AVG AntiVirus Free Edition

In response to the review stating AVG Free can't detect common viruses (based on two files detected by Symantec), I can only say this: I've run McAfee (with its constant system load) for over two years, and it has NEVER detected any bad files. But wanting to get some throughput from my system, I uninstalled McAfee and installed AVG 7.5 Free. During its first run, it detected and eliminated a Trojan file McAfee never saw! Now I have a Windows XPSP2 system that restarts in five minutes (instead of twelve to fifteen minutes) and an Internet Explorer 7 browser tbat ALMOST loads as fast as Firefox 2! AVG Free Edition 7.5 is the most popular completely free Anti-Virus software for Windows XP. I've been using AVG Free Edition for about 2 years now, downloading the software took around 2-3 minutes using a 2MB broadband connection. Installed AVG on my computer with no problems at all, uses very little system resources and have had no viruses or spyware since installing so seems to be doing a good job of detecting and deleting viruses.
