Jack Wills is not just a British clothing brand but a British lifestyle brand that has proven to be very popular over the years. It was founded back in 1999 and so is a relatively new clothing brand and has multiple shops dotted around the United Kingdom. It claims to be aimed at university students 'Jack Wills university outfitters' but is more aimed at students as a whole. Jack Wills has only 31 shops in total now making still a relatively small company when considering the amount of popularity it has had in recent years.

Many people see it as vulgar in that in is an exlcusive clothing brand where you are asked to pay a high premium price. For example £70 for a brand new oxford shirt. I however have bought many things from Jack Wills and what I love about it is that the quality is exceptional. Everything from the packaging is really delivered to a high standard and it gives a great impressional overall. In all seasons there is a clerance section which allows consumers to buy the clothes for a much cheaper price. This I find appealing although you do not get the fancy bag.

It does frustrate me however that there is a much higher proportion of women's clothing to male. They should really balance it out better and that they way attract more male consumers. One major feature of Jack Wills is that they release a Jack Wills catalogue each season such as 'The summer term' etc. It is free and is really well produced, the paper is of a high quality and it gives you a real feeling of class. I understand that many people find it quite snobbish but appreciating it for the clothes alone is fair.

The clothing selection is really good, but the main thing is the quality of the clothes. Each season a whole new selection is brought out and so it is always up to date with the latest trends. I like the way that if you want to get something that is in the current season but is too expensive, you can just wait until next season and then if your lucky pick it up in the clearance. It is aimed at upper-middle class families and so yes you do need a fair bit of money but in my opinion it is well worth it. The clothes are based on traditional British heritage and I think that Jack Wills serves it well.

Jack Wills are also very good at organising events for a very low cost for its consumers. For example, this year for only £10 you can go to see 5 polo matches between top universities and top schools such as Harvard and Eton. There is also an after party which costs more but will last for a few hours. The cost of this is very cheap and it really is a nice touch, that will I'm sure enhance their image further. Upon arrival you will get a goody bag with a Jack WIills limited edition shirt, included with your £50 ticket!

Jack Wills does have a stereotypical image of being just for private school students and other whealthy individuals and in many ways this is most certainly the case. That's why they can get away with such high prices, but if you are quite whealthy then I would recommend this clothing brand because you will not find yourself disappointed with the quality of the clothes. It would make an excellent Christmas present to members of the family in their teens etc and I'm sure it will be well recieved.

More recently Jack Wills has just launched another brand known as 'Aubin and Wills' which is now aimed at graduate students. This is a growing company and I think that their clothing ranges really are very good. The service I have recieved when buying clothes from them has beene exceptional and the delivery has been very quick indeed. I don't like the large ques outside some of the shops in London and I don't like the way they expect you to pay £30 for a t-shirt with the words 'Jack Wills' over it. Don't forget many people are drawn into this type of culture but I believe that if you look beyond this a very high quality, british heritage clothing brand exists and I'm sure it will excel in the future.

I would really recommend this, even if you only buy just the one shirt in the clerance I still think you will be very impressed. The whole lifestyle of Jack Wills is a fantastic one and I think one that will have you well entertained. It is perhaps cheaper than you relise to start getting involved, so go ahead!
