In my opinion, Punkyfish is a good clothing line with some brilliant styles which are appealing to many teenage girls, such as my friends and I. However, I feel that there isn't enough variety in what is designed and that the clothes are overpriced. Whenever I go to a Punkyfish store, I go to the sale rack as I can generally afford what is on there, but a lot of the time I am disappointed in what I see. The last time I went to Punkyfish, a brought a top from the sale rack and it only cost a fiver. It was a nice top, and looking at the other items on the sale rack, it was the best one there. The items of clothing on the sale rack were digusting, and in my opinion looked like clothes that nobody wanted. I also spotted a jacket that I really liked. I was thinking of buying it when I looked at the price tag, £49.99. I was gutted, I only had £20 on me. Many of my friends can't afford the clothes, most of us only get a tenner a month from our parents.
Another thing that annoys is the sizing, 'one size fits all' and 'S/M/L'. The S/M/L sizing for tops is ok, it's when they use that for trousers. It annoys me so much as you can be a different size for a different style. For instance, you could be a M for a pair of skinny jeans, but a S for some jog bottoms. In other words, you don't actually know what size you are in most cases. So although Punkyfish styles are nice, the garments are overpriced and the sizes aren't clear enough. Saying 'one size fits all' is stupid; I'm 13, so if a skirt fitted me, would it fit someone twice my age who is a lot bigger than me? Also, Punkyfish, like many other stores, has fallen into the trap of stocking clothes for skinny people. Perhaps they should stock for larger people and lower the prices; they may attract more publicity.
