EVERY GIRL NEEDS A HOBO DRESS! (Fashion Shops in Cardiff)

Advantages: Shops to suit everyone, especially the arcade shops

Disadvantages: Not good if you're on a budget!

It always makes me feel rather sad when I come back from travelling, and this is partly due to the fact that I feel the UK lags behind in the shopping department. OK that's not strictly true, but I do live in a rubbish town in Wiltshire, you see.

However, I was reminded after I returned from Australia, that there is some hope in the UK. This is when I went to Cardiff and accidently ended up shopping. And I'm sure girls (and some guys) everywhere will tell you that it is very easy to accidently go shopping. Cardiff has all the usual high street stores but I'm not really interested in them- although, even those shops are better than my home town. I prefer the unique clothing shops, where you can pick up something that hardly no one else has. The arcades are brilliant for this, with so many exciting vintage shops lurking around the corner.

I'm going to give special credit to a shop called "Hobos Vintage Clothing" which - despite the name- has just about the best selection of clothes I've ever seen. I believe it is in the Queen's arcade, but forgive me if I'm wrong considering I do not live here. I could quite happily have lived with the clothes in that shop alone and never shop somewhere else again. There were so many different types of tops, jackets (for men as well), jeans, trousers, skirts and of course amazing dresses. It's the type of shop where if you see something you have to buy it out of fear that you'll never see something like that again. And so I did, I parted with 22 much needed pounds in exchange for this fantastic black and white dress with red roses on it. I did get £3 off though for a student discount which was nice :) The only disadvantages with that is they only have limited amounts of the clothes and so may not have your size in the piece you want and usually it's only in smaller sizes.

But in all, shopping in Cardiff is a great day out =)

Summary: I'd go there anyday, soon as money is in the bank again.
