Advantages: good for range, price

Disadvantages: occasionally bad quality and badly designed

H&M can be found on every high street in the UK and indeed throughout the world. The Swedish company is excellent for delivering cheap fashion forward clothes and affordable basics.

They sell ranges for men, women and children and have a separate 'young trend' section which can at times veer towards neon brights and block prints.

Within the ranges they span all types of clothes; trousers to shirts, jeans to hoodies with all shapes and sizes of skirts and dresses.

I always find the clothes to be interesting and different and really reflect the swedish heritage of the store in their eclecticism.

Recently however Ive found the pricing to be very hit and miss you can pick up a dress and it could be £9.99 or anything up to £39.99 and the material will be the same quality. It is definitely getting more expensive.

However the range and styles on offer are excellent and the Jewelry is especially good. (although not always good quality, the gold will rub off some of the gold chains etc, but the same as any high street store.)

Recently H&M have been undertaking designer collaborations whose ranges are kept to the flagship stores and sell out very quickly. Among these have been collaborations with Madonna (not very innovative or wearable-----tracksuits :/ ), , Viktor and Rolf and Commes des Garcons. All of which were successful, with the latter 2 selling out within hours of hitting the shelves.

Basically a good place to buy interesting clothes and cheap basics, the quality isn't always amazing but is on a similar par with other high street retailers.

Summary: love it!
