A little pricey but great quality!

Advantages: Unique, good quality, nice clothes, friendly staff
Disadvantages: Expensive, too loud and dark for older people!
Hollister Co. is owned by Abercromie & Fitch and boy can you tell! The store is designed to create an atmosphere, with it's dimmed lights and loud American dance beats blasting throughout the store, it's supposed to feel as if you just stepped into Southern California. The store is packed with surf boards, canoes and plastic plants to add to the feel. 'SoCal' aftershave is sprayed periodically around the store to give it a nice smell.
The clothes on offer are beachy and supposed to look effortlessly cool, with a range from sweat pants to dresses on offer but the only shoes for sale are flip-flops. The clothes are all great quality and extremely soft (although the softness decreases after a few washes). However, in the UK the prices are a little high-end due to the cost of shipping and tax.
The returns policy is very good, with an unlimited time to return so long as the tag is on the clothing and you still have the receipt.
Employees are scouted for their looks rather than sales abilities but hired originally on a one month contract to sift out those lacking a work ethic. So it works out ok in the end to leave those who fit the infamous 'look policy' as well as paying attention to the customers.
Summary: A popular store but really for young people
