Audacity is a free piece of Audio editing software that I have been using for around 5 years now! (Wow, doesn't time fly!!)

I got interested in this sort of thing, when I started working at our local radio station, they had the all singing all dancing, professional, (and expensive version!)

I needed something easy to use, and free. I found this little beauty!

Audacity is packed with a whole host of professional features, to help you on your way with creating and editing music and audio. The best thing of all though, is that it's free!

The software itself is really easy to use, and although it may look a bit complicated to start with, it is actually really easy to learn how everything works. Before you know it, you will be able to mix all sorts of sounds.

I found this one of the best tools, when I set up our radio station at college, as well. It came in so handy when we needed to create some production audio, really quickly, and when it came to covering breaking news stories, we wouldn't have stood a chance, if it wasn't for audacity!

Summary: What a wonderful piece of software. I don't think I could live without it!
