My husband recently surprised me with a few items from The Body Shop as a gift, one of which was the "Strawberry Body Mist", with this review discussing my experiences and opinion.
The Body Mist is only available in one size of bottle which is 100ml, and my husband paid £7.50 for this in a local branch of The Body Shop recently. You can also purchase online at www.thebodyshop.co.uk, where postage costs will normally apply.
There is a small range of strawberry-scented bath and body products available in The Body Shop, many of which I own and love, including the beautifully-scented Body Butter. I thought that the Strawberry Body Mist would make a lovely addition to the selection of products that I already own, and I was looking forward to trying it out.
The packaging is fairly simple, but I find it works well. The tall, cylindrical bottle is made of clear glass, and so I can see the clear-coloured liquid contained within quite easily. There is a robust 'pump' dispenser on top of the bottle and this works well, providing an ample 'spritz' of product when it is pressed. I can easily remove and replace the bottle's silver lid, and find all aspects of the packaging are easy to use; the only real niggle that I have when considering this aspect of the product is the fact the bottle is made of glass - this is unnecessary in my view, as so many of The Body Shop's other products are provided in plastic packaging. I do have to confess that the glass bottle is slightly inconvenient for me, as it is much heavier than plastic, rendering the product completely unsuitable for popping into my handbag to take out and about, in addition to it being unsuitable to take on trips and holidays.... what a shame.
The Body Mist liquid is completely clear, and I have found that it has never caused any staining or greasiness on clothing or fabrics, which is a definite plus-point, of course. I find that only two or perhaps three 'presses' on the bottle's pump is quite ample for my own requirements, although this matter is probably down to personal choice, and other consumers may wish to apply a little more. For my own requirements, however, this isn't necessary, and I do have to admit that the bottle is lasting extremely well considering how often the product has been used. This result gives the product a bit of an 'economical' feel, allowing the slightly high purchase price to feel rather justified, as a result.
When the Body Mist is released from its bottle, it smells wonderful; with a completely refreshing 'feel' to it, the lovely scent of fresh strawberries is unmistakeable. I do have to confess that I was slightly cautious about the product feeling 'sickly' on the skin once it was applied, but thankfully this has never been the case, as the product's scent - whilst undeniably sweet - never takes on the familiar 'heady', sickly edge that some strawberry-scented toiletries will contain. In my experience, cheaper or inferior bath/body care products that are scented with 'fruity' fragrances will often feel sickly when applied - their scents usually contain a strong 'saccharine' tone in their formulation that I find quite off-putting. Experience has taught me that only those fruity-scented toiletries of a slightly more 'premium' quality are worth bothering with.
I find the scent is bordering on being mouth-watering as it dries on the skin. The refreshing scent feels surprisingly 'light' too, which I think makes it the perfect 'body accessory' for more everyday occasions, when heavier scents and perfumes feel a little much. It struck me too that the Body Mist's fragrance felt quite uplifting which has made it a pleasure to use recently when the days have still felt a little cold and dark. It's refreshing 'edge' is definitely one of the product's best features as far as I am concerned, and I am really looking forward to using the product in the summer when the days are warmer; I do think that the scent will be perfectly suited to these months thanks to its light, 'easy-going' nature.
There's only one little niggle that springs to mind at this point, and that is concerning the longevity of the scent. I do find that once the product has completely dried on my skin I can really only smell it if I seek it out, which is down to its understated 'body', I think. Whilst this is a definite plus-point when considering the fact the scent never becomes sickly or over-bearing, I do feel that this factor is also responsible for the fact the scent is rather reluctant to hang around too long, which is a bit of a shame. To be completely fair, I do feel that the Strawberry Body Mist performs as well as most other Body Spray/Body Mist products that I own, but considering The Body Shop's price tag for this particular product, I do confess that I feel slightly disappointed at the fact I have to reapply the Mist several times throughout the day in order to enjoy its fruity scent properly. I also feel that there is little - or no! - hope of the scent being detected by another person whilst I am wearing it which is a shame. To reflect my disappointment at this discovery, I feel it necessary to deduct one star in the product rating score.
As with all products from The Body Shop that I have used before, I have never experienced any irritation or aggravation to my sensitive skin during or after the use of this product. Based on these results, I do recommend the Strawberry Body Mist as being entirely suitable for those consumers who, like me, suffer with sensitive skin issues.
Taking everything into account, I would definitely buy The Body Shop's Strawberry Body Mist again, particularly in the warmer summer months as I feel its wonderful, refreshing scent will feel particularly pleasant during this time of year. I do feel that the product is worthy of my full recommendation, but I find it is slightly disappointing that the lovely scent doesn't last around too long.
I am the first person to admit that i have a small (okay, more like big) body shop addiction. Every single product i have ever tried from this brand has been of a consistently high quality, and this gorgeous body mist is no exception.
The bottle is a nice big size, meaning that the product lasts a long time. Tsmell lasts for hours and doesn't make your skin feel dry/ leave any white marks on clothes. I use my body mist more like a perfume :)
The only thing i would list as a drawback is that the strawberry smell is definitely the sweetest made by the body shop - so it probably isn't suitable if you don't like exceptionally sweet fragrances. Don't spray too much in one go as it can be a little overpowering.
i would wholeheartedly reccomend this body mist. Such a lovely product. And the other plus? theres a whole range of other gorgeous strawberry fragranced items that match! treat yourself or buy as a present, you most certainly won't regret it!
I originally received the strawberry body mist for Christmas but waited until I finished my other perfume before I started using it, I have now been using this for about 2-3 weeks and I must say I am extremely impressed. I don't usually shop in the body shop as although I love the products it is usually quite expensive and I find the staff pounce on you as soon as you walk through the door, bombarding you with offers and products you don't need. Although they do have a website I would only consider using this to re-order something I already had because I like to be able to try and smell the products before I buy them.
It costs £7.50 for 100ml which although sounds like a good price, because the product is a mist not a perfume, I find that you go through the product a lot faster meaning it works out more expensive. That being said I would buy this product again and I feel it is well worth the money.
Now on to the important bit, the scent. I think I might be addicted to the sweet scent of this mist, it smells very similar to the rest of the body shop's strawberry line, maybe not instantly recognisable as strawberries but a lovely smell all the same. It is a very light fragrance but the smell lasts for hours and I constantly get whiffs of it throughout the day as I'm going about my business especially if you layer it up with the strawberry body butter or shower gels etc. I think this is the perfect scent for spring and summer and although it may not seem like it, the sunny days are just round the corner.
The packaging is simple but classy and unlike some other perfumes with slightly tackier packaging this takes pride of place on my dressing table. It's in a clear glass bottle with a red label on the front simply stating the brand, scent and what the product is and the liquid itself is clear in colour.
I would definitely recommend the body mist to everyone, the fruity smells are bound to turn heads and even if strawberry doesn't appeal to you I would 100% recommend going to your local store and checking out the rest of their line. They have many different scents including white musk, coconut and satsuma so there is bound to be a scent that takes your fancy.

I would first off like to express that I love, Love, Love all that is "The Body Shop". I find all their products to be really natural and great on my slightly sensitive skin. I began a trial of the Strawberry body mist after I had become a big fan of the Strawberry Body Butter a few years back. I find that the mist is much lighter than a typical perfume but holds it's scent for ages, much better than the likes of anything like Impulse.
The strawberry scent is also really refreshing and different from anything else I have sampled on the market. It is fruity and light without being overpowering and so perfect for day wear. From personal experience I used to shower/bath on an evening and use the body butter all over my skin. Then, in the morning I would get ready and spray my pressure points with the mist to intensify the scent leftover from the night before. I find doing that makes me feel fresh throughout the day.
I also, love the bottle size compared with price. When I purchased my first bottle I got it cheaper after using a voucher at the till so wasn't too fussed on price. However, I found the product lasted me well over a year with regular use so I had no need to repurchase for a while saving me loads if say I'd bought a Superdrug spray instead. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone who is a fan of the strawberry scent. It works a treat, smells a treat and doesn't pull on the purse strings!! Also, I love the Shea scent that body Shop sell too - it smells like fresh bedding!!!
I absolutely adore fruity body products and strawberry flavoured ones are one of my favourites so I love this body mist spray from The Body Shop.
The body mist is a great way of freshening up either on its own or in combination with the other strawberry products from The Body Shop.
This is a good one for people who like fruity products but don't like them too strong and sweet as I think it is quite subtle. It smells of strawberries obviously but it is light and doesn't smell artificial or chemical. It just has a lovely light fragrance.
The mist feels lovely on my skin and I love spraying it on myself when I get home from work and also in the mornings after having a shower. It doesn't sting my skin or make it feel dry.
Because the mist is so fine I can also spray this directly onto my clothing and not just onto my skin and it doesn't stain my clothes.
This is a lovely body mist but the biggest problem that I have with it is that it is very weak and not long lasting. This might be good for someone who wants something subtle but I honestly have trouble smelling this even an hour after having sprayed some on which is a shame as it really is a gorgeous scent.
I have more success when I have sprayed it on fabric as it lasts a lot longer than it does on my skin but even then it goes really weak after a short amount of time. It also works well as ironing water and just gives my clothes a subtle fresh and sweet smell to them.
I also love to use this as a room freshener as I love the smell and think it leaves my house smelling great when I have guests coming around and because it is subtle it doesn't leave a sickly sweet smell behind for those people who don't like sweet smelling scents.
I do like this a lot but I think at £7.50 it should have a little bit more pow to it or at least be longer lasting. I will continue to buy it because I love it so much but for most people if you like the scent then you will probably be better off with the Eau de Toilette as it is longer lasting and stronger.
As the weather heats up I like to tone down my usually heavy perfume and opt instead for a lighter, fresher and easy to wear scent. I bought a range of Body Shop mists as part of a 'buy one get one half price' promotion they currently have on in store. The bottles cost under £8 each.
The bottle is made of glass and had a lovely solid, heavy feel to it. This resonates the quality of the item. The glass is clear, allowing you to see the sweet red liquid within. Other mists in the collection vary in shades from orangey pink to grey. The labelling is neat, clean and simple.
For those with a penchant for strawberries, this body must really is fabulous. It is sweet, but not too sweet. It is fruity, but not fruity. It is light, but still distinctive. It is fresh and delicate yet holds long after initial application. It is ideal for all those who enjoy the rich, juicy freshness of strawberries.
In addition to being a great body mist and perfume, you can use this as a room and linen spray. You may also wish to use it like a scented bath oil and add a few drops into you steaming bath.
The body shop prides itself in its ethics which makes this is a great guilt-free and conscious purchase.

I am reviewing Strawberry Body Mist from The Body Shop. The product is a light scented body mist that can be used all over the body for a gentle burst of sweet, fruitiness. The product has a delicious strawberry scent and is light and fresh. This can be used all over the body and on clothes. I do like using perfumes but tend to only use these for special occasions or nights out on the town and it's sometimes nice to have something that I can wear during the day that isn't too obvious or as strong as perfume. I had to purchase some items on The Body Shop website anyway so decided to browse their range of Body Mist and this one sounded really nice and would be perfect for use in the day, especially with the warmer weather on its way (hopefully). I actually purchased this along with the Vanilla Body Mist. I love the scent of some of the Strawberry product from The Body Shop so I was hoping that this was going to smell as good as some of the other products I have tried such as the body wash and body scrub. The body mist comes in a tall bottle which is made from glass. This is slightly annoying as I would have liked to keep this product in my bag with me, but I won't do this now in fear of the bottle breaking and the fact that glass is much heavier than a plastic bottle. On the front of the bottle is a label which has a picture of a large strawberry on. It states what the product is and it also states that the product contains strawberry extract. The label on the back of the bottle tells you how to use the product and states that it shouldn't be sprayed onto or near the face. The lid which covers the spray part of the bottle is a shiny silver colour and is made from plastic. This comes off easily to reveal the spray button which dispenses the mist. This is also silver in colour to match the lid. You can clearly see the liquid inside the bottle which is clear.

You can purchase this online or in store. The product is only available in one sized bottle which holds 100ml of the body mist. The body mist is priced at £7.50; how-ever I actually purchased this at 35% off on their website so it was a bargain at around £4.88.
Using the Product

I sprayed the product onto my clothes after getting dressed. When I pressed the button on the top of the perfume a fine mist came out and landed on my clothes. I could smell the sweet scent of strawberry straight away which smelt nice, but didn't smell too sweet. I sprayed a good amount of this onto my clothes and left the house. I didn't take the bottle with me as the fact that the bottle is made from glass puts me off putting it in my bag. I could smell the light scent of strawberry on my clothes and I was hoping the smell would last as it was very pleasant and fresh smelling. At first I was initially worried that this was going to smell too sweet, how-ever it didn't. I was out for a good 4 hours and during this time I got the one or two occasional whiffs of the scent, but it wasn't very strong. This is when I decided that the body mist needed re-applying throughout the night in order to keep the scent smelling decent enough and to last the whole night. I was a little disappointed at the staying power of the body mist as although it smells gorgeous, the scent isn't strong enough to last throughout the night or during the day. Although there was a slight scent of the strawberry smell on my clothes it wasn't strong enough to last or strong enough for anyone else to notice the smell.

When purchasing this product I had high hopes of it and was looking forwards to using it, how-ever I was a little disappointed in terms of the longevity of the scent. When I first sprayed the body mist the smell of it smelt lovely, fresh and fruity. You could tell the mist was a strawberry scent. Although the mist smelt fruity, it didn't smell too sweet and wasn't overpowering. The scent from the body mist didn't last for the duration I was out and I would have needed to apply it at least twice more during the night to enable the smell to last all night. I was disappointed by this as I didn't think I would have to apply the product so regularly in order to keep the scent smelling good. In terms of value I do think that the product is rather pricey, considering that it doesn't really last very long. I would probably purchase this again as it makes a gorgeous summer scent, how-ever I would only purchase it when it's on offer or if I had a discount code. I would recommend this product to others, but would suggest on only purchasing it when it's not full price.
