Advantages: Support your local town centres, great choice, great prices

Disadvantages: Selection of toys very small in our store

My small town centre has one of these shops and it is always worth a wander around. I had never heard of qs and I don't know how well known they are but basically you can buy clothes, shoes, accessories, toys and home items in our shop.

Womens, mens and childrens clothes are available. I have bought several items of clothing from this shop and they have been very good value (£4 per top, £12 for a smart shirt, £3 for slippers to give you an idea). The clothes are well made. The fabric was thick enough to not show everything underneath (something I don't find with other cheap clothes shops where the fabric is really obviously cheap) and washed very well, keeping its shape.

I've bought clothes for my husband and son too and all of those have been good quality too. Although they don't stock many clothes for babies in our shop, mostly for toddlers and older.

I have bought lots of things for the home as well. Their photo frames are excellent value from £1 onwards and they don't look that cheap either. Since I now take 8,000,000 pictures of my son every day it's just as well they are cheap. Their bedding and throws are also excellent quality.

The only downside with this shop is the selection of toys. They only offer a small selection of toys and nothing I would want to buy as presents. On the other hand if you are after something for your own kid as a treat then it would be worth a look, most things start from £1 upto £10.

The stock changes regularly so you have a good choice and the clothing does follow the current trend.

I shop here a lot for a few reasons: the quality is good, the price is within my budget and more importantly i am supporting the local trade and hopefully helping to keep the biggest shop in my town centre open. And the money I save on the commuting can be spent on me lol.

Summary: A good store, great to have a peek in you never know what you might find

There's a QS in my local town centre too. I've bought odd items which have been very good value, although there is some rubbish to be found too!
I have to admit that I sometimes use the shop as bribery with my 3 year old son. If we go shopping I might pop into QS first where he will inevitably find a toy that he desperately wants, usually for just a couple of quid. I then tell him that if he's a good boy whilst we are in town, we will return to buy the toy for him. It works a treat! :o)

I struggle to find clothes I like in here. I did get some lovely bed socks which kept my feet toasty last winter but that was it sadly :-(
