~*~ H&M ~*~

As you will be able to tell from my reviews, shopping is one of my favourite things to do ever. I can happily spend hours (probably days) browsing the high street, happy to look and not purchase - although of course shopping without money is always frustrating! H&M is a shop I have never really found myself getting excited about, and one I often forget about to be honest with you!

~*~ About H&M ~*~

H&M are a fashion retailer with stores throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia and North America, which shows they are a success! H&M aim to provide fashion and quality at affordable prices to women, men and children. There are a variety of different ranges and brands within the store, including a maternity and baby range, teen range and accessories and lingerie. Although the store caters for a variety of age ranges, in all of the stores I have visited the womens department is always significantly larger than the others, and I think this is their main target market.

~*~ The stock ~*~

H&M sell clothes you would expect to find in any standard clothing store. Their womens department, for example, is home to a selection of cardigans in a variety of different cuts and colours, T-shirts and vests, and a selection of shoes. The mens department holds the same sort of clothing. It is not a high-fashion store and I have never found anything ground breaking or up-to-the-second in fashion, but its nice for little basics.

~*~ The prices ~*~

I can't say for men, but prices are on par to slightly above the prices of New Look - around £12 for a cardigan, £5 for a t-shirt and £30 ish for a pair of jeans, which come in a variety of lengths and fits which is great and much needed for people like me (short!)

~*~ The verdict ~*~

H&M is a nice little clothes shop and is always one of the first I think of going to for little plain t-shirts and cardigans or something more formal for work. However, it's not a store I can get excited over, and the stock seems to change very infrequently, so it is for this reason I go to Topshop for my evening and fashion clothes! Not a bad store, but never going to be my favourite.

Summary: A good basic fashion store

Very good review, agree about it not being as good as Topshop but to be fair it IS cheaper and does have the occasional gem in there.
