AnalogX POW!

Anyone else getting a little harassed with the pop-up windows that appear whenever you rate an opinion? Well, I am, so I've been scouring the dooyoo internet section to try and find a way to get rid of these horrible boxes that are driving me demented! And the best application seems to be POW. This is a program you can download onto your machine, and when you have it running, it recognizes all the popups and displays them in a list. The internet is good isn't it? Yeah, I think so too. Despite it's brilliance, our old friend Mr WWW has a lot of bad habits. Including, filling your hard-drive with websites you've been to, storing lots of cookies for fun, allowing disturbing people to hack into your PC, and filling your screen with lots and lots of pop-ups that you really don't like. Remember the annoying Nokia popups which sprouted on Dooyoo the other week? This is a clever, free utility which gets rid of things like that. POW! is an amazing little program – and little it is, it only takes a few minutes to download. I don’t usually trust free programs like this, I always think they must be gathering all sorts of information from my system while they work. This one seems to be OK though. I'm sure I'm not the only person becoming just a little irritated at the number of pop-up windows one has to endure to browse the internet. It is a rare occasion when you find a site free of advertising, and ever rare that it has good content. Pop-ups. We all hate them, don't we? But how to get rid of them. There are several ways, and one is by using a pop-up blocking program. The one I'm using today is called POW by AnalogX!
