Disadvantages: wrong sizes
H & M are a high street fashion retailer. They have shops located in shopping centres, high streets and have recently started opening stores in retail parks.
They stock men, ladies, children's and babies apparel, they're also one of the few fashion stores that stock maternity clothes.
When you enter the store you'll be confronted by a huge choice of different fashion. The sizes aren't to be believed, when they are labeled with British sizes they are often wrong. They are very much on the small size, and I'm not being vein, when you're shopping there get a size bigger as a general rule and always try them on. A lot of the clothes are sized in European sizes or something and there are no keys to indicate which sizes are the equivalent to British sizes. There are loads of dummies around displaying different outfits, the problem with this is, if you see an item or outfit you like it takes ages to find because the clothes are never near the dummies and there's so much to wade through.
The clothes are priced well considering they are fashion clothes and aren't supposed to last very long, which is often the case with a much higher price tag in other shops.
The children's section offer different items from the same old stuff you get everywhere they even have nearly as much choice for boys as girls, which is unusual. The baby section has a limited choice and I've never really liked many of the choices that are there.
The Maternity section is great. It has a very wide choice, as maternity sections go, they are up to date with the fashion of the time and reasonably priced, which is very unusual in fashion retailers.
The staff are generally quite helpful and efficient but not very friendly, I'm not too bothered about friendliness I want good service with no attitude, so I'm happy.
All in all a cheap, modern shopping experience.
Summary: give it a try
