TV - without the tie downs! (BBC iPlayer)

Lately I have been using Iplayer a heck of a lot. As a busy student, I don't really get much time to watch TV and when I do get some time, there is nothing on air that is worth watching. I have Sky, but I don't have Sky Plus - so programmes like this which allow to hand pick and watch any programme from the last few days is great!

Iplayer, like I have already mentioned, is basically TV catch up on the internet. Just go to the website (which is easily brought up with a Google search), and then either search for your programme by "most watched", by date or by channel. Often I will go on there without knowing what programme I will watch, but the most popular and in demand ones are usually displayed on the homepage for some inspiration.

I have found that unlike youtube, there are no issues with videos playing in 3 second clips, then pausing, then playing etc. Generally the programme will play in one fluid clip, like it would on television. The quality and sound are very good, and along with each programme is a list of the previous episodes below, incase you want to watch even further back, because you find yourself really getting into a particular series.

What more can I say! Fantastic little service, I use it all the time, and I highly recommend it for those of us that do not always hve the time to sit down and watch the TV at specific times, particularly at prime time.
