Having used Adobe Photoshop for over 5 years now, I find this an essential piece of software to have installed on the PC. Initially the primary use has always been for photography and graphic design. Unlike the more simple photo editing tools, Photoshop includes more advanced features beyond the basic picture enhancement, sharpening and cropping. I do a fair bit of freelance digital photography and I needed a professional photo-editing program. After trying a few cheaper alternatives, I splashed out on Abode Photoshop 7 (£550 worth of software!) and I now use it almost every day.
