This deodorant comes in a compact container which takes up less space than the larger spray cans, and also lasts for much longer than the aerosol alternatives.
It is very effective and seems to really minimise any sweating at all, it even lasts through a rigorous gym session. The smell is pleasant, subtle and doesn't compete with your perfume. From past experience, I know that the smell of some comparative products can be a bit stronger.
The price is a bit higher than normal but when you consider that it will last for much longer than the standard aerosol alternatives, it works out to be good value. There are also different promotions available on occasion at the various supermarkets and larger chemist chains, where you can stock up on 3f2 deals and similar. This gives you the chance to save a bit of money and still get a premium product, so keep your eyes open for any current promotions and stock up when you can.
It is a good design for applying just the right amount, which also saves you money as it cuts down on wastage and the temptation to use to much, which is the problem with aerosol deodorants. As long as you are careful when applying, you shouldn't have any problems with staining to clothing due to this deodorant either.
I can't vouch for it lasting over a 48hr period, as I have showered in between, but it does work over 24hrs and remains really effective over that time. I would definitely recommend.
I've been using this Sure Maximum Protection deodorant for a few months now as my Mitchum deodorant was causing me some underarm irritation, especially after shaving. I bought this in Tesco for exactly five pounds, which i thought was fairly expensive at the time but it seems to be lasting for ages and it is really very effective. The thing I really like about this deodorant (apart from the fact that it keeps me dry all day), is that it's not a spray can, it has a small clicky dial thing on the bottom of the bottle. I turn this clockwise twice and then just the right amount of deodorant is dispersed at the top of the container. It's almost like a dry powder type deodorant and it smells fresh and clean and I don't have to wait around for ages waiting for it to dry. It doesn't feel sticky, even after it's first een applied, and it's really effective at keeping me fresh and dry all day long, even in sweltering hot weather. I also use this deodorant if I am going to the gym as to date, this is the most effective one I have ever used. It's designed to keep you fresh and dry for up to forty eight hours, though like most people, I tend to have a bath or shower before the forty eight hour mark s up, I cannot vouch as to whether or not it would actually be effective for this length of time. It is more expensive than my normal deodorant but I do feel it is worth it and though i have to be careful of white marks if I am wearing dark clothes, I don't think I would go back to using my old deodorant right now. Expensive, but definitely recommended.
I have been using this deodorant now for approximately 4 months and have found it is the best at keeping you completely dry.
It is similar to other long lasting deodorants such as Driclor in terms of performance. Yet, when using these kinds of deodorants in the past I have found they can cause irritation and itching. Sure Maximum Protection does not cause any irritation, nor itching for me.
Unlike 'regular' deodorants, the directions tell you to put Sure Maximum Protection on overnight as this is when your body stays a more constant temperature and this assists with maximising its effectiveness. This seems a little odd at first but once you feel the dry results after showering the product off in the morning it is easy to be converted.
As tempting as it may be to use in the morning after showering, unless you are a fan of bad white marks, I really would avoid doing this.
As someone who has suffered with the effectiveness of 'regular' deodorants in the past, I can honestly say that Sure Maximum Protection works and is a must have product for me.
I absolutely love this product, after using other products and having to swap them every few days as they stop working and using other brands that are marketed as a complete anti-perspirants, I decided to try this and found that it totally trumps them all! Another thing that I love about this product is that it smells soooo much nicer than other anti-perspirants, even after a long day in work; it still smells fresh hours later! My other half (male) also uses this one as he prefers the smell!!
Another thing I love about it is that it doesn't take forever to dry before you can put your clothes on, it dries instantly!
It is a little bit more pricey compared to other deodorants but a little bit really goes a long way without the need to re-apply throughout the day.
I would totally recommend this product to anybody who has a problem with excessive perspiration!
I tried this deodorant after falling out of favour with my favourite Mitchum anti perspirants as I felt they were no longer giving me the protection I needed. I had been looking at some more "industrial strength" anti-perspirants because in the summer months in particular, I become a sweaty Betty. I picked this one over some of the other anti-perspirants after reading that they could dry the underarm skin out terribly and be stingy on the skin.
As this one was a cream deodorant, I thought it would be more gentle than traditional roll ons and it was. This is different from your traditional anti-perspirants in that you apply it to clean skin at night and it forms a sort of film on the underarm skin, blocking sweat. In the morning, you simply shower as usual and you don't need to apply additional deodorant in the morning. In addition, you don't need to apply it every night, just every other night. I was very skeptical that this could work and on the first day I tried it, I brought a roll on in my bag in case it did not live up to its claims - but it did. I got to the end of the day before realising that the usual sweat patches that would have formed underneath my arms were not there and that I felt incredibly dry. I continued to use this over the course of the next two weeks and the results kept getting better - it really did stop any sweat from forming and I felt confident in tops and T-shirts which I hadn't worn in a long time. I did notice however, that it did dry out the underarm skin very slightly, but not enough to be uncomfortable or sore. I have even noticed that I can skip days of using this and my sweat isn't as bad as it normally would have been.
To say this product is a miracle might seem strange to some people, but if you have ever had the embarrassing problem of excessive sweating you will understand. I used to use a roll on deodorant and spray deodorant everyday and bring one in my bag with me just in case. Now I can leave the deodorant at home and have one less thing to carry in my bag.
~Sweaty Betty? Not me~
I've been a Bzzz agent for several years but I don't take it very seriously. If I'm honest, I find the whole 'spread the word' thing a bit of an ordeal but like most people I'm not averse to the odd free sample to try. I'm pretty selective about what I sign up for though as life really is too short to pretend to be interested in margarine and my cats always turn their fussy little noses up at Tesco cat food.
Quite how I became eligible for testing Sure for Women Maximum Protection Everyday Fresh wasn't obvious to me. I suspect that when I revealed a long term loyalty to Mitchum's super effective roll-on deodorants which claim 48 hour effectiveness, I must have triggered their selection process as a heavy sweater. It's not actually the case - I don't have any particular sweatiness problem but I got a load of Mitchum very cheaply in Savers and have been working my way through a couple of dozen bottles for the last few years. Since I'm pretty happy with my existing super-dooper 48 hour deodorant product, when the opportunity came up to try Sure for Women Maximum Proteciton Everyday Fresh (phew, can I just call it Sure from now on?) I was interested to see how good it really was and whether it would be better than what I was used to.
My Bzzz pack turned up after a couple of weeks with a full-sized pack of the product and some money off vouchers to hand to friends (or use myself). My first impression was that the actual application device - honestly, I really don't know what to call it as it's not a roll on or a spray or anything else - was way too clunky for me. It's a whopper, a big chunky thing that seems unnecessarily large with a lot of wasted volume. I travel every week and my toiletries need to fit into a relatively small (though rarely entirely airport compliant) wash-bag. This unit was going to really have to earn its space in my bag.
The second surprise was reading the instructions, something I really rarely bother to do. It's an antiperspirant deodorant thingy, how many instructions can it really need? Actually it turns out that it is worth reading them, even if you don't subsequently actually follow them. The advice is to turn the dial at the bottom of the unit by two clicks and then - surprise surprise - apply the cream that's pushed up through the perforated dispenser head onto your armpits. Like I said, it's not rocket science. The cream spreads very well and you really don't need more than the tiniest amount to cover your armpits. I like the smell, a fresh, clean sheets sort of fragrance that lingers for a long time after use.
The surprising bit about how to apply the product is that they recommend that you put it on at night, before you go to bed. Despite knowing this, I really couldn't get my head round quite such a large adaptation to my normal ways of working. I may have started with good intentions but they didn't last long. I very quickly defaulted to putting it on in the morning. Yes this means I'll never know if it might have been even more wonderfully effective if I'd followed the 'rules' but I'm more than happy without it and I can't see how much drier my pits could have been when they're already dry and happy.
I've read about cream deodorants for a long time and may have even tried some of the earlier ones before rejecting them as either far too fussy or because they gave a sticky mess in your pits before you even went near any warm weather. The challenge to producers has always seemed to be how to find the right way to get the cream into your armpits and this dispenser does seem to do the trick. Even in high temperatures, the goop doesn't seem to melt and run all over the place. Sure is different - it really is a clean feeling, smooth, non-sticky alternative to roll-ons. There's little need to flap around trying to get the stuff to dry. I find if I put it on before I clean my teeth, then it's dry by the time I've finished.
~Today and tomorrow~
This product claims to work for 48 hours and I think it's entirely believable that it does. Even if you've had a quick shower, it still seems to linger and keep working. I find that both impressive and a little worrying. When my bag took a detour on its way to Germany and didn't arrive with me a few weeks ago, I was pretty unconcerned about the prospect of sweaty pits but rather more bothered about having no clothes for the next day. Also sometimes at the weekend when I'm feeling particularly lazy, I don't exactly pay a lot of attention to whether I've remembered to put deodorant on - and with this product, it doesn't seem to matter.
I'm sure the folk at Bzzz thought that sending out antiperspirant for testing in May and June would be a really good idea but the weather this year was so rubbish that I was using this for several weeks before I really got to test its hot weather effectiveness. I did manage a very sweaty run from security to the departure gate at Stansted on a hot day that left almost every part of me sweating like a guilty man in the witness box but my armpits were smugly dry and probably showing off to the rest of my body about how cool they were. I'm currently on holiday in Budapest where the temperature topped 38C. Again, every bit of me seemed to be suffering except my pits. There was no risk of wet rings under my arms even if the rest of me was melting. For the cooler weeks that I was using it, I really just didn't notice anything unusual except the occasional waft of the nice fragrance from my pits.
Despite thinking the pack is far too big for the amount of product inside, something I do like about the design of the pack is that it's easy to see how much is left through the transparent housing of the applicator. There's nothing more annoying when you're travelling than discovering your product has run out and you couldn't tell because of the opaque packaging. No risk of that with this one.
One thing I know a lot of people worry about with such products is marks on their clothes. Again, this is not something I've found to be a problem with this product. In fact I've found only two problems - the size of the unit and the price. It's very nice to have got a free one to play with but would I really pay the normal asking price of more than £5 for just 45ml of antiperspirant cream? It's good - really good - but the bulkiness is a problem for me and I suspect it's something I may just buy for the summer months or for holidays and stick to my much cheaper products for the rest of the year.
Over the years I've tried most of the anti-perspirants on the market which claim to be strong enough for problem perspiration and been very disappointed with the results - and also quite out of pocket as they are usually much more expensive than the ordinary range - so was very happy to be sent a free sample from Sure to test impartially. I can report that this is by far the most effective product that I have tried. It claims on the packaging to be a 48h anti-perspirant deodorant and I have found this to be true - even when gardening in warm weather or dashing around the shops on a trip to the city I have still been as fresh and dry as when first applying the product. Included in the box with the product is an instruction leaflet explaining how the special ingredients work and how to apply for maximum effect - most importantly (apparently) it should be applied last thing at night before bed as the special Sure TRI-Solid formulation gets to work when your body temperature drops whilst at rest as the sweat glands are less active and skin more receptive and the formulation has chance to build up stronger protection. It took a few days for me to get into this routine but it did really work. You can then apply again in the morning for added protection. It is a very gentle cream which does not sting even after shaving and moisturises at the same time leaving underarms soft. It claims to leave no white marks on clothes and I actually found it true in the case of Sure Maximum Protection. I tried the Everyday Fresh fragrance which I found to be fresh but rather strong and as there are plenty of fragrances in the range I will try a different one when I purchase next. Although it is more expensive than your regular anti-perspirant (it is available in most supermarkets and chemist chains and is current £5.30 at Boots, £5.19 at Superdrug and £5 at Sainsburys) for the extra dryness and therefore confidence I would definitely say it was worth it. I shall be buying this in future!
Okay, so first off I should let you know that as a BzzAgent I received this product free to test. Now I have used other anti perspirants so I was interested to see how this would compare.
Firstly, the anti-perspirant comes in an easy-to-hold plastic container with a push on cap. This in turn is in a box - I am not sure why a box is needed to be honest, it seems like a bit of a waste of packaging to me. The design of the box is a bit uninspiring too and you could easily miss it on the shelf in the shop. To apply, you simply take off the cap, twist the dial at the bottom of the 'stick' and the cream will rise up through the small holes at the top. You then apply the cream as you would any other anti perspirant/deodorant. The cream is very white, and it is very obvious when you first put it on(handy for seeing where you have missed) but it dries very quickly and it is clear on the skin when it does.
For best results you should apply this at night before going to bed; now it took me a few days to get into the habit of doing this and it was a bit weird not applying anything in the morning (although Sure says you can reapply if you like) but I soon got the hang of it. The fragrance was light, but I still noticed the scent at odd times as the day progressed. The coverage was good, and it kept me dry all day. As anti-perspirants work by stopping you from sweating (as opposed to deodorants which just neutralise the smell) I was dubious about leaving this on for 48 hours as per Sure's claims but in the interest of research I did just that! And it worked! I was still fresh and dry, with no hint of BO! On checking my clothes I was pleased to see that there were no marks (white or otherwise).
To really test it out, I used it before an intense gym class. It did hold up well, but couldn't stop me from sweating completely! For everyday general use though, it's exceptional.
The only negative that I can find is the price. At £5+ it isn't cheap; I know the argument is that it lasts you twice as long but I would still want the product to be on a par with deodorant prices. If it was, then it would really set it apart from the rest and prove value for money.
Being 18 years old, female, and at university, appearance is everything. I have always had a problem with perspiration ever since I was little and never had much luck with antiperspirant sprays or roll ons. I bought Sure Maximum protection over a year ago and I refuse to use anything else! The stick has as quick and smooth application and smells better than previous models. I found that, although it is particularly creamy in texture, it does not leave any particular residue on the skin. However, I do feel that it needs a short time (literally only like thirty seconds) to dry a little before putting your clothes on. This is more of a precaution than anything though! I have noticed that recently, Sure have released the maximum protection range in other styles including pomegranate and lemon. Although this is the case, I feel that the original is so much better and I would recommend it to anyone!
I have been a Bzz Agent for approximately twelve months and as a result I am regularly invited to try out products in return for discussing my experiences with friends and family in addition to writing reviews and reporting back to Bzz. I enjoy the opportunity of a challenge and was delighted to be asked if I wanted to try out Sure Women Maximum Protection with this review discussing my thoughts.
As I have been using aerosols for the majority of my lifetime, the thought of using a cream anti-perspirant deodorant was a little nerve-racking and I must admit to taking a few days to pluck up the coverage and try it out. The 45 ml of product was contained within a cardboard box and accompanied by a small double sided leaflet, which offered a good size easy to read text. It seemed rather bizarre to be reading a leaflet prior to applying a deodorant, but in order to familiarise myself with how to use together with the claims, I digested the information back and front.
The sturdy plastic deodorant stick is fairly chunky in appearance due to its double wall construction, which is opaque and as a result, I am able to witness the white cream contained inside. The oval shaped stick offers a clip on and off deep lid, which I found easy to use and whilst I normally toss the lids away from aerosol products, the lid is necessary to keep the cream free of dust. The upper section was hygienically protected with a large adhesive tab, which was easily removed to reveal a circular mesh section from which the cream is dispensed. I was interested to learn that the product contains Trisolid, which is a formula that Sure claim will provide maximum wetness protection.
Whilst I cannot admit to heavily perspiring or suffering from odour, there are only two products on the market that offer me protection, particularly as on those occasions when I am stressed, I occasionally suffer with slight dampness underneath my arms. Consequently, I felt extremely apprehensive about using, as I anticipated the cream to be sticky and remain wet on my underarms for a long period of time.
Following the directions, I turned the dial, which is located on the underside of the unit, in an anti clockwise direction with each partial turn offering a clicking sound. In doing so, I was able to witness the cream contained inside, slightly rising towards the dispensing section and I proceeded until it appeared on the surface of the applicator. I found the dial easy to twist, so do not anticipate that it would be a hindrance to those consumers who suffer with mobility problems in the hands or fingers.
It is recommended that for best results, the cream be applied at night before going to bed due to the fact that our sweat glands are least active and as a result, the skin is more receptive to the ingredients. Whilst Sure states that the product will continue to be effective after showering the following morning, we are informed that there is no need to reapply due to the 48 hour protection claim. I found this concept a little daunting particularly as the application of an anti-perspirant deodorant following my morning shower is an essential part of my daily routine. However, determined to fully test out the product I followed the directions.
The recommended dose for each application is two clicks, which is when the cream dispenses through the small mesh holes located on the upper section. The appearance seemed a little weird, as the cream had squirted out of each of the holes and looked like dozens of tiny short white worms! Despite the product being specifically designed for women, it offers pure white and pale green packaging together with a clean and fresh scent that I feel appropriate to also be suitable for men. I gently pressed the applicator against my underarm and manoeuvred it until the area was fully covered with the little "white worms" having fully dispensed onto my skin. The applicator was comfortable to use against my skin and far more impressive than the roll on products that I briefly used many years ago.
Whilst I had anticipated the cream to take forever to dry, I was pleasantly surprised that within just a few seconds I was able to touch my underarm and not witness any stickiness or residue. Whilst the aroma was evident following application, it gradually began to fade and was non existent ten minutes or so later although I cannot speak of this being an issue as far as I am concerned.
I initially felt a little apprehensive about showering the following morning, as I was afraid I would wash the product away. However, despite experiencing several periods of stress during the working day I cannot speak of feeling any dampness or witnessing any odour and I felt confident that my underarms were protected for the entire day. The cream stick can also be used in the mornings, but I prefer to apply the night before in order to obtain maximum results. The skin on my underarms can occasionally become a little irritated, but I found the cream to be very gentle due to the fact that it contains dimethicone, which is an ingredient found in many skin care products. Whilst the cream carries the claim of 48 hour protection, I am unable to evidence this, as I favour bathing and showering every day.
I must admit that I have never been fond of Sure products, as my previous experiences of using has always been disappointing. However, I was extremely impressed with Sure Women Maximum Protection, which is available in three different fragrances with mine being the Everyday Fresh. The cost is rather steep, as it generally retails at £5.30 although this is a small price to pay for all day confidence and I anticipate my stick to last me a good length of time due to the small amount that is needed for each application. Due to the reasons discussed above I am able to make a high recommendation.
I have recently been put on new medication by my doctor and one of the side effects of this is increased perspiration, especially at night. My regular anti-perspirant just didn't seem to be doing the job and I was continually left with unsightly damp patches under my arms which made me very self conscious. While shopping in my local supermarket I spotted Sure Maximum Protection 48 hour anti-perspirant with claims that it will keep you fresh and dry for up to 48 hours I thought it was worth a go, although who would go that length of time without washing I don't know!
Packaged in a cardboard box with the deodorant itself in a plastic container with a little wheel at the bottom which you turn to push the product out. It takes several turns to push it up far enough to use.
The deodorant is of a creamy consistency and applies very easily and has a lovely fresh smell (reminds me of baby powder). Application is simple, just rub into underarms. I find that the product then takes on a powdery texture and leave a residue on clothing, especially darker colours. The directions tell you that for best results to use at bedtime, and that it will withstand washing and showering the following morning.
The first time I used the product I did as instructed and applied it just as I was going to bed. When I woke up in the morning l didn't feel like the product had any effect. I had my shower as usual and noticed that despite washing my underarm I could still feel a residue from the deodorant. Not convinced that it could carry me through the day I applied more before getting dressed.
As they day went on I felt that I had to apply this product several more times, and I didn't feel like it had any effect on my level of perspiration. Even when not doing anything strenuous I was still developing horrible sweat patches under my arms. Maybe this was due to the medication, but I have since tried other products which have helped.
Overall I think this product smells lovely and applies well, but I don't believe that it lives up to its claims so I think 3 out of 5 is the best I can give it.
I purchased this product in advance of my wedding - As I was really worried about sweating with nerves and hot weather, and also didn't want to get sweat marks on my dress. I bought it about 2 months beforehand, as I had heard bad things about these longer lasting deodorants blocking pores and such so wanted to try it out well in advance just in case. But no problems here :-)
The deodorant is well packaged and comes in a box with precise instructions on how to use. The bottle itself is well designed. The deodorant is a cream, with a flat plastic appliator at the top of the bottle. The cream is dispensed by turning the dial a couple of clicks. The instructions state that only 2 clicks should be needed, but I have found that the amount per click really varies so I generally need between 2 and 4 clicks per arm. The cream has a slight fragrance, but it is not too strong and doesn't seem to last long but I'm not bothered by this at all as that is what perfume is for! (I use the blue one - I think there's also a pink version but not sure what the difference is). It spreads well under the arm, and dries quickly. It can leave white marks on black clothes, but only if you're careless putting them on.
The instructions say that it is most effective when put on the night before, as it will last through a shower. I have never tried this, as I find it perfectly effective when I apply in the morning and not sure I'd have the same peace of mind that it would work having showered with it on.
So how well does it last? I honestly can't fault it. It lasted through my wedding, and I can't remember sweating under my arms once - And I had the confidence in the product to not worry. It also lasts well during my shifts in a busy hospital. I feel dry and fresh all day. As for the 48 hours claim, I would have to back it up as on the odd day where I haven't showered for the subsequent day I still feel dry and smell fresh. I don't wear it every day, but certainly for busy shifts or big events this product is a must.
One thing I have noticed with this though is that because its so effective at stopping sweating under the arms, the sweat needs to come out somewhere so I found that my feet were more sweaty than normal. Just something to be aware of!
It costs around £5, which seems expensive but the product seems to last well and I feel that the benefits you get from it make it very good value for money and I would buy it again.
In my quest to find the perfect deodrant/anti perspirant I have tried SO many different kinds. When one has a really pleasant smell, it does absolutely nothing to stop perspiration. If they effectively stopped sweating, they smelt awful. With the Sure Maximum Protection, I've found the perfect balance!
At first I was put off by the price. I paid £5 when it was on offer at Sainsbury's (with 200 extra nectar points!) and this seemed like a hefty investment for something like a deodorant. Since I have been using the product, I must say that the benefits by far outweigh the costs and this product is definitely worth the price paid for it.
There were three available scents when I bought mine, but I went for the standard blue one. Sure may have added a few more to the range in the meantime but I'm not sure. The scent of the deodorant isn't too overwhelming and doesn't start to smell a bit musty throughout the day.
You may find that the first time you use the deodorant the roll on cream takes an extremely long time to soak in (I certainly did) but over time you can use less, so it soaks in pretty quickly. The thought of having to wait for my deodorant to dry is what initially puts me off roll-ons but since this is a cream and not wet liquid, its very quick drying. The packaging doesn't specify that it's 'no white marks' but I've had no such problems with this and I've worn a few black tops with it on.
As for the 48-hour protection, I'm not too sure about that because I don't like the idea of waking up and not putting any deodorant on. I've also found that it seems to stay on in the shower - you can faintly smell it when you get out so there is still some protection remaining. As for a sort of 12-hour protection - it's absolutely the best I've ever tried! General walking around town, doing errands or going to work it's absolutely perfect with no signs of wetness. I don't know how it would stand up to exercise, but I'm sure it would do pretty well.
Don't be put off by the price of this, it's worth every penny!
I bought this deodorant in my local supermarket the day before a big family wedding - I knew I was going to be 'on the go' from early morning until late at night, and I wanted a deodorant that would keep me shower fresh (a big ask) for hours on end. I had tried other 'hard-working' deodorant roll-ons before (e.g., Mitchum for women), but found them to be either too wet or too cakey in consistency, and didn't have the long-lasting wetness/odour protection I was looking for.
Sure Maximum protection for women is packaged in a neat cardboard box, with the sealed deodorant stick inside; the packaging is neat, discreet, and doesn't scream 'extra strength deodorant' - a relief, as it can be a bit embarrassing having something like that in your basket/trolley (I didn't feel self-conscious about other shoppers and the girl at the checkout thinking I was a bit of a sweaty Betty!). The stick itself looks like most deodorant sticks on the market, with a clear lid and a clicker dispenser at the bottom to allow you to dispense just the right amount of product.
I was pleased to see that, underneath the clear plastic cap, the deodorant was sealed with foil to keep it fresh (probably from drying out, as the consistency is that of a rich cream).
It's important to read the instructions (there's a leaflet in the box alongside the deodorant stick) for best results. The instructions advised that the deodorant should be applied the night before to give it time to activate and work properly. I thought this would be inconvenient, as I prefer to take a shower in the morning - it turns out, though, that the deodorant will *still* work the next day even after a morning shower. Perfect.
After a quick evening wash, I applied a decent but light spread of the white, creamy deodorant to my underarms. I expected it to 'sit' on my skin, but it absorbed very well, leaving no horrible film or residue. The scent was light, not overpowering. Next morning I had a proper shower (my underarms were quite fresh when I woke up, I'm happy to report) and re-applied another thin layer of the deodorant, just to be sure I was protected for the long day ahead. I was delighted to see that the deodorant left no horrible marks on my dress (which was a dark navy colour).
Overall, my first experience of this product was excellent - I went through the entire wedding day without sweaty, whiffy underarms (I didn't have to apply any of the emergency deodorant I usually carry in my handbag). I even noticed that a few of my girlfriends was getting a bit smelly when we were all out dancing, but I was still sweet as a rose!
Sure Maximum Protection is more expensive than your average deodorant (almost Euro7), but I think it's absolutely worth it.
This deodorant has given me a huge confidence boost - I know that I can use it again next time I'm going to an important event, and that I won't be worrying about sweat, or having to duck off to the loo every few hours to freshen up.
Thank you, Sure!
I regard Sure as my favourite brand of anti-perspirant/deodorant but although I am happy with the protection they give me as a deodorant I am sometimes left looking for more from the anti-perspirant side of things. When I noticed that they had decided to bring out a 48 hour protection against anti-perspirant for women like myself I had to give it a go.
Appearance and Smell
The product comes in a very minimalistic, rectangular packaging, with the actually plastic tube being shaped to the way your hand holds the product. The product is released from the packaging by twisting the wheel at the bottom, pushing the cream up through the various little holes in a circle at the top. The product is a white cream which has a fresh, clean linen type of smell to it.
To use the cream you are supposed to put it on at night and then try not to wash it off in the shower in the morning by not applying shower gel to your underarms. I found this part of the process very difficult to keep to as it is a natural instinct to wash yourself when you have a shower. Due to this I did not find the product worked very well as I ended up resorting to putting it on after my shower in the morning. I know not following the instructions properly has resulted in the product not working for me but I am sure there is another way it could be used to make it as successful as it should be. When it was applied it did have a good, pleasant smell to it, and if the way you had to apply it could be improved then I would be likely to try it again.
I found that this product was very expensive considering the poor quality and time I had with it. Having paid around £5 for a 45ml tube I did expect a lot more from this product but could just not meet the needs of how it is supposed to be used.
