is shake the can before use, if you do not shake then it will become very powdery on your underarms and body and this then can become sticky, you must also hold the can 15cm away from your underarms as this can lead to similar problems. After shaking and spraying you are hit with a very fresh and manly scent, its very nice and fresher than others in have tried, other antiperspirants can give off a very fake and horrible smell, this is very fresh and calm. I apply this in the morning and I don't have to worry at all about sweat all day, it covers up any body odour and I would say works all day, maybe not 24hours though. Overall: I would recommend that you try this, you will like the smell and also the fact that you feel protected all day. It actually works unlike products such as lynx which never really last long. The bottle is stylish and the overall Branding is manly so it's a good experience all round. This is good for all ages of boys to men and I would like to give this a 5 star rating, nothing to really say bad about this. Thanks for reading. I hope this helped you out. Josh - jlaker1992
I like any other boy used to cover myself in Lynx body spray in a vain attempt to cover the smell of my own hormones! Thankfully as I aged I began to discover other brands of anti-perspirant. Unfortunately I also discover that the majority of them did not work and only served to take my money and not my smell! Enter Sure for Men. Sure is a well-established cosmetics brand which traditionally centred on the female market. Over the last number of years they have rebranded their male division to compete with Nivea and L'Oreal. The flagship of their male range is their '24hr Anti-Perspirant'. A wide range of scents exist and all come in the same ~20cm tall cylindrical can. I'm not sure how the name Quantum links either to the smell or the colour so I tend to remember it as the green one. The smell is quite pleasant and not overpowering, merely serving as a nice whiff of smell should you raise your arm for a question in class. Standard deoderant rules apply to the Sure range as well, keeping the can back far enough to ensure you don't irritate the skin. Fortunately Sure for Men seems to be immune from the white mark generating mess that seems to strike quite a few men's fragrances. I have applied Sure for Men with several different colour t-shirts and formal shirts and haven't noticed any extraneous marks on the fabric. If your skin is especially sensitive you may find Sure irritating if you re-apply throughout the day. If this is the case you can use their sensitive range which seems to reduce this problem. Sure claims a huge number of things about their deoderant, namely that it works for 24 hours and that it works up to 58 degrees. Now I will be honest and say that I am not usually in 58 degree heat but I have yet to see Sure break down in Yorkshire seasonable warmth. As for the 24 hour claim, I would agree. I have applied Sure following my morning shower and could still smell it the following morning. I wouldn't advise relying on this effect but it is nice to know. Overall a good old smell and beats Lynx any day
Sure for Men Quantum is the choice of Deodorant & Anti-personnel that I have been using for the past few years now. I used to use Lynx and other brands, but I got fed up of some of there "scents" and the price of them going up. I switched to Sure as my Dad had used it and seemed to have no complaints. The can is 21cm tall with a plastic spray nozzle on top. It is green, black and grey in colour, which looks quite "manly" and appealing. On the front it says Sure Men and if you spin the can round you can find all the usual details on the rear. One very useful feature of the can design is that the spray nozzle can be locked by a small flick switch. This stops it from being accidentally sprayed whilst in bags. On the rear, the following claims are made: "Proven to work at 58oC", "1 million molecules of protection" and "Unbeatable wetness protection". To apply it, you are meant to hold it about 15cm away from your underarm, however I usually hold it a little closer so it is a bit more direct. The deodorant comes out of the can in a fine stream which does not disperse too much. Each can holds 250ml of deodorant, which usually lasts me around a month. If I apply it in the morning, it will usually last all day and stops any sweat patches occurring. On hot days I have found that it doesn't work as well as it states, but it makes sweat patches less visible compared to if I did not have any on at all. As it claims to be a deodorant, I would expect it to have a reasonably noticeable scent, however it has a very subtle scent that is actually quite nice and not overpowering. As an antiperspirant it works very well in most temperatures and it rarely leaves white marks on clothes, however if you want a strong smelling deodorant then it is not that. Overall, this is a great product for men as it helps to keep you smelling and feeling fresh all day long. Generally one application is enough, however, if you perspire heavily then another spray during the day maybe needed. The only downside to Sure is the cost. Each can will cost about £2.50 from a supermarket, which compared to some of the other brands available is quite expensive. Despite this, I think it is well worth the money as it provides great cover through-out the day and it lasts for a reasonable amount of time. I'll give it a 4/5 as the cost is quite a lot but it does pretty much what it says on the can. This review may also be found on Ciao under the same username.
