Advantages: Easy to use, good documentaries

Disadvantages: not much choice

The BBC launched this tv programme viewer online. I have just enjoyed watching 2 BBC three programmes that I wouldnt have noticed on the normal tv. They were broadcast in the last week, and the iplayer has meant that I can watch them on this boring sunday evening.

The other good thing about the player is that you can pause the programme, so if you want a cup of tea or need the loo then you dont miss any of the rest of the programme.

It can be accessed from the bbc home page, just press on the link. Then choose a channel, or a programme from the top list. Then just choose the programme from the channels you like, and press play. No adverts, no waffle before or bbc adverts, just the programme.

I find that the bbc three documentaries are the most interesting on the i player, I have just watched one about a british girl who is really religious, and the 18 pregnant school girls. Both were good documentaries about controversial topics.

The iplayer is really easy to use, and certainly is a good tool if you miss programmes and dont have virgin catchup. It doesnt need installing like 4OD and can be used by anyone with a broadband connection
