AOL Instant Messenger has been around for a while now.

AIM is a well known communication tool used by millions around the world. I mself use it to keep in touch with friends in America and I find it very useful and able. It is also free which is another bonus to this quality piece of software.

I would recommend this to anyone who uses chat and instant messaging alot. The ability to have live conversations or just text typing is a must for all.

It's simple and easy to use. It is packed full of features from top to bottom and I find that it is better than any other chat program that is currently around despite the fact that MSN Instant Messenger 3.0 comes close to being as good.

It's simple layout is effective and clear for the typical user and although there is advertising it doesn't get in the way too much. The News Ticker feature can be handy for those who like to stay upto date with international news, entertainment, business and sports.
