Given that my trip to Brentwood, Essex was pretty much inspired by watching the programme the only was is Essex it was natural that as a group we would want to visit some of the places which feature on the show. One of the places that we decided to go and visit was Minnie's boutique which is a boutique owned by Sam and Billie Faiers.
Minnie's opened in the spring of 2011 so is relatively new but despite this the boutique does very well with fans of the show regularly visiting. The boutique is just off the main Brentwood High Street but is quite tricky to find so I would advise just asking someone to point you in the right direction. The boutique is located on a small cobbled street which immediately appears exclusive as all of the shops just seem to match and look very well presented. There are only a few shops on the street too which seems to help give an exclusive feel.
The front of the shop is has green coloured woodwork around the doors and windows as well as a golden coloured sign with the black Minnie's logo above the door. The area around the shop is clean and free from litter and given the amount of visitors that come through the area I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this!
Inside the shop I was quite surprised at how small the boutique was and given that so many people seem to come down to the shop just for a look or in the hope of meeting either Sam or Billie it can often look quite busy inside. There were a lot of people when I went with my family and a few people have also reported the same to me as well.
Inside the boutique the central piece is a table with various Minnie's branded items such as dressing gowns and bags. I purchased a black dressing gown which cost me £30.00 but it is lovely and soft and just seems more luxurious than a bog standard one. There are also rails along both sides of the shop which feature dresses and tops and what not from brands such as lipsy, little mistress, Maggie+Me and various others. Prices really do vary in the shop as you would expect and there are some rather expensive items in there but there are also little items such as a Minnie's notebook for just £5.99 if you are looking for a souvenir as opposed to an outfit.
We visited Minnie's on Easter Saturday and were lucky enough to have noticed on twitter that Sam and Billie would be working. We were actually served by Sam and she obliged when we asked could we have a picture with her and was really very pleasant. I am sure the girls are used to being asked for their pictures but it was nice not to feel like a nuisance!
The boutique opens at 10am and I think it shuts at 4pm. There is also a website for the boutique at http://minnies-boutique.co.uk/ and you are able to place orders over the telephone too should you wish to. I believe they do ship internationally but of course postage will reflect this. You can pay by all major cards or cash for your purchases.
I would recommend visiting Minnie's if you are a fan of the only way is Essex or if you are looking for a special dress perhaps!
Thank you for reading my review!
