MAME ... other things the ability to change the character you are using mid-game, this was a random change though! Screenshot support ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you so desired you could download pictures of every single game present in MAME (or create your own). These can then be displayed every time you highlight the games name in the MAME browser. This is a pretty superficial option, but is nice to have all the same. It can also be handy if you have a complete set of ROMS, so you can browse through the games and pick one if you like the look of it from the picture. MAME ... machines themselves. Whilst all the ROM's state that to legally play any of the games you must own an original copy of the ROM for the arcade machine. However, this is merely a formality, and is widely ignored by most MAME users. In addition to all of the old arcade games, MAME also supports emulations of a wide range of home console systems - too many to list from memory. Generally, the actual emulator is quite forgiving, although it is a lot easier to find inaccurate replicated ROM's on the web, and as a result find games that do not run like the original arcade games. Pinball emulators ... table. You can use the standard mame keys, so 5 for inserting a coin, and 1 for starting the game. Off you go. Additions ~~~~ As you play a table, you might find something missing. Especially the newer tables (The Addams Family, Twilight Zone etc), all have a DMD (Dot Matrix Display), which shows scores, and small movies when you his specific triggers. This is something which is not yet incorporated in VP, but there is a specific program for that. This program is called Visual Pinmame.
