I have been to the American Apparel stores in Bristol and London. The Bristol one was alright and pretty big, the London one seemed bigger than the Bristol one and was also a great store - When I go shopping in both these cities I always head to the American Apparel stores. American Apparel sells fashionable basics, they are sweatshop free and made in the USA. The hooded jackets are my favourite, they are great quality - I regularly wear my blue/grey coloured one. What is American Apparel? American Apparel is an American clothing company, which in recent years has made the transition to the UK, and really gained in popularity. The store specialises in producing colourful and simple 'basics' which are usually very versatile. Another important aspect about the chain is that all their clothing is made sweatshop free, which I suppose is why the prices are a little higher than most other high street stores. I was so excited when this cult brand finally arrived in Manchester. I had browsed the website many times and had lusted over a number of items but prefer to try before I buy! On arrival in Manchester I was disappointed. It is in a great location, near urban outfitters and all saints. The store looks fab but what really impressed me is the staff - very helpful and friendly. The stock is quirky and cool - very 80s inspired. The range of colours is phonemonal - so much choice! I have been to two American Apparels in the UK - the AA on Oxford Street, and the AA in Cabot Circus, Bristol. I browsed the products on Oxford Street but actually made a purchase at Cabot Circus, so my review will be based on that. Despite visiting Bristol often, we had never been to the 'new' Cabot Circus, and only made our first trip this past month.
