H&M - Would be fine if they stocked ADULT sizes!
Member Name: Emzycal
Advantages: Cute stuff, bric-a-brac.
Disadvantages: As stated in review.
H&M is a high-street clothing retailer with stores all over Britain (perhaps the world, I'm not sure and haven't checked) - my review is based on a few of the stores but mostly the clothes.
In my experience, H&M clothes go up to a size 12 if you're lucky. I don't care what the lables say (if you're lucky enough to find something with a lable that says a higher number!) - I've only ever managed to fit into H&M clothes when I was seriously underweight and unhealthy.
The underwear stocked is lovely - they have some great Hello Kitty stuff (or did, when I was last there) but again, only goes up to a ridiculously small size (put it this way, if your breasts are that small then there probably isn't much point even WEARING a bra!)
The quality of the clothes varies - I've had underwear sets from there that have lasted quite a while and only got thrown out because they didn't fit anymore - but, I've also had several t-shirts from there that have ripped the first time I put them on.
They stock a lot of cute tops and funky jackets and really nice jeans if you can squeeze into them. The prices are about average for a highstreet shop, but you're as well shopping at Primark (cheaper, slightly better sizes and about the same quality).
The only thing H&M is good for now that I'm a healthy weight is bric-a-brac - they sometimes have cute little make up items or accesories or even socks - but, honestly I don't think there's much point going in unless you're a size 8 (let's face it, very few of us are!) and I seriously wonder who they're catering to apart from pre-teens and emaciated emos since I can count on one hand the amount of women I know who could fit into an H&M bra or suchlike.
If they are only going to stock tiny sizes, they should make the fact that they are a minus-sized shop obvious in advertising or whatever (just as a plus-sized shop would do!)
Summary: No good for me.
