Advantages: Free, fast and doesn't affect the way I use my computer

AVG anti virus is a free software that protects your computer from viruses and trojan's. In my opinion, it's absolutely FANTASTIC! To be honest, I can't fault this programme! I've had it on my laptop since i bought it, 2 and a half years ago. It's also on the computer downstairs, and so far, we haven't had one virus. It's the best anti virus i've ever had, regardless of the fact that it's free. I find that this anti virus runs in the background, rather than one like Norton or McAfee, which tend to seriously slow down the computer.
The schedules scans run, not affecting the way I use my computer and it picks up everything from viruses to spyware. Since i've had AVG on my computer, I must say that i have not had any trouble at all!
I was offered a well-known anti virus as a part of my internet deal, but as soon as i installed it, i found that it slowed down my computer drastically, and so i reinstalled this!! It's a software that I would definitely recommend!
