Advantages: Free and works on Vista!

After constant problems with Nortons, such as virus definition download problems and unexplained and random changes to its settings, I decided to give AVG a go. After two years of use, I have found it to be reliable, stable, easy to use and effective. I have had no virus problems, even though I use the internet for browsing and emailing extensively. It has automatically updated itself to newer version several times. I have never been 'reminded' to upgrade to the 'Pro' paid version after initial setup, unlike the constant flood of email I received from Nortons. I have recommended AVG to many of my friends who are now using it for FREE as well. No one has had any virus problems. So overall, I would recommended AVG antivirus to everyone.
There is also a version of AVG that costs money, I wouldn't advise buying this as It's pretty much the same and the additional features can be replaced with other free programs.

It also works on Vista!
