“ Brand: Wilkinson / Spray / Type: Body Spray / Suitable for: Body „
A couple of months ago I was looking for a cheap body spray as my favourite perfume had just run out. I first looked at the Impulse brand, but I spotted this in Wilkinsons and thought it would be worth a go as it was such a bargain! Firstly these bottles cost around the 50p mark for 75ml of product. I think this is pretty good when you compare it to a bottle of Impulse, which are currently £1.99 at Boots. The packaging of these body sprays is fairly basic and no frills. The Dreamy one comes in a metallic pink bottle, with a silvery illustration on the bottle which actually resembles a paisley print. It is nice and lightweight, so you could pop it in your bag for when you are on the go. The blurb on the front of the bottle says that this is Wilko's "juiciest, fruitiest fragrance - it'll keep you fresh and feminine all day long". Now, this is where I'm inclined to disagree a little. It certainly is fruity and girly, and it does smell very strong when you first spray it. The mixture of fragrances in this is supposedly orange, jasmine, lily and coconut. I do get the jasmine and zesty orange, but nothing of the coconut, but that could just be me. I would probably prefer a slightly lighter fragranced spray overall. I find with this spray that it tends to wear off fairly quickly, so you have to keep reapplying it throughout the day. It just doesn't seem to last on your clothes or on your skin. I don't mind too much as it is fairly cheap, but on the whole I would prefer a scent which would last most of the day. I probably wouldn't set out to buy this again, but might pick it up if I happened to be in Wilko's.
I was in need of some new body spray so I bought this one as part of an offer, and it smelled good enough. ~Packaging and Appearance~ Wilko Body Spray in Dreamy is sold in a metallic neon pink aluminium can. On the front of the can is the Wilko logo, 'Dreamy' in black writing and a pale pink heart with white clouds inside it. The can's lid is pink and easy to take off, unlike other body sprays! Wilko describes this spray as ' juicy and fruity'. ~Product~ To spray the perfume on your body just press the white nozzle and the perfume will be propelled out of the small black hole. I would agree with Wilko's claims - the spray is quite juicy and fruity - I could actually smell some zesty lemon in there. I would have prefered the scent a lot more if it had been a little sweeter. The scent isn't overpowering though - actually quite subtle, which worked very well with its strong scent. It didn't last too long though, only about half a day, so you may need to re-apply it, but this won't be a problem as the can is very compact so you can carry it around. I wasn't too bothered by the fading of the scent, as that happens to me with all body sprays anyway! The can lasted me a good few months, which was good too. ~Value~ Wilko Body Spray in Dreamy costs 48p without any offers, which is good value for an average body spray.
On yet another shopping trip of late and stocking up on body sprays (as usual lol) I couldn't resist buying this one at 49p because of the can. It's a lovely bright pink colour so I actually plopped it in my basket without giving it a sniff! I like me body sprays and I thought oh well if I don't like it I'll give it me Mother lol She will like it for nothing lol The Packaging.... As I said it comes in a bright pink metallic, cerise, aluminum recyclable can with white aerosol push button sprayer and a matching pink plastic lid. On the front in white and black writing I'm told it's Wilko, 'Dreamy'. There is a picture of a large heart on the front with white clouds in it. At the bottom of the can I'm told it's a 'juicy, fruity body spray'. On the back all in white writing I'm yet again told it's 'Wilko' and then I'm told a bit about the product, directions for use are given, ingredients are listed, cautions are given (it's flammable etc), then I'm given a cash back promise (if I'm not satisfied with the product for any reason I can have a refund with no quibbles), the size is stated, the recycle symbol is displayed, contact details for Wilkinson's are given and finally there is a bar-code shown. All in all I do like the can. it's nice enough and don't look cheap and/or nasty for something only costing 49p! A Bit About The Product (According To The Back Of The Can).... Wilko Body Spray an enticing fragrance, to give you lasting freshness. Spray freely all over the body. Directions For Use.... Shake can well. Hold can 15cm away from body and spray. My Experience.... When you first spray it you can't really smell that much fragrance really. I spray it onto my clean body and I use it all over my body (as perfume as well) if desired or just as a body spray as per directions given. It goes on very evenly and as a fine mist and there is no real wetness when using this which is a huge plus point to any body spray I think lol It really is simple and straightforward to use with no issues and no residue put on to skin. However the smell is so light. When first sprayed you get a gentle floral whiff (and I mean gentle). It's none distinctive flowers though with no top notes of anything so I have no idea what the flowers are and can't even guess. I would say it's a mix of mild smelling flowers and it is really smooth and well blended. However then take another sniff and it's quite fruity giving it a sweetness over the floral heart of it type of thing. Again I have no idea what the fruit smell is. It isn't zesty fruits but more like a slight mango type of smell. All the smells mingle together nicely to give an airiness to the spray however... This loses it's fragrance almost immediately when it touches the skin. It quietens down immediately on application to almost not there. Give it ten minutes and it's gone forever. Even sniffing up close and personal... it's gone and can't be found even if you try snort your skin! Yes it gives an instant fresh feeling and I still feel fresh when the fragrance is gone and I'm not left feeling sticky or anything but basically this is a pointless product I reckon. It's nice and simple to use and smells pleasant enough when being sprayed but that's that. Effects have been and gone and you can't get the fragrance to stay even if you get generous and spray almost a whole bottle on yourself! Not an impressive body spray on them grounds I'm afraid and for me a waste of 49p when there are much better options from within this range in Wilkinson's! Don't bother and try something else!
