Advantages: Good quality items

Disadvantages: Fairly pricey and becoming more common

Jack Wills was founded in 1999, and is named after the current managing director's grandfather. The brand has been growing in popularity in recent months and is aimed at middle to upper-middle class university students.

Jack Wills clothing is of a laid-back, preppy style and some of its most popular items are hoodies (£60-70), casual shirts (£60-70) and sweatpants (£50-70). Other key items within the range are pyjamas, knitwear, jeans and polo shirts.

Jack Wills issues 5 catalogues/collections each year - Spring, Summer, Summer Holiday, Autumn and Christmas.
An online sale of the previous season's stock begins when the new collection arrives, and there is somewhat of a 'permanent sale' at the company's outlet stores at Gunwharf Keys and Bicester Village.

There are 30 stores in England (the flagship store being in Salcombe, Devon) and 1 in Ireland. The stores themselves are decorated in a 'traditional english style'.
My experience of visiting the stores themselves has been very positive - the employees are very friendly and helpful.

In my opinion, Jack Wills is the UK's equivalent to the popular US brands Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle.
I have been a fan of Jack Wills for a couple of years now, but have noticed that the brand is becoming increasingly more popular and more common, which has made me slightly less keen on it.
I find that the prices of some of the products (such as the t-shirts and vest tops) are overpriced for what they are and that the sale prices are much more realistic.
Celebrites that are fans of Jack Wills are Ray Quinn, Zac Efron, Katie Price and Princes William and Harry.

Jack Wills has recently launched a sister company, Aubin & Wills, which caters for those who are no longer of university age and have grown out of the Jack Wills brand.

Summary: Good quality casual clothes for a laid-back lifestyle

I find them too expensive and pretty dull. And they don't just have stores in England - there's a store near me in Edinburgh :-)

Thanks! abercrombie92 I know what you mean - it's so frustrating to see everyone wearing the same thing as you all of a sudden!

I love Jack Wills, it just pisses me off that I can walk down the street and see 5 people with the same hoodie as me, when this time last year, no one had heard of it. Welcome to dooyoo. x
