BBC iplayer is a service where every bbc program is on demand for anyone with an internet connection to watch. As a student, this is brilliant as it does not require a TV licence to watch everything apart from the live chanel streamings.

There is also the option to download the programs, which is a useful feature for anyone who wants to watch them on a portable device. The iplayer is also available on virgin and sky services, and will soon be coming to free view one it gains a broadband capability.

iplayer has become a lot more reliable and easy to navigate since its beginnings, and also has all the radio stations available, as well as the track listings from each one.

I would recommend using the iplayer, as it puts an end to recording programs, and offers a completely free way to view programs usually only shown on digital
