Anyone remember, back in the good old days of Windows 3.1, the simple little card file that was part of the package? The beauty of that was its flexibility. You could put anything you wanted (almost) on the card, in any layout you wanted. Then Bill Gates decided that he would make things ‘easy’ for us by providing us with already laid-out filing systems (e.g. the address books in MS Scheduler, Outlook, etc.) with dozens of fields for our contacts, most of which remain empty.
