Advantages: Unusual designs, special, different.

Disadvantages: more expensive than otherh igh street shops

I never walked through the door of All Saints, I don't know why; it just never seemed to appeal to me. I walked past the shop on countless shopping trips without a second thought.

My attention was brought to the shop when my older sister began to develop an obsession with a particular dress in All Saints last summer. But of course, with determination not to copy her, I tried my best to show little interest in the store. This proved fairly difficult, as on the numerous occasions I accompanied my sister to the shop to admire said dress, I was intrigued by the interesting patterns and shapes of the clothes. I was surrounded by ruffles, laces, greens, browns, and real earthy colours - just my cup of tea.

You may have noticed I mentioned going into the shop numerous times. This was due to the high cost of the dress, and my sister not knowing if she ought to spend so much money on it. This is, I suppose, a negative point to All Saints. The costs of items are higher than the majority of other high street shops. To purchase a scarf, for example, you should be prepared to spend up to £60, sometimes more. I believe this is because they are unique, and it would be unlikely to find similar anywhere else. A plain black, long sleeved dress costs £90, and patterned dresses can cost more.

The designs on some of All Saint's items, such as their t-shirts are quite unusual, often with skulls, birds, and quite unpleasant imagery. This is something that for me, is quite interesting, however I know of people that are put off by this.

My sister eventually bought the dress. She was very pleased with it, and in my opinion, it automatically looked stylish without the adding of accessories, or any customization. Unfortunately, within a few wears one of the buttons on the dress became loose, and fell off, and within a few weeks this had happened to several. This raises the question of whether you get high quality for the high price. Of course, this situation may have been rare, but surely for £90, buttons shouldn't be falling off a dress?

This hasn't lowered my opinion of All Saints too much. I think it's a great shop, selling beautiful clothes that are very unique. If you want something a bit different, a bit special, then definitely take a look in All Saints, but be prepared to spend that little bit more!

Summary: Unique clothes, but with a larger price tag.
