Advantages: Cheaper than 3Ds max

I do use 3Ds Viz as well, there isn't much difference as compare to 3Ds Max. 3Ds Viz has less features than 3Ds Max, because it it designed specially for the architectural 3D graphics. The quality of the output is as good as 3Ds max. The rendering speed is slower than 3Ds Max, but it has a complete 3D library of objects relevents to the architectural design such as different types of trees, and shrubs for landscaping. You can get a cheaper student version from your University. I think it costs about £500 for students.
