But I believe you both have to have aol 9 to send pictures, I could be wrong though. On aol 9 with the instant messager you can pick a character to be, like a cat, dog, cartoon , I pick tweety bird. On aol 9 it's animations, but on aol 8 or lower it a still picture of tweety bird. You also can have sounds effects ,so the person you and writing to will know you sent a message. AOL Instant Messenger is one of the better instant messengers out there today. The actual AOL software comes with its own built in messaging facilities if you are a user of that particular service provider but this stand alone product is far superior to that and you needn't be an AOL member to use it. All you have to do its download a small software program available from the usual download sites, follow the brief installation instructions and away you go. When I come on the internet I do one of two things. I either play Red Alert 2 or Download things. I find Aol Instant Messanger the best messaging service for both of these things for several reasons. Before I go into them let me point out one thing. AIM is not the same as the messanger Built into the AOl 6.0 software. Firstly I shall list the messaging services I have : Aol Instant Messanger Msn Messanger Yahoo Messanger Icq In my opinion AIM is far superior to MSN or Yahoo. It does come close to ICQ though. AOL Instant Messenger is one of the best Instant Messenger programs. I also have Yahoo Instant Messenger and MSN Instant Messenger but find AOL very easy to use. I like chatting to people internationally as well as people from the UK. About 90% of the people I chat to are from America and this can be annoying! I have just heard that you can now download an English version of AOL Instant Messenger, where you only talk to people from the UK!
