Advantages: ermmm....on offer?
Disadvantages: Makes you choke putting it on, doesn't work well
I am not particularly loyal to any one brand when it comes to buying deodorants and will usually just buy whichever looks good and is on offer at that particular time. Despite this I do look out for some names more than others and sure is one of those because I think it is generally a brand which can be trusted. One of my latest deodorant purchases was the sure women pure with natural mineral which claims to give 48 hour protection.
From memory I probably picked this item up from superdrug on a shopping trip where it cost around one pound and fifty pence on special offer. Having looked on their website I can advise that they seem to have this same promotion running again for anyone who may be interested after reading this review.
The deodorant comes in a spray bottle which is predominantly green with some white and pink on there too. The bottle has a curved shape to it and the top of the bottle is actually exposed rather than covered by a lid and has a funky looking button to move which allows you to spray or lock the spray. The bottle looks quite trendy as a result of this and it is not something that I would be embarrassed to pull out of my bag to use.
The packaging claims that the deodorant features a motionsense system which basically senses when you move around and then activates little microcapsules on your skin giving you bursts of freshness throughout the day. It uses natural minerals but has a slight orange blossom fragrance which doesn't really stand out in all honesty and apparently allows your skin to breathe. So all in all the deodorant sounds good and something that will be worth using right? Well my experience was that it wasn't as wonderful as it sounds!
Using the deodorant is easy as you just push the button downwards and spray it on your underarm from around 15 centimetres distance. What I noticed initially about the spray was that despite its claims of being natural the spray actually made me cough and splutter during each application which isn't ideal obviously. I also noticed that throughout the days where it was particularly warm I was not feeling as clean and sweat free as I would have hoped from a product such as this. This was a real disappointment to me because in the past I have had positive experiences with sure products but this wasn't the same at all. The scent would perhaps linger for a couple of hours but I would feel sweaty in this time and feel the need to reapply a lot.
Sadly I just didn't rate this product at all and there is no way that it would give you 48 hour protection should anyone want to try that out! I will definitely not be buying this particular deodorant again that is for sure! Should you be interested in this product it is available to buy from supermarkets and large chemists such as boots or superdrug.
Thank you for reading my review!
