Is this a blessing in disguise? I sure think so! The BBC iPlayer is a fantastic little service offered by BBC. It is a perfect solution for someone in my position.

I share a flat with my housemate. We watch different things and I always do not have access to the TV. Sometimes, I make plans for the evening missing out on some of my favorite shows. Other times, I have friends on the phone that interrupt a favorite program. I have family that live abroad and they call me at the strangest of times!

My solution: The BBC iPlayer! Initially, when the service started, the streaming was a bit funny and inconsistent and it put me off for a while. About 2 weeks later, I gave it another shot and guess what, I never watch TV anymore!

Any programme, anytime is the key. I can watch it at the comfort of my bedroom (I only have 1 TV in the living room)! I can curl up in this cold winter and enjoy my favorite shows when I fancy it!

Programmes are usually available for about 2 weeks after the first relay on TV, but most often you can download them to keep them for longer.

The quality of the videos are excellent, the streaming flawless and it really is just like TV if you have a good laptop! You can search for programmes by category and there really is a lot to choose from! There are good programmes from day time tele (i know) which I have never watched before. The iPlayer had enabled me to watch some of these too!

Overall, amazing TV on the internet!!
