Advantages: Tons of shops! Easy to navigate. Great transport!

Disadvantages: None! Apart from that you will want to buy far too much!

Glasgow really is a fabulous place to shop whether your looking a full new outfit, a gift for someone or a sexy pair of shoes (my favourite) you will definetly find it! I am a massive fan of the shops in Glasgow and find that the main streets (Buchanan St, Argyll St and Sauchiehall St) are easy to navigate.

In this review I am going to concentrate of the shops you should visit on Buchanan Street & Buchanan Galleries. Please remember I am 21 and my taste may not suit all!

BUCHANAN GALLERIES
At the top of buchanan street you a shopping mall - Buchanan Galleries. This contains tons of shops and is possibly the best place to be when its raining :D Some of my favourites are:

- H&M situated at the entrance of buchanan galleries - although this is a fairly new big store it is not my favourite H&M (and I am a BIG fan of H&M!) and can be a bit cluttered. I would not say it was suitable if u have a pram or buggy, it sometimes resembles a junk store and to be honest the layout of it is quite awful and can make shopping a headache so skip it and head to.....

- Miss Selfridge right next door! Fantastic shop, brilliantly laid out. Perfect for party dresses or going out clothes, some of their more casual clothes can be a little overpriced. Usually have pretty good sales, and their jewellery is pretty cute. Also you can get student discount if you are lucky enough to hold a student card

- John Lewis - a pretty helpful store to have around if you need a gift for mum, dad, gran, papa etc. Sells everything from perfume to bags to clothes to suits etc etc. Also short cut to buchanan bus station, handy! :D

- Accessorize - can sometimes be a little overpriced but still fab. Sequins galore!! Perfect for a key peice in any outfit. Its a tiny little store but well worth a wee visit

- The Disney Store - A brand new store, pretty big, massive selection of disney toys and other merchandise. Perfect for a gift for ANYONE!

- Boots - A GIGANTIC BOOTS STORE, situated at the end of the first floor next to the escalators. Loads of makeup and perfume counters so you will never wait long to get served.

-Another H&M right up the stairs - this time a much better nicer laid out store, contains items for older people rather than the young indie loving fashion followers. The accessories in this h&m are probably better as well, as are the bags. And no neon colours in sight! Nice one!

- An escalator in H&M will take you to baby/kids h&m, I could spend all day in here it really is a fab big store with plenty of variety for babies and kids. And just outside this shop is a foodcourt :D have a break!

Then all the way back down 3 sets of escalators and you have....

BUCHANAN STREET

- Massive Zavvi store, plenty of bargains to be had, over 3 floors and has a costa coffee on the 3rd floor. Student Discount card available.

- Next door TopShop (another one of my favourites). Also over 3 floors - first floor has womans clothes, downstairs has menswear and upstairs has more womans clothes and shoes and undies and jewellery and bags - its a good floor to be on! Sale time is the best - alot of their earrings and other little jewels go on sale for £1 so stock up! Student discount (10% off) available!

- Urban Outfitters - one of very few in the UK. A brilliant store. Ground floor has little nic nacs for your house and little novelty gifts can be a bit pricey. Upstairs clothes, small selection of shoes and a gigantic selection of accessories. In my opinion the best place to get some unusual accessories. Can be a bit pricey but you are definetly paying for something a little bit quirky so as a little treat its fine :D. Also very recently they have introduced student discount :D

- New Look - a massive flagship store, relatively new. Will take a while for you to go round but as it is one of the UK's favourite take your time!! Plenty of bargains to be had usually. Massive selection of clothes, and accessories on ground floor as well as a few tills so you won't be queing for long! Escalator downstairs takes you to the kids section and a massive shoe section! Ideal! Plenty of shoes to choose from and usually some little bargains to be had! Student discount (10% off) available as well!

- Im going to finish on Lush, a favourite store of many! This little lush store is wonderful. Very friendly staff, tons of gift sets, over 2 floors so plenty of space to look about and 2 sets of tills so you won't queue long!

I usually go for the train after lush! Further on though ther eis Office, All Saints, Dorothy Perkins (This can also be found towards sauchiehall street next to the Zavvi described earlier), Footlocker and Frasers.

Happy shopping!

Summary: Glasgow miles better!!!
