Newest Review: ... November 2008 but they were too small. I returned them the following day for the next size up but none were in stock and I was told they would not be restocking. I asked for a refund but they would not give one. I then asked for a credit note and, unlike for the last reviewer, they said they did not give them. I found myself having to buy a much more expensive pair of jeans just to get my cash back. In fairness they did have a small sign in the shop saying they did not give refunds but I did not see this at the time. This form of trading is totally unacceptable and should be illegal. I would not buy anything from this shop ever again.... more

I had a similar bad experience to the last reviewer. I bought a pair of jeans, my usual size, on 6th November 2008 but they were too small. I returned them the following day for the next size up but none were in stock and I was told they would not be restocking. I asked for a refund but they would not give one. My partner went to the Stockport branch on Friday the 16.5.03 to purchase some extra-large T Shirts for me to use on my forthcoming holiday. When I tried them on, they proved to be too small. It was sunday the 18.5.03 before we could get back to the store to change them. The staff were very courtious and asked me to find replacements. I had a good look around but could not find anything suitable as replacements. We then asked for a refund. We were totally amazed to be told that we could not be given a refund, but we could have a voucher to spend at a later date. I would just like to comment on what brilliant service I have always received from Stolen From Ivor. Stolen From Ivor is a fashion shop in Blackburn Shopping Centre that stocks mainly men’s and boys clothes although they do stock a few women’s items such as jeans and T-shirts. They are a discount shop and their prices are very reasonable. As many of you may know, around about now is the time that everyone goes shopping for school uniforms. What a nightmare! Every shop you go in is full of mums trying to get their kids sorted out with pants, shirts, jumpers, coats, shoes, bags, stationery, haircuts, trainers, sports gear etc. ...
