Advantages: Free, easy to use and doesn't slow computer, o and did i mention it was free

Disadvantages: Noting to report after a year using

I downloaded this as my Norton subscipton expired and due to the credit crunch, I opted for AVG free. I was abit cautious with downloading a free anti-virus especially as there is a paid version of AVG. However I must admit that the free version is very good.

The software is easy to use and very newbie friendly. Key terms are explained and it has really speeded up my computer as Norton took up a load to CPU. This seems to just run quietly in the background and hasn't bovered me at all (and i hope it won't ever need to!)

I would definately recommend AVG free for anyone needing a new anti-virus and this software has shown me that paid for anti-virus are a waste of money and I can get software just as good for free!

The software is a joy to use and does not slow your computer down
