Advantages: Easy to Use, Powerful, Effective

Disadvantages: Quite Expensive

Firstly I was advised to use this software because i was told that it was the easiest to learn. When I heard that I thought to myself that it probably wouldn't be all that powerful, but then when I started to use it I was found to be very much mistaken. I can't go over all the features of this program due to the time it would take but here is just a few examples.
Not only does it have a very easy to use graphical user interface but it also has a very helpful tutorial guide to boot which will take you through some of the main features of the software and get you acquainted.
An example of its power, is that 3D Studio Max has been used in such films as Deep Impact and lost in Space to name but a few and also used in all the Tombraider games.
For someone who wants a powerful but easy way to create stunning visual effects on a home PC this has to be the only way to go!
