However, when something like Doctor Who or The Apprentice is on and I just don t have time for one of the episodes, I heave a huge sigh of relief for the joyful service that is BBC iPlayer. The iPlayer is a catch-up service that lets you watch TV episodes (and listen to radio shows!) online that you missed when they were broadcast, though they re only online for a set time. ... getting a laptop last year I first found the benefits of i-player after Christmas last year and caught up on a few Christmas specials that I d missed. I find i-player to be really easy to use. There is a link on the BBC homepage (bbc.co.uk) or you can go direct to bbc.co.uk/iplayer - the most popular shows are often on the iplayer homepage so you can just click on them. I prefer to watch the shows in full screen although occasionally this does mean a slight loss of quality. I ve never had a problem with the sound quality and generally picture very good.
