I must have tried every anti-persperant and deoderant on the market. I've had sprays, roll ons, creams, any new one that I see, and even used Mitcham for a short while. Being female, I feel the need to shave under my ams but when I do, it makes me sweaty for some reason, usually fo a couple of days, hence the reason ive tried so many deoderants. I've had this sure roll on fast drying in cool blue on my windowsill for a good few days before trying as I assumed it would be like all the rest, not much good. Showered this morning and applied product. At first it felt wet and sticky and I thought great, ill be wiping this off soon. Then as if by magic, it started to dry. No more stickyness, it dried with like a thiin film coating under my arms that I couldnt feel at all. 5 hours later and im still bone dry! Smooth underarms with a nice fresh odour, I think this one might actually do whast it says on the tin! I will definatly be buying this one again, its been the best one and believe me, ive tried them all. As for the 48hr part, its looking promising. If this one cant do it, nothing can. Its feminine but strong a perfect combination. Although the bottle is small, I can see it lasting a good while. I am so pleased that Ii picked ths up at the supermarket. If it hadnt of been on offer I most pobably wouldnt of grabbed it thinking Id tried the sure range before. Just because the spray didnt do it for me, im glad II tried the roll on as its perfect.
I bought this product because it was on offer and claimed to be 'fast drying'. I don't think it's particularly fast drying compared to other deodorants, but it had a really nice 'clean' smell to it. Sadly the 48 hour claim is over exaggerated. It worked for a few hours, but after 10 hours doing a bit of walking (but mostly spent sat down in temperature controlled rooms) I felt damp under the arms. So if you notice that you may sweat often, or perhaps just a little more than normal, this is not the product for you! No marks is always important to me in an antiperspirant product and, to be fair, I didn't notice any after using this product (I mainly wear dark colours so it is easy to tell if a product has left white marks). Unfortunately, whenever I applied it under my arms it left me with a burning like sensation for five to ten minutes. I checked my skin and there was no breaking or irritation pre-application. I have used many brands and types of deodorants and antiperspirants, but never had this problem before so I continued to use the product. However, the stinging feeling whenever it is applied persisted (regardless of when I shaved, or when I used it). I would class my skin as a little sensitive, and so I would warn anyone with sensitive skin against buying this product just in case you have the same reaction.
I have never really got on too well with many deodorants; I just can't seem to find one that has all the qualities I want in one deodorant. I like to 1) not smell all day - obviously 2) not have big streaky white marks on all my clothing - I wear a lot of black so this is a big problem for me 3) not have to wait hours for it to dry and 4) not have pain applying it if I've just shaved my armpits. I always find one that's fantastic on one or two of these, but not on the rest. This means I try out a lot of different deodorants because I never find one I like enough. I recently purchased this 'Cool Blue Fast Drying 48 hour anti-perspirant' from Sure Women. It was on sale in Boots for £1 and I liked the 'fast drying' and '48 hour' qualities listed on the front. It's a roll-on because in the past I haven't had much luck with sprays (although I did quite like solid deodorant). So let's see how it meets my 4 must-haves in a deodorant: 1) No smell - in this respect it does very well. I wear this and do not have to reapply all day even if I go to the gym. I haven't worn it for 48 hours, but sometimes on the weekend if I have a lie-in it is approaching that amount of time and I still smell fine as far as I can tell. That's pretty good and meets my standard for this criteria! The deodorant itself doesn't smell very strongly of anything, so if your'e looking for a nice fragrance, this probably isn't it. 2) No white marks - this deodorant is better than some for white marks, but not perfect. Even the 'white mark protection' deodorants aren't perfect and it's probably no worse than them. It's annoying, but I haven't actually found one that's any better. Doesn't really meet my criteria, but until I find one that does, it'll do! I haven't worn it with any white t-shirts so I can't comment on the 'yellow stain' problem that a lot of people have with deodorant. 3) Fast-drying - this is one of the main claims on the bottle so you would expect it to dry fast and it does. I can put clothes on less than a minute after I apply this which is good if I'm in a rush. I've noticed some other deodorants despite being 'dry' are still always a little tacky or moist, but this is completely dry as if it wasn't there. Check! 4) No pain - DEFINITELY NOT! I shave my arm-pits almost every day as I usually wear strappy vest tops. If I have shaved before I apply this it burns and it burns a lot. I've found this with a lot of fast-drying anti-perspirants that contain alcohol and it's certainly not a unique problem. If I don't shave on a certain day, then there is absolutely no pain (unless I've cut myself a previous time). It's a shame because it really lets it down. I guess this deodorant is pretty good, despite the white marks and painful application. I will continue to buy it until I see one that appears to meet all of my criteria in one, because it fulfils its main job of keeping me fresh all day. I'm giving it 4/5 because I fear that my standards for deodorants are just too unrealistically high and it's actually pretty good.
I have mentioned in past reviews that I tend to reach for a Roll on Deo and apply it after a shower. I don't know how or why I got into this habit and it's not as if the price of a Roll on is cheaper than a spray. It's just become 1 of those things and a habit that perhaps I should change as I wouldn't think of using a Roll on through the day as just don't think they work quite as well for me for an average day. I picked this 50ml up for £1 and this was a bit cheaper than the usual price which was around £1.60. This is an average price for such a brand. The packaging for this looks average. It isn't that chunky and easy to hold. The lid is easy to unscrew and the ball part is quite large so just a quick slick of this up and down and that will cover the underarm area fine. The scent of this is nice. It is a light fragrance and it is a nice fresh airy scent. I would try and describe the scent of this but it is hard to say exactly what this smells like. There does seem to be a light white floral scent to this but it is just like a cool breeze smell. It states that this has 48 hours protection but I can't say that this is true. I just apply this at night time and in the morning I do still feel fresh and dry but this has only been around 12 hours and I cannot comment for any longer but I don't feel that this would keep me dry for all that lengbt of time. A nice enough scent and it does ok to keep me dry but I've smelt better. I would still buy this again at times for a change.
**I'm reviewing the aloe vera version of this 48h deodorant** This deodorant is by Sure, a brand which I have heard of as my boyfriend uses the man version of Sure spray but I have never personally tried them. Having no particular preference when it comes to deodorant other than it does the job, I picked this one up at my local pharmacy. I was sceptical about the 48h protection promise and would always reapply daily post showering anyway! However, I was pleasantly surprised by this deodorant which I picked up for £1 at a local pharmacy after the other half only bought me body spray in the weekly shop and failed to realise I like a roll on deodorant as well!! --The scent-- The scent is subtle, fresh and clean smelling which I like a lot. I am a fan of aloe vera scents as they are usually quite subtle and clean scented which reminds you of posh handwash! The scent was not too overpowering or too floral which I don't enjoy in scents! --The price-- I found this deodorant an absolute bargain and very good value for money, but of course you can get different brands for similar prices. What I'm saying is that I wouldn't want to pay any more than this for a deodorant stick! --Lasting effect?-- I was uncertain when I first used the stick whether it had worked or not as the scent is very subtle, some may prefer a stronger scent if you have problems controlling perspiration. I don't personally have too much issue with over perspiring and will only reapply more than once a day if I was doing sport or something. However, the stick left a lovely clean, fresh feeling and was not as sticky as some I had previously used so found I could put clothes on straight away without having to wait for it to dry! This is a major advantage of this Sure deodorant stick as I hate having to wait around for too long for a product to dry as I am often in a rush in the morning due to pressing the snooze button too many times! --Different types-- I opened the lids in the shop to have a quick whiff of each one and there are three varieties available from this type of roll on - a floral one with a pink lid (not for me!), the cool blue which appears in this catalogue (a linen like scent) and the aloe vera one which I chose (fresh scented). None of them were overpowering which I quite liked and I would try a different scent in the future as I like to mix it up! Aloe vera is lovely though. --Verdict-- I really liked this deodorant for the following reasons: fresh scent, easy to apply, not sticky at all, value for money. I would definitely buy this again, but wouldn't want to spend more than what I paid for it, so if another brand was on a special offer I would choose that one over Sure. Five stars from me for a top quality, respected brand and great roll on deodorant to keep your underarms feeling fresh!
I use a lot of Sure products and will readily try all of their different products, but have come to find that there is a vast variety in the successfulness of the successes of some of their products. I usually prefer an aerosol to a roll on deodorant but was willing to try this one to go on holiday, making it easy for the plane journey. Appearance and Smell This product does not have anything different about the appearance of the packaging compared to all the other roll on deodorants out there. It is the basic screw top lid, with rolling ball applicator, with the product sitting up on the ball to allow the deodorant to sit on the ball making the rolling and dispatch of the deodorant easy. It has a fresh smell to the deodorant when it is applied and this smell continues throughout the day, as a background hint. Use The deodorant is easily applied to the underarm area, with the ball and packaging shaped to suit the shape of your hand and underarm when you are applying it. I found that the deodorant took a long time to dry before I felt sure I could put my clothing on without getting white marks all over my top. After it had dried I found that it worked ok, keeping me smelling fresh, but did not stop me from sweating and feeling damp under my arms, something you do not particularly when you are out for a meal on holiday. Once I got home I tried it here as well and found the same results with damp marks appearing on my clothes throughout the day. After using this product I began to notice that yellow marks had started to appear on the underarms of my clothes, from when I had been sweating and the deodorant had gone onto my clothes and left a yellow stain. I tried to remove these stains with little effect, and had to replace a few of my clothing items. I would not use this product again because of this, and the dampness it failed to stop throughout the day.
Sure Roll On Deodorant Cool Blue Sure - Cool Blue is a deodorant for women which is manufactured by the Unilever brand. The deodorant is a fast drying anti-perspirant which claims to provide a full 48 hours of protection between applications. Why? Why would I buy a deodorant? Well, that's easy, I want to feel fresh and confident each day, as well as dry in the underarm department and above all I don't want to smell! I chose this roll on deodorant in particular as I have tried many aerosol deodorants in the past and although they always smelt nice and did their job, to a point, I never felt 100% confident using them. I had used roll on deodorants in the past but I remembered I had stopped using them as I hated the 5 minute walk around with my arms in the air while waiting for it to dry, however a couple of years ago I was due to go on holiday with hand luggage only and due to all the liquid restrictions when it comes to flying this meant that I couldn't take my usual aerosol deodorants. After a little trip to Tesco I found this deodorant, Sure 48 hour, fast drying, anti-perspirant deodorant. I chose it mainly because of its claims to be fast drying and long lasting and also because it was on offer at £1 at the time. Ah, and also because at 50ml it is small enough to be taken on board a flight in the little plastic bags which they make you put liquids and gels inside as you go through airport security. How To Use Sure Roll On Deodorant is really easy to use, it comes packaged in a white tube style bottle with a screw cap which doubles as a base for the deodorant to stand on. The label on the front contains the usual branding and claims about how dry and fresh this deodorant will keep you and on the back there is another label which contains a list of ingredients as well as the contact information for Unilever. To use the deodorant you simply need to unscrew the cap which is at the base of the deodorant, you will then see a white roller ball ready to roll onto your arm pit. The first time you use the deodorant you will need to give it a quick roll with your finger first as the ball will be dry. I find that usually rolling the deodorant the length of my armpit back and forth twice in each direction is enough to give an even coating and not make the coating so thick that it would take ages to dry. Which, I will point out, it actually does what it says on the bottle and dries very fast. I would say that in less than 20 seconds I am able to put my clothes on with no worries about getting them wet or marked. How Does It Smell? Sure Roll On Deodorant Cool Blue has a very 'fresh' and I would say clean smell to it. The scent reminds me of fresh laundry which I personally really like. I would say the smell is reasonably strong and you can smell it clearly after application, but I wouldn't say that it is overpowering. I would feel confident to wear this deodorant alone without the added use of perfumes as it smells nice and fresh and as I said, very much like fresh laundry. Do I Smell? Hopefully not! I am pleased to say that after what is now coming up to 2 years of using this deodorant I cannot remember an occasion where I have had that terrible 'omg, I smell' moment and felt the need to keep my arms down and run for the nearest bathroom! Since using this deodorant I have always felt fresh and confident that it is providing a lasting protection. I'm not too sure how accurate the claim of providing 48 hour protection is as I have never tried to go 48 hours without having a shower in the morning and re-applying the deodorant and sorry, but I don't really fancy doing this experiment! For me, this deodorant provides ample protection each day and I am more than pleased with its performance. I have also noticed that even though the bottle doesn't claim to be a 'No White Marks' deodorant, I have never had an issue with white marks while I have been using this, so needless to say I am really satisfied with this fact, especially as I wear a lot of black tops. I have recently been wearing a few blouses and my favourite checked shirts and in the past for some reason wearing these garments always seems to make me feel a little bit more hot and sweaty in the underarm department, however, this time this is not the case as my armpits have remained dry and sweat free. During the summer last year I was lucky enough to be in the heat of around 37 degrees and in this heat I think there is no alternative to give in and become a sweaty mess, even this deodorant couldn't keep me dry in that heat, however, even though the dryness was gone and I was yucky and sweaty, I remember noticing that I didn't actually smell of that horrible sweat smell, but instead I could smell the scent of the deodorant a lot more strongly which I remember feeling rather relieved about. During this heat I did find myself re-applying the deodorant throughout the day, I'm not sure if I actually 'needed' to, but it made me feel better and fresher so I did! Price For a 50ml bottle of Sure Cool Blue I paid £1 from Tesco, this was my bargain price as it was on offer, the usual price for this deodorant is £1.70 in Tesco. I think this is very reasonable price for a deodorant that actually does what it claims to. The 50ml bottle usually lasts me around 2 months so for great underarm protection I am paying less than £1 per month! Bargain! Tesco often have the range of Sure deodorants on offer so if you can get it then you will be getting even more of a bargain! Would I Recommend? Yes, I would recommend Sure Cool Blue Roll On deodorant. I have been using it for almost 2 years now and I have never looked back. I have always felt fresh and clean and my clothes have never had issues with white marks or any other marks which you may sometimes get in the underarm areas of clothes. At a bargain price I really cannot fault this deodorant and I will be continuing to use it for a long time to come. Thanks for reading :)
When I buy an anti-perspirant I like to buy a roll on type as I'm not into the sprays and these are easy to use. I paid £1 for this Sure fast drying Cool Blue Anti-perspirant roll on and am happy with my purchase. It is only small and has a twist off lid and it stands on the lid which I also like, this way the roll on always has the anti-perspirant on it when you open the lid and it's ready to roll on straight away. Sure is a well known brand and has been around for years and is a trusted and well tested product. This is a little sticky at first when you apply it but it drys fast and the scent is quite subtle too. It comes in a 50ml bottle which is plastic and can be recycled when it's empty, I like environment friendly products which is why I tend to buy the roll on type of anti-perspirants instead of the spray cans which are difficult to dispose of when empty. This is a unilever product and they make all kinds of beauty products and other household products too they are a big company and this anti-perspirant can be bought at most supermarkets and body care shops. I have bought this before and find it easy to apply and it does keep you dry all day, I haven't had to re-apply it again during the hot weather so I am satisfied with this product and am happy to recommend it to you. I also like the shape of the bottle as it's easy to hold when your applying it, just open the lid, smooth the roller ball over the under arms and let it dry before you put your clothes on as it will stain the clothes if you put them on straight away before it's dry. Good product that works well.
Personally, this is my deoderant of choice! I have a particularly active lifestyle, spending my day rushing around campus, doing sports and of course a spot of dancing! I genuinely find that just one application in the morning is enough to last me the entire day. The smell of the deoderant is very fresh, clean and simple, and you can really feel it working to stop perspiration. I have rcommended it to friends, and many of my friends and family almost exclusively use Sure deoderant. The best around, and as an added bonus supermarkets often do great deals!
After using this brand of deodorant for a number of years, I have found that it always does a good job of keeping you odour free for the day. It does sting a little if putting it on after just shaving your underarms, but it's bearable. The only downside to the deodorant is that it does leave some white marks on your clothes that I can't seem to get out. Over time this does build up and means that you have to buy a new item of clothing, but every other deodorant I've used has done the same and this is only a small amount so will take a while to ruin a top. I like this particular fragrance as it's neutral, it does not have an overpowering fragrance it just does it's job and you can then use perfume or body spray to smell of the fragrance you like. Overall, this is a good deodorant and has been used by myself for years, I will continue to use this deodorant for the foreseeable future.
In my opinion this is the best roll on for women out there as it does the job perfectly . I do lots of high impact excercise including my weekly aerobics class that i attend , every time i go to aerobics i ensure that i have used this product before attending , it leaves your under arms lovley and soft but more importantly after a good session at the gym it leaves you odour free . Sure is resonably priced and is sold in many high street shops , seriously ladies wether its a good work out you are attending or a night on the town be sure to use sure it wont let you down. Ive told many of my friends about sure anti perspirant and none of them could be without it now. I would definatly go for the roll on rather than the spray as the spray tends to leave white marks .
Sure Women Cool Blue Fast Drying 48hr Antiperspirant Roll-On The facts and figures Sure is arguably the best known brand for antiperspirants and deodorants and, although I tend to be swayed by whatever is on offer, I usually come back to Sure. This version will usually cost around £1.60 for 50ml depending where you look, although when I bought mine a few weeks ago it was on a two for £2 offer at Tesco. What are the claims? What claims to set this product apart it that it is quick drying. In addition to this, it promises 48 hour protection. Does it deliver? In terms of being quick drying, I have been really impressed with this product. I usually apply it as soon as I get out of the shower. I then moisturise my face and apply body lotion before dressing, by which point this deodorant is completely dry. Previous brands came nowhere near this for speed and would usually result in standard arm flapping or occasionally, use of the hair dryer (I would like to point out for avoidance of doubt that my arm pits are fuzz free!) In terms of performance, again I am impressed. I don't do anything particularly strenuous during the day but I do walk to work, and as we all know it's easy to misjudge the weather in this country, meaning I'm often a bit hot and bothered when I arrive. This deodorant has never let me down. I also like the fact that it doesn't smell particularly strong either, I want to smell of perfume and nothing else. Finally, the packaging is also fit for purpose, the bottle fits nicely in my hand and the screw top fits snugly and is easy to remove. The upside down design, which is fairly common these days, means that the rollerball doesn't dry out and the product isn't top heavy making it less easily knocked over. The rollerball could be slightly bigger for quicker application, but overall I like the slim design. The only downside to this product is that it can feel quite drying, and it does sting if applied immediately after shaving. Although the sensation goes quite quickly, it can leave my underarms feeling a little tender and I suspect that it wouldn't suit anyone with sensitive skin. Would I recommend this product? On the basis of performance, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product, but be aware that it is geared for performance and not for moisturising. I have noticed that my underarms have become more resilient and now hardly sting at all after shaving, and as yet no dry skin or irritation has developed but I will keep an eye on this as it has only been a few weeks. Assuming my underarms agree, I will definitely be buying this again, I like the fact it doesn't have a strong fragrance and can't fault it on performance, and unlike other brands with similar claims, it does actually dry quickly.
