Having used Adobe Photoshop for over 5 years now, I find this an essential piece of software to have installed on the PC. Initially the primary use has always been for photography and graphic design. Unlike the more simple photo editing tools, Photoshop includes more advanced features beyond the basic picture enhancement, sharpening and cropping. I do a fair bit of freelance digital photography and I needed a professional photo-editing program. After trying a few cheaper alternatives, I splashed out on Abode Photoshop 7 (£550 worth of software!) and I now use it almost every day. Unless you've been living in a cave or are quite simply dull, you'll have pretty much certainly have heard of Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop has always been the application for professionals not only for image editors / web designers, but great to develop photo- editing skills among amateurs ,too. It is the most powerful photo editing application ever, despite the fact that other apps on the market( like Gimp) are free to use or much cheaper. Years ago I bought it from Adobe retailer for 299! Pricey , but worth every penny.
