*~*~*~* PLEASE excuse the long intro, but I want to get an IMPORTANT message to all computer users in the of this FREE ANTI VIRUS program that is available to all in the UK, which I have to say from experience does a very efficient and effective job of protecting our system from nasty little computer cretins (viruses).*~*~*~* SKIP pass the intro ... AVG As a new virus scare seems to happen almost everyday, it would seem foolish not to have a decent virus-checking program. What is AVG? ************ AVG is a virus checker that is developed and supported by Grisoft, and is recognized as being one of the best and most reliable Virus checkers in the business. It is ... Back in the days when the internet on a home PC was very unlikely, very few people worried about anti-virus software. Also around this time, there were very few ‘hackers’ and ‘crackers’ mainly because they had no easy access into your computer. Well things have changed, nearly everyone with a PC, is also on the ... ==++ UPDATED ++== Came across what could be a minor glitch with AVG. I run Windows ME and among other stuff, Internet Explorer 5.5. When using Explorer I found it very useful to be able to view the source code of a web page by selecting the View menu and then Source, especially when updating my own web site pages and also to see how other ... Whilst reading a magazine article about anti-virus software, I was intrigued to learn that you could actually download free anti-virus software from the Internet. I must admit I was quite sceptical about this as I thought "why is it free?" & "if it's free, then it can't be very good!" However, I have since ... Read the complete review

I stumbled across this program while looking through dooyoo opinions and decided to go a check it out at the web site. Having used this program for a week now I am impressed although not totally convinced. AVG is very easy to install and use, it scans Outlook email and obviously the entire hard drive, however it scans every single file ... Read the complete review

One of the handiest pieces of software I've downloaded. Forget all your 'Norton Anti-Virus' and 'Symantec Utilities' etc... Wander on over to grisoft.com and download a copy of AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition, not a demonstration copy or one that only works for a few weeks. But a fully functional, anti-virus protection program that ... Read the complete review

Tried this program myself recently and found its works far better than any Microsoft or Norton applications. McAffee looks cack compared with AVG. Its user interface is easy to use and the navigation is simple. Norton is pretty slow and doesn't pick up on everything. Microsoft programs just DO NOT WORK, and nobody should continue to fill ... After searching for a suitable Anti-Virus program for years, I have finally found one. This program uses large, simple buttons to allow the user to do everything from scan their hard-drive/removable media, to scanning their E-mails. The program automatically downloads new updates when they are released, and takes up very little system memory. ... Read the complete review

Don't Leave Your Machine Unprotected! I have surfed the net for years and downloaded all sorts of programs onto my machine without a single problem until a couple of days ago, when I suddenly realised that I had a virus on my computer. The AVG Anti-Virus 6 Scanner is free over the internet (downloadable from www.grisoft.com) and works very well (better than some of the purchased products my friends own). I've tried many virus scanner programmes over the last two years, most of which seem to cause more harm than good by clogging my system and slowing down programmes.
