AVG AntiVirus Free Edition ... Antivirus Free Edition I have used Norton antivirus and most recently Mc Afee in the past. I got the McAfee free for the first year when I took out my sky package. The year is just about up and I didn t fancy the prospect of forking out for another expensive replacement. I had found McAfee to be decent enough it was better than Norton but both definitely slowed the computer down and if you were running a scan you could do nothing else with the computer whilst the scan round. AVG AntiVirus Free Edition ... have had this piece of software on my computer for over a year now. Over that past year i have had quite a few major viruses but thanks to this software i managed to get rid of them. Although the original AVG Anti-virus searches for more things like credit card scams the original comes with quite a big price tag considering that you can get the main searches for free. On the AVG Anti-Virus software the free version you have 3 tabs on your left hand side the first one is overview: which basically tells you if you have any viruses and if you have any warnings which i get around 30 a day, the second tab is update: If you become a regular user every day you will need to up... AVG AntiVirus Free Edition ... icon in the task bar showing the progress of downloading/ scanning every email. It scans the emails very quickly, so I can t think of a reason not to have emailed scanning turned on. I think it has an amazing amount of features for a free product, with no adverts or annoying popups or any other annoyances! An important point for any Antivirus program is I that they don t use up all your system s resources, and AVG uses very little. I ve ran some pcs without any antivirus and then with AVG and there has been no noticeable decrease in performance.
