I use version 3.1, dont know if its exactly the same for 3.0 What a great program, you can view virtually any image you have on your computer, and all of the extra plugins make this one of the most powerful image viewing packages I've ever seen. The video and sound auto-play can be annoying, but that can be turned off. One problem I found was that this program sometimes crashed when I was creating a new folder, but I put it onto a new windows installation and it no longer happens, so I doubt it was the fault of the program. The zip archive support is a bit crappy, but I notified ACDSystems of this, and hopefully it will be improved in later versions ... Read the complete review

ACDC is the best but most people will not notice all the features it has. The first thing I do is associate it with all graphic formats so when I double click on a graphic file in explorer it comes right up. When you double click on an image it goes into a main viewer where you can press SPACEBAR or go forward through all graphics in that folder or BACKSPACE to go back. You can also zoom in and out. When you double click on that image, it brings you in to a folder viewer. For the first time after installation, I always go to the VIEW menu up top and choose THUMBNAILS, which will show you all graphics in your folder in thumbnails (which is very handy to ... I used to have verion 2.4 and then upgraded to verion 3 and I wasn't really impressed. I only want AcdSee to view images not to listen to audio files or do any other stuff with it.. I felt with all these new options it slowed everything down, it may be still seem fast to users who have not tried version 2.4, but believe me when I say with version 3 the images come up slower than with version 2. Since I formatted my computer I didn't install AcdSee version 3, I instead went back and installed version 2.4 and I still have that on my computer. I usually do like to have the latest stuff, but that is one which I am happy not upgrading too..!! ... Read the complete review

The standard viewer for picture files which is supplied for windows cannot be described as any more than functional. If you want something with a bit of bite, then i highly recommend you get a copy of acdsee. It handles almost all the picture file formats currently around, and is lightning fast in its execution. You can create image sequences, and if your especially lazy (like me) you can view your picture files with the aid of a slideshow. It also comes packaged with a few little extras, such as a file convertor, allowing you to convert say a jpg file to a gif, tiff or bmp file. The program can also be used to download and ...
